Abstract

PURPOSE:To fully straighten a wire rod high in hardness, tensile strength to give enough linearity by passing the wire rod through a bent teflon tube and revolving the teflon tube in the direction normal to the advancing direction of the wire rod. CONSTITUTION:A brush wire rod 7 is inserted into a teflon tube 5 projecting from a tubular supporting axis 2 on the front end surface of a jig body 1. The wire rod is passed through the internal part of the bent teflon tube 5 and the front end is lead out of the teflon tube 5 projecting from the tubular supporting axis 3. Then, the tubular supporting axes 2, 3 are gripped by collector chucks 8, and the front end of the wire rod is drawn to be taken up round a reel as a straightening jig 6 is rotated. Accordingly, bend of the wire rod 7 is ironed by bent parts of the teflon tube 5 to be dissolved and twist of the wire rod is dissolved by the revolution of the teflon tube 5 to obtain a brush wire rod 7 having sufficient linearity.

(Function) As described above, in the method for straightening a wire rod according to the present invention, the wire rod is passed through a bent Teflon tube and the Teflon tube is rotated in a direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the wire rod. The twisting of the wire is eliminated by squeezing it at the bent part of the tube, and the twisting of the wire is eliminated by rotating the Teflon tube, resulting in a wire with sufficient straightness. Moreover, since the wire is not damaged even though it is mechanically corrected, no scrap is generated.

Next, a method for straightening a wire using the straightening jig 6 configured as described above will be explained. As shown in FIG.
35wt%-Ag30wt%-Cu 14wt%-Zn
A brush wire 7 with a wire diameter of 0.09 mm made of 1wt% is introduced into the Teflon tube 5 protruding from the tubular support shaft 2 on the front end surface of the jig main body l, and passed through the bent Teflon tube 5 to remove the tip. is led out from the Teflon tube 5 protruding from the tubular support shaft 3. In this state, the tubular support shafts 2.3 at both front and rear ends are gripped by the collect chucks 8, and the straightening jig 6 is rotated at 120 rpm using a rotating device (not shown).
While rotating at +, the tip of the brush wire 7 is pulled and wound onto a reel (not shown), and the bend in the brush wire 7 is squeezed by the bent portion of the Teflon tube 5 and eliminated. Also, the twist of the brush wire 7 is the Teflon tube 5.
The problem was resolved by rotation of , and a brush wire 7 with sufficient straightness of 2/100 was obtained. The brush wire 7 had a hardness of 340 Hv and a tensile strength of 950 g, and had sufficient mechanical properties. Furthermore, this brush wire 7 had no scratches on its surface.
