Abstract

PURPOSE: To heighten the designing effect and to enable mass production, by slicing a foam body having numerous bubbles to form a platy body having numerous perforated apertures and a thickness smaller than the sizes of the bubbles. CONSTITUTION: A foam body 2 having numerous bubbles 1 is sliced to form a platy body 4 having numerous perforated apertures 3 and a thickness smaller than the diameters of the bubbles. An aluminum foam is used as the foam body 2, and the diameters of the bubbles 1 are approximately 2-7 mm. The thickness of the platy body is approximately 3-5 mm. The less the thickness of the sliced platy body 4 is, the more an aperture ratio representing the ratio of the area of the apertures 3 to the whole area of the platy body 4 can be. Therefore, the aperture ratio can be easily controlled by the slicing thickness. Thus, the designs full of variety can be obtained, also they can be easily mass- produced because of the slicing.

The present invention was invented in view of the above-mentioned background art, and its purpose is to provide a lighting device that has a large number of randomly shaped openings, provides a variety of novel designs, and is relatively easy to manufacture. We are here to provide you with cover. [Disclosure of the Invention] The present invention will be explained below based on the drawings.

The lighting cover shown in FIG. 2 is an embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in the figure, a foam 2 having a large number of cells 1 is sliced into pieces with a thickness smaller than the diameter of each cell, and a plate-like member 4 having a large number of openings 3 penetrating the front and back is formed. Foamed aluminum is used as the foam 2, and the diameter of each cell is preferably about 2 to 7 mm.

If the area ratio of the openings 3 to the total area of the plate-like body 4 is defined as the aperture ratio, the aperture ratio can be increased as the thickness dimension of the plate-like body 4 to be sliced is made smaller. , the aperture ratio can be easily controlled by the slice thickness dimension. If the plate-like body 4 is thin and its strength is a concern, a transparent panel 5 made of acrylic resin or the like may be laminated and integrated with the plate-like body 4, as shown in FIG. , may be reinforced. As shown in FIG. 4, the lighting cover is installed so as to cover the lower opening of the recessed box-shaped lighting device 8 installed in the ceiling 6, and the light from the lighting device 7 is The design effect is enhanced by allowing an appropriate amount of the material to pass through. In addition, as the foam in the present invention, in addition to foamed aluminum, foams of other metals, plastics, etc. may be used.

As described above, the lighting cover of the present invention is obtained by slicing a foam having a large number of bubbles into pieces with a thickness smaller than the diameter of the bubbles, and forming a plate-like body having a large number of openings penetrating the front and back sides. Therefore, it has a large number of randomly shaped apertures, and with the addition of the diffused reflection effect of each irregularly shaped aperture, it is possible to obtain a variety of new designs, and it is relatively easy to manufacture as it can be obtained by slicing. This makes it easy to handle mass production.
