Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent any sand or dust from invading into the title equipment by a method wherein an elastic spongy shell is provided upon overall surface of the equipment while a part of this spongy shell is used as a part of switch operating device. CONSTITUTION:A printed wiring substrate 2 with a touch switch 1 fixed thereto is fixed to the chassis surface 3 by fixing the movable part of the switch 1 in a boss 3b integrated with the chassis surface 3 using a screw 4 and then a spongy shell surface 5 is sticked on the chassis surface 3. On the other hand, a speaker 6 is mounted on the inner side of the chassis rear side 7 with sound hole 7a while the spongy shell rear side 8 is sticked on the chassis surface 3 with the other sound hole 8a of the rear side 8 aligned with the sound hole 7a of the chassis rear side 7. The joints of the shell surface 5 and the shell rear side 8 are fixed to each other by a dressed belt 10. In the acoustic equipment thus constituted, the switch 1 is operated by pressing down a part of the shell surface 5 i.e. a button 5a.
