反射光として受光することを可能とした受光素子
とを備えた光学検出系を本体部に有し、この本体
部に対し非接触方式と接触方式との切換えを可能
とすべく着脱可能に組み合わされるアダプタには
、前記被測回転体の回転中心部に接離自在に当接
される回転検出軸と、この回転検出軸の回転速度
に従つて回転可能とし、かつ、透光部と非透光部
とを有する光透過用回転板と、この光透過用回転
板の一側方向から他側方向に位置する本体部の前
記受光部に対して光の照射を可能とした第2発光
素子を配設し、この第2発光素子と前記第1発光
素子とは、本体部に対しアダプタを装着した際に
は第2発光素子を、本体部からアダプタを離脱さ
せた際には第1発光素子をそれぞれ点灯可能とす
べく、点灯回路の切換回路を配設したことを特徴
