状に湾曲してなる画像形成装置の給紙装置におい
て、 Ａ 上記略Ｕ字状の用紙搬送路の一部を形成す
る内側ガイドが揺動自在であること、 Ｂ 当該用紙搬送路を通過する用紙が上記内側
ガイドに接触することにより、用紙の搬送方向の
変化が緩やかになる方向に上記内側ガイドが揺動
するようにしたこと、 を特徴とする給紙装置。 (2) 上記略Ｕ字状の用紙搬送路の入口部が、用
紙の搬送方向下流側へ向かつてその横断面積が減
少するテーパ状に形成され、上記用紙の搬送方向
の変化が緩やかになる方向に内側ガイドが揺動す
ることによつて、上記用紙搬送路の入口部の横断
面積が減少するようにした請求項１記載の給紙装
