Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a proper and efficient radiation from the foot part to the entire body of a user while the user is sitting on a floor or in a chair by a method wherein a longitudinal and lateral rotary part of a main body of an elongated heater is applied as a side edge part of the main body of the heater in the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:A vertical and lateral changing-over means 15 is comprised of a guide plate 17 having a key-hole type sliding part 17a, a set screw 18 with its head part 18a being a circular plate and its neck part 18b being of an oval section, an oval axial hole 15a arranged at an upper part of a stand base 15 and a nut 16. A main body 13 of a heater can be slid from a central part toward the other end and at a side end part, it can be rotated in a vertical or a lateral direction. With this arrangement, when a user works in a kitchen while standing there, a longitudinal direction of the main body 13 of the heater is set vertical and this is used in its vertical form, thereby a proper radiation distribution can be attained. In case a user is sitting on the floor or sits in a chair, a longitudinal side of the main body 13 of the heater is set to a horizontal direction and used, proper heating areas can be attained from the foot area to the entire body and an efficient heating can be carried out due to the fact that the main body of the heater need not be directed downward.
