PURPOSE:To dispense with any special device for mounting-and-dismounting for reducing the total size of a transformer and gas insulation apparatus, by providing an expansion joint of the connecting section in the transformer at a position where it is mountable-and- dismountable and at the same time providing mounting-and-dismounting function inside the transformer. CONSTITUTION:A mounting-and-dismounting conductor 25 is tightened electrically and mechanically by bolts 32 to a conductor 26 on the left and to a connecting conductor 27 on the right. The bolts 32 can be tightened or removed by removing a shield 24 which is fixed to the mounting-and-dismounting conductor 25 with a bolt 33. After removing the mounting-and- dismounting conductor 25 and the connecting conductor 27 through a working manhole which the blank covers 34, 35 are removed, an expansion joint A23 is shortened with a stud 38 and a nut 39.
