Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title tacky tape or sheet showing excellent preventing effects on molds, microorganisms and insects of ordinary perishable foods such as vegetables or fruits, by adding a specific amount hinokitiol, etc., to a pressure-sensitive tacky agent. CONSTITUTION:>=0.5% (solid content) solid hinokitiol which is colored or slight yellow crystal at normal temperature, has 48-52.5 deg.C melting point and becomes liquid at a relatively low temperature or beta-dolabrin which occurs in crude hinokitiol crystal extracted from a white cedar grown in Aomori Prefecture in almost the same amount as that of hinokitiol and shows approximately the same structure and characteristics is directly dissolved in a pressure-sensitive tacky agent or included in a cyclodextrin, etc., dispersed as an inclusion compound and blended with the pressure-sensitive tacky agent to produce the titled tape or sheet by an ordinary production process. The manufacturing cost is inexpensive. Since an adhesion tape is applied to the inner bottom face or inner side face of packaging containers, the packaging containers preferably have poor air permeability.

A specific method of using hinokitiol is, for example, as disclosed in JP-A-60-108359, by bringing a packaging material containing hinokitiol and their clathrates into contact with food, or by covering or clasping the food with the packaging material. Methods for preserving such foods have been proposed. JP-A No. 60-108359 describes that packaging materials containing hinokitiol and their clathrates can be made by spraying or impregnating a solution or dispersion onto a substrate and then drying.

(Problems with the prior art) As described above, although hinokitiol is a substance that is harmless to humans and livestock and is effective in preventing fungi, bacteria, and insects,
The packaging material of No. 108359 is a mere sheet, so it is not easy to use, and in reality, it has no choice but to be used as a special sheet for preventing mold, bacteria, and insects, so there are problems such as how difficult it is to use depending on the food. Ta.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present inventors have focused on solving these problems by mixing hinokitiol or (and) β-drabulin into a pressure-sensitive adhesive to form an adhesive tape or sheet. However, the present invention was completed as a result of research into how and in what amount hinokitiol or (and) β-dorabrin should be added.

Hinokitiol is a colorless to pale yellow crystal at room temperature and a solid with a melting point of 48 to 52.5 degrees Celsius, which becomes liquid at a relatively low temperature. β-Dorabulin is present in approximately the same amount as hinokitiol in the crude hinokitiol crystals extracted from Aomori Hiba, and is a solid that exhibits approximately the same structure and physical properties as hinokitiol. Both hinokitiol and β-drabulin have the so-called sublimation property of directly turning into gas without passing through a liquid state even at room temperature, so they can be retained in packaging materials as described above rather than being directly mixed into or in contact with food. It is clear that this effect can be achieved by covering or wrapping it. However, this is hinokitiol or β
- This is because drablin is in a state where it is easy to sublimate, that is, it is in contact with air, and if it is confined in another same phase, it will be inactive unless it is a substance that moves to the surface layer in the solid phase. It is possible.

The present inventor discovered that hinokitiol and/or β-drabulin migrate to the surface layer by diffusion in pressure-sensitive adhesives, and created an adhesive tape or sheet that is convenient to use.

According to the research conducted by the present inventor, it was found that if the content (solid content) of hinokitiol or (and) β-drabulin in the pressure-sensitive adhesive is not 0.5% or more, no obvious effect is exhibited. ing. In addition, there is a clear correlation between the content of hinokitiol or (and) β-drabulin in pressure-sensitive adhesives and the antifungal, antibacterial, and insecticidal effects of adhesive tapes or sheets. hinokitiol or (

The method of addition is determined by the fact that hinokitiol is easily soluble in organic solvents but difficult to dissolve in water, and the clathrate is difficult to dissolve in organic solvents, but is easily soluble in water and is resistant to heat. . The table shows the superiority of each method when the amount of hinokitiol added is constant. In addition, ○ in the adhesive type section of the table means that it is good, △ means that it is somewhat difficult to mix, × means that it is difficult to use, and ○ in the sections below quick-acting means that it is good. , Δ means not so good, and × means poor.
