Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a multi-layered molded item wherein touch of the skin material is excellent, by carrying out a sufficient predrawing of a skin material in the same molding machine and feeding therein a molten resin while a mold is not completely closed when the multi-layered molded item consisting of the skin material and a core resin is molded. CONSTITUTION:A female mold 3 is lowered and mold-clamping is carried out to a point where a cavity clearance (a) of a male mold 2 and the female mold 3 becomes 5 times or less of the thickness of a skin material 8 while the skin material 8 is pinched. Accompanied with this operation, the skin material 8 drawn in a recessed part of the female mold 3 is sufficiently predrawn while the skin material 8 is elongated. Then, the female mold 3 is elevated up to the point where the cavity clearance between the male mold 2 and the female mold 3 becomes larger than the cavity clearance at the time of molding completion. A molten resin 10 is fed in the male mold 2 between the skin material 8 and the male mold 2. Then, the female mold 3 is lowered and both the female and male molds are clamped to the specified position where the cavity clearance becomes the clearance at the time of molding completion to obtain a multi-layered molded item 12 in which the skin material 8 and a core resin 11 are monolithically molded.

<Prior art> Multilayer molded products made of a skin material and a core resin are economical and lightweight, and can provide molded products with good formability and excellent surface properties such as decorativeness and soft feel. cars,
As a method for manufacturing these molded products, which are used in large quantities in all fields including home appliances, there is a method for producing molded products that can be freely moved into a female mold or a male mold, as proposed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 59-150740. After the peripheral edge of the skin material is clamped between the skin material fixing frame and the female mold by the skin material fixing frame which is attached to the skin material fixing frame and has a sliding opening through which the male mold slides, the skin material and the female mold are Alternatively, a method has been proposed in which molten resin is supplied between the male mold and the female mold and the male mold are closed to perform molding.

<Problems to be Solved by the Invention> However, although it is possible to produce multilayer molded products without wrinkles or tears in the skin material even in fairly complex molded products using conventional methods, depending on the shape of the molded product, etc. There has been a problem in that when supplying molten resin for the core material, excessive heat and stretching is applied to the skin material, causing damage to the texture and causing tearing. Means for solving the problem by providing a method for producing a multi-layer molded product with excellent texture The present inventors have continued to earnestly study the production of multi-layer molded products with excellent texture. As a result of this lie, when manufacturing a multilayer molded product consisting of a skin material and a core resin, the skin material was sufficiently squeezed and pre-shaped in the same molding machine, and the molten resin was not mixed into the mold before it was closed. The present inventors have discovered that it is possible to obtain a multilayer molded product with an excellent skin texture by supplying the above material, and have completed the present invention. That is, the present invention is a method for manufacturing a multilayer molded product (12) consisting of a skin material (11) and a core resin (11), which comprises the following steps: First step (b) of sandwiching the skin material (8) between the attached skin material fixing frame (4) and the female mold (8) Cavity clearance of the male mold (2) and female mold (8) Male mold (2) until the thickness is less than 5 times the thickness of the skin material.
and/or a second step (c) of moving the female mold (8) and preforming the skin material (8). In the third step of moving the male mold (2) and/or female mold (8) until the cavity clearance is larger than the completed cavity clearance) The core material molten resin (1
Fourth step (e) of supplying 0) Male mold (2) and female mold (8)
In the fifth step, the mold is closed and molded until a predetermined cavity clearance is achieved. In this specification, the outermost side facing when the mold is closed in 9) is referred to as the male mold. The inner box is 4

In the present invention, the supply of the molten resin (10) is not limited to the above-mentioned timing; after the skin material (8) has been narrowed and preformed, the female mold (8) is raised to fill the female and male mold cavities. It is sufficient that the clearance is greater than the cavity clearance upon completion of shaping, and within this range, the process may be carried out while the female mold (8) is being raised, or may be carried out by stopping at -. Furthermore, in the present invention, in which the supply may be carried out once at a specific position and after the descent starts again, a vacuum suction mechanism is provided in the mold on the side that the skin material (8) comes into contact with when the molding is completed. The molding may be performed by vacuum suction at an appropriate timing in the molding process.

<Effects of the Invention> In the present invention, while controlling the sliding resistance of the skin material by holding the peripheral edge of the skin material with an appropriate force, the cavity clearance of the male and four-sided molds is 5 times or less the thickness of the skin material. The male and/or female molds are moved until the skin material is sufficiently squeezed and preformed, and then the cavity clearance of both molds is expanded to a state larger than the cavity clearance at the time of completion of molding. By supplying the molten resin of the core material between the skin material and the male or female mold with an umbrella ÷ on the skin material, excessive heat and stretching are not applied to the skin material when supplying the molten resin. , deterioration of texture, tearing, etc. can be suppressed.

[Scope of Claims] A method for manufacturing a multilayer molded product (12) comprising a skin material (8) and a core resin (11), which comprises the following steps. (a) First step of sandwiching the skin material (8) between the skin material fixing frame (4) movably attached to the male or female mold and the female mold (3) (b) Male mold (2) ) and the female mold (3) by moving the male mold (2) and/or the female mold (3) until the cavity clearance of the female mold (3) is less than 5 times the thickness of the skin material to preform the skin material (8). Second step (c): Adjust the cavity clearance of the male mold (2) and female mold (3) until the cavity clearance of the male mold (2) and the female mold (3) becomes larger than the cavity clearance at the end of the second step and the completion of shaping. 3) The third step of moving the core material (d) The fourth step of supplying the core material molten resin (10) between the skin material (8) and the male mold (2) or the female mold (3) (e) The male mold The fifth step is to perform molding by closing the mold (2) and female mold (3) until a predetermined cavity clearance is achieved.
