Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress temperature raising of a base surface in rear of a base by internally providing an electric pump for feeding water in tank into an evaporating room and controlling the electric pump by a controller operating corresponding to output of a temperature detecting element. CONSTITUTION: Since water discharged to the evaporating room 11 takes heat from the base 9 in evaporating, a base temperature surrounding the room 11 is lowered. A temperature detecting element for controlling a base surface temperature 15 detects this and the controller 14 energizes a heater 10 to heat the base. Since the room 11 is cooled at the time of repeatedly generating steam at this time, a time of energizing the heater 10 is prolonged and the temperature of a base rear part away from the room 11 becomes very high. At the time of mounting to a temperature like this, a temperature detecting element 16 fixed to the base rear part detects this to reduce the discharging amount of the electric pump 13 or to stop discharging of water by the operation of the controller 14. Since heat of evaporation in the room 11 is reduced by this, an energizing rate of the heater 10 is lowered and heating from this heater 10 to the base rear part is also weakened to lower the temperature of the parts.

The operation of the steam iron constructed as described above will be described. Water in the tank 4 enters the vaporizing chamber 3 through the drip nozzle/I15 and generates steam. At this time, the temperature detection element 6 is installed near the vaporization chamber 3 and the heater 2, and quickly detects the base temperature accompanying the generation of steam, and the control device 7 appropriately inputs the input to the heater 2. 1 is controlled to be constant, and an input sufficient to generate steam is input so that unvaporized water does not come out from the steam outlet 8.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in the above configuration, while water is dripping from the tank to the vaporization chamber to generate steam, the base is heated by a temperature sensing element installed near the vaporization chamber. Therefore, the time the heater was energized was very long, and the temperature at the rear of the base, which was far away from the vaporization chamber, was very high. This is because the rear of the base is located far away from the vaporization chamber, so there is less cooling due to the heat of vaporization that occurs when steam is generated, and the energization rate of the heater is high, so the rear of the base continues to be heated by the heater. . Therefore, when ironing, heat is applied at a temperature higher than the temperature suitable for the fibers of the cloth, causing damage to the cloth.

Means to Solve the Problem In order to achieve this object, the steam iron of the present invention is equipped with a temperature sensing element at the rear of the base, which is away from the vaporization chamber, and an electric pump that feeds water from the tank into the vaporization chamber. This electric pump is controlled by a control device that responds to the output of the temperature sensing element.

Function: With this configuration, when the temperature at the rear of the base increases due to steam generation, the control device is operated in response to the temperature detection element that detects the temperature of that area, and the discharge amount of the electric pump is changed. Therefore, for example, it is possible to lower the energization rate of the heater to suppress heating from the heater, thereby lowering the temperature at the rear of the base.

First, in order to generate steam, the electric bonder 13 is operated by the control device 14, and the water in the tank 12 is absorbed through the water suction tube 17, and then sent to the vaporization chamber 11 through the discharge tube 18 and the discharge nozzle/L/19. When the water discharged into the chamber 11 is vaporized, heat is taken away from the base 9, so the base temperature around the vaporization chamber 11 decreases. The temperature sensing element 15 for base surface temperature control detects this, and the controller 14 controls the heater 1.
When steam is repeatedly generated here, the vaporizing chamber 11 is cooled, so the time that the heater 1o is energized is longer9. The temperature at the rear can be very high and even unfavorable for the fibers. Therefore, when such a temperature is reached, this is detected by the temperature detection element 16 attached to the rear of the base, and the control device 14 reduces the discharge amount of the electric pump 13 or stops the discharge of water. As a result, the heat of vaporization in the vaporization chamber 11 is reduced, and the energization rate to the heater 1o is also reduced.
The heating to the rear of the base also weakens, and the temperature of the same parts decreases.

As described above, according to this embodiment, a temperature detection element is used at the rear of the base, which is separated from the vaporization chamber, and this is detected to control the amount of water supplied to the vaporization chamber by the electric pump. This suppresses the temperature rise at the rear of the base,
Ironing can be done without damaging the fabric.

Effects of the Invention As described above, the present invention includes a temperature detection element attached to the rear of the barrel 7 located at the rear of the vaporization chamber, and a control device that controls the entire discharge amount of the electric pump using this detection element. Even if the temperature at the rear of the base rises when steam is generated for a long time, such as by replenishing water into the tank, this can be suppressed. Therefore, the cloth will not be damaged during ironing, and by changing the settings of the temperature sensing element, the temperature at the rear of the base can be adjusted to a temperature suitable for each fiber. In addition, by suppressing the temperature rise at the rear of the base, it is possible to prevent the temperature fuse from malfunctioning, which tends to occur when steam is generated for a long time when the temperature fuse is attached to the rear of the base.
