Conventional exhaust pipes, especially exhaust pipe joints for engine exhaust used in automobiles, usually consist of one set of joints,
In addition, although relatively fixed pipe joints are used, it is difficult to absorb vertical movement, lateral movement, or vibration in the axial direction of the exhaust pipe that occurs when the engine is running or when the vehicle is running. As a result, vibrations are transmitted to the vehicle body and other parts, resulting in problems.

Fig. 1 shows an annular seal 1, which is constructed by holding a heat-resistant material with a reinforcing material, and is formed in an annular shape, and its outer diameter surface is a part of a hemispherical surface. Thus, a spherical outer peripheral surface 2 is formed, and the end surface on the larger diameter side forms an end flat surface 3, and reference numeral 4 is an inner hole. In addition, the heat-resistant material is any one of expanded graphite, asbestos, or mica,
Or, the reinforcing material is made of steel such as stainless steel, steel alloy, copper alloy, etc., and nickel silver, or the inner layer is made of stainless steel and the outer layer is made of nickel silver. It consists of wire meshes assembled as shown in the figure.

What is shown in FIG. 2 is an embodiment of the present invention, in which reference numeral 1 denotes the above-mentioned annular seal, 11 denotes one pipe constituting the spherical joint 10, and the one pipe 11 has its pipe end. A flange portion 11a that is fitted into the inner hole 4 of the annular seal 1 and abuts the end flat surface 3 of the annular seal 1 near the pipe end is formed by deforming this one pipe 11 itself. Reference numeral 12 denotes the other pipe, which is fitted opposite to the one pipe 11 in the axial direction, and the part that contacts the annular seal 1 is connected to the annular seal 1.
A flared part 12b having a morning glory-shaped concave part 12a formed inside so as to be in sliding contact with the spherical outer circumferential surface 2 of
have. The flared portion 12b is extended to have a small hole near its open end, and a spring receiver 13 having a claw that engages with this small hole is provided at the other end of the pipe 12. A conical coil spring 14 formed in a conical shape is fitted between the spring receiver 13 and a flange portion 11a formed on one of the pipes 11 with a predetermined pressing force applied thereto. In this way, the spring receiver 13 and the conical coil spring 14, which are engaged with the other pipe, constitute the engagement means 15 for the one and the other pipes.

In the present invention, two sets of the spherical joints 10 configured as described above are provided, and the other pipe 12 having the flared portion 12b of each set is integrally attached to both ends of the intermediate pipe 16 curved at a substantially right angle. are combined to form a curved exhaust pipe joint.

In the above embodiment, the pipes 12 each having a flared portion of the two sets of spherical joints 10 are
Although the comrades are connected by the intermediate pipe 16, the combination is not necessarily limited to this, and the comrades of the pipes 11 that do not have a flared portion may be connected to each other by the intermediate pipe 16, or the pipes 12 that have a flared portion and It is also possible to connect a pipe 11 that does not have one. Moreover, the intermediate pipe 16 may also be an intermediate pipe in which a straight pipe part is provided on at least one side of the curved pipe part of the intermediate pipe 16 so as to be continuous with the curved pipe part.

Since the bent pipe type exhaust pipe joint of the present invention is constructed as described above, the one in which two sets of pipe joints are installed in a straight pipe as shown in Fig. In contrast, as shown in Figure 4 A or B of the attached drawings, the present invention not only changes the angle, that is, swings, but also changes the upstream exhaust pipe A and the downstream exhaust pipe. The axial displacement of the side exhaust pipe B can be large, and therefore the displacement in all directions perpendicular to the exhaust pipe and in the axial direction,
In other words, it can sufficiently absorb vibration and expansion/contraction, and also has the same sound insulation effect as a loose pipe in terms of blocking engine vibration noise (muffled sound). As a result, it is particularly effective for large trucks, which have strict noise regulations, and luxury passenger cars of 1800c.c. or higher, which have high requirements for ride comfort, for example.

In addition, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, since each joint is connected around the entire circumference by the conical coil spring 14 and has no directionality, when connecting two sets of spherical joints via an intermediate pipe, There is no need to give special consideration to the orientation of the combination, and this has the effect of making the combination work more efficient.

As described above, the ability of the present invention to absorb vibration and expansion/contraction is extremely high compared to conventional pipe joints, but at the same time, conventional pipe joints could only handle vibrations with a frequency of about 10 to 1 hertz. In contrast, the present invention also has the effect of being able to effectively deal with vibrations having a relatively high frequency of 10 2 to 10 3 hertz.

更に、本考案によれば、フレアー部を有する上

Further, according to the present invention, the other pipe having the flared portion is fixed to the intermediate pipe by welding,
Furthermore, since the pipe portion and flange portion that are in contact with the inner hole and the flat end surface of the annular seal are also fixed, there is also the effect that there is no fear of leakage of exhaust gas or falling off of the pipe.

In addition, in the above embodiment, as shown in FIG. 5A of the attached drawings, the valve is bent almost perpendicularly to the flow direction on the upstream side at the joint part 40 and then exhausted as it is, but as shown in FIG. As shown, after passing through the joint part, the exhaust pipe may be provided with a curved part 41 to exhaust in the same direction as the exhaust pipe before the joint part 40, and further,
As shown in FIG. 5C, after passing through the upstream joint of the joint portion 40, the intermediate pipe may be tilted with respect to the horizontal plane, and the downstream pipe may be placed, for example, below.
