Conventional configurations and their problems Traditionally, marker lights used to identify road widths, etc. have used incandescent light bulbs as the light source, covered with colored covers, or have colored incandescent lamps as the light source. Some are known that are covered with a flat plate cover, or that have a rotating reflector around the incandescent lamp that is the light source, making it appear as if the incandescent lamp is blinking.

However, since the above-mentioned conventional marker lights use an incandescent light bulb or an incandescent lamp as a light source in combination with a flat cover, they have a problem in that the luminance is low and the light emitting surface cannot be enlarged.

Needless to say, they consume a lot of power, and are susceptible to vibrations and shocks, so there is a high possibility of wire breakage or damage. They also have a short lifespan, and it is undesirable to install them in locations that cannot be constantly controlled. There was a problem with the above-mentioned use as a sign light on the road.

On the other hand, it was used as a beacon light for fishing ports.
A light source using a xenon flash discharge tube is known as disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 67094. As is well known, xenon flash discharge tubes have high luminance and low power consumption, making them extremely advantageous as light sources, but their light emission time is extremely short, making it impossible to capture afterglow. It is conceivable that a problem may arise in which the distance and direction to the beacon light cannot be accurately determined at sea where it does not exist.

For this reason, in the above-mentioned publication, a luminescent paint is applied to the lamp cover of the xenon discharge tube or the circumferential surface of the transparent globe forming the outer tube.
Alternatively, the present invention is characterized in that by mixing a luminescent substance, the above-mentioned lamp cover etc. can be made to emit light even after the xenon discharge tube has finished emitting light.

In other words, luminescent paints and luminescent substances are generally susceptible to deterioration when exposed to outside air or irradiated with sunlight, in other words, they have a short lifespan, so they cannot be used as lamp covers or transparent globes for marker lights such as those mentioned above. had to be replaced within a very short period of time, for example every year.

For this reason, the cost of the above-mentioned replacement parts is high because it involves replacing the lamp cover and transparent globe, which also fulfill their original purpose of diffusing and protecting light, and the replacement work is also troublesome. Needless to say, the cost of managing marker lights is not necessarily low, and the current situation is that they are not practical and improvements are strongly desired.

As is clear from the figure, the light emitting device 3 can be broadly divided into a main body 4, a flash discharge tube 5 which is a light source, a well-known booster circuit housed in the main body 4 and used to cause the flash discharge tube 5 to emit light, and a trigger. It can be divided into an electric circuit section 6 consisting of a circuit, a main capacitor, etc., and a diffusion cover 7 that covers the flash discharge tube 5. Needless to say, 8 is a power supply terminal, a so-called base, for supplying electrical energy to the light emitting device 3, and 9 supplies electrical energy supplied from the outside through a power supply line 10 to the base 8. It shows the socket part.

Furthermore, reference numeral 11 denotes an intermediate member which is provided by coating or mixing a fluorescent substance made of a combination of fluorescent substance, pigment, and phosphor onto a transparent member having elasticity, such as a vinyl chloride plate, and is rolled into a cylindrical shape as shown in the figure. It is arranged at a position along the inner peripheral surface of the cover 1.

Note that, as is clear from the drawings, the connecting member in this embodiment also functions as a so-called mounting structure that restricts the aforementioned intermediate member 11 to a predetermined position along the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical cover 1. .

In addition, since the intermediate member 11 has a sheet-like transparent member having elasticity as a base as described above,
Needless to say, it is extremely easy to store, and when it is installed, by rolling it up and fixing the opposite ends, it is possible to perform the installation operation extremely easily.

When the flash discharge tube 5 is supplied with a trigger voltage automatically by an arbitrarily formed trigger means or by supplying a predetermined signal in a state where the electric circuit unit 6 has completed the light emission preparation operation, a flash is generated. The discharge tube 5 will emit light. When the flash discharge tube 5 emits light, the light is first diffused with predetermined characteristics by the diffusion cover 7 and emitted into the cylindrical cover 1.

As this light travels inside the cylindrical cover 1, it also reaches the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical cover 1 via the intermediate member 11 located on the inner circumferential surface, and is emitted to the outside via this cylindrical cover 1. .

In the embodiment shown in the figure, the upper end of the cylindrical cover 1 in the drawing is simply covered with a flat member, but for example, the cylindrical cover may be made extremely long or the brightness may be increased. Needless to say, in order to cope with such cases, the reflective member may be replaced with a flat or curved reflecting member, or another light emitting device may be constructed.

Further, in the illustrated embodiment, power is supplied to the light emitting device 3 from the outside via the power supply line 10, but it goes without saying that the power source may be built into the light emitting unit 2. Nor.

On the other hand, regarding the management of marker lights due to deterioration of luminescent materials, etc., in the marker light according to the present invention, it is possible to simply replace the intermediate member 11 without replacing special parts such as the cover as in conventional devices.
