Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease a lowering of contrast in the picture displayed on the CRT by providing a projection where each one part of the inside and the surface of a radiator for CRT heat radiation is applied with light absorbing treatment. CONSTITUTION:A projection 8 provided at a radiator 2 for CRT heat radiation is so arranged as to cover the CRT1 side face other than the valid image height part of a projection lens 5. Since a face 9 on the CRT1 side of the projection 8 and a part 10 of the inside of the radiator 2 for CRT heat radiation are applied with blacking treatment for absorbing light, the light which entered the face 9 and the face 10 is absorbed without being reflected. Hereby the light emitted from the CRT1 can be reduced for return to a CRT tube face as reflected light, so a lowering of contrast in the picture displayed by the CRT1 can be decreased.

て配置し、このCRTlと投写レンズ5と放熱用ラジェ
ータ2とで形成される空間に冷却液7を注入充填してい
た。

けたことにより、CRTに映出される画像のコントラス
トの低下を少なくすることができる。
