Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent fire from starting due to malfunction of a system, by providing a first breaking means for cutting off the supply of electric power when the temperature in a sauna room exceeds a preset value, an alarm means for giving an alarm when the first breaking means is activated and a second breaking means which is activated at a temperature different from the preset value. CONSTITUTION:An electric stove for a sauna has two electric heaters H1 and H2 with which the temperature in a sauna room 6 is rapidly raised. A thermostat THM and a thermal fuse TF are provided in the room 6. The thermostat THM works, when the temperature in the room 6 exceeds a preset value, e.g., 150 deg.C, to cut off the supply of electric power to the electric heaters H1 and H2 and to activate an alarm buzzer BZ. The thermal fuse TF blows, when the temperature in the room 6 rises over another preset value which is higher than the preset value for the thermostat THM, e.g., 170 deg.C, to cut off the supply of electric power to the electric heaters H1 and H2. The electric system for a sauna constructed as above has double safety devices which work at two different temperatures, thus keeping fire from starting.

The sauna is equipped with a temperature sensor and a control circuit in the bathing room, and when the indoor temperature reaches a set temperature or higher, the power supply to the electric heater is stopped, and when the temperature does not reach the set temperature, the electric heater is turned off. It can be controlled by supplying power to the heater to heat the room. but,
The temperature sensor may sometimes become inoperable due to a malfunction. In this case, even if the temperature in the room exceeds the set temperature, power continues to be supplied to the electric heater, resulting in an abnormally high temperature in the room, which may lead to a fire.

If there is a means for cutting off the power supply to the electric heater when the temperature in the bathing room exceeds the set temperature, and a means for issuing an alarm at the same time as the cutoff, it is possible to prevent the temperature sensor from malfunctioning even if it does not operate. This will not only stop the electric heater from working, but also alert people nearby that something is wrong. Double safety can be achieved if the means for cutting off the power supply consists of two means operating at different temperatures.

The electric stove 9 includes two electric heaters H1 and H2, and is provided with an operation control section 5 outside the bathing room that controls the operation of both the electric heaters H1 and H2. The control unit 5 includes a printed circuit board P that includes a temperature indicator 4 that displays the temperature in the bathing room 6 and a relay RYI (not shown). Relay RYI shorts terminals 1 and 3 when the bathing room interior 6 is heated above the set temperature, and shorts between terminals 1 and 2 when the temperature is lower than the set temperature.
In Figure 0, the sauna is not in use and the temperature inside the bathing room 6 is at a temperature lower than the set temperature. Therefore, terminal 1 and terminal 2 are short-circuited. When a timer set knob (not shown) is set to close the timer contact Ta and the power switch SWI is closed, current flows through the timer coil T and relay coil RY3. When a certain period of time elapses after current flows through the timer coil T, the contact Ta automatically opens. In other words, the power source is opened, thus preventing forgetting to turn off the sauna.

When current flows through relay coil RY3, contact RY3a closes, and current flows through coil MC1 and coil MC2. This closes contacts MC1a and MC2a, and power is supplied to electric heaters H1 and H2. That is, the inside of the bathroom 6 is heated by the two electric heaters H1 and H2, so the temperature of the inside of the bathroom 6 is quickly raised.

When the temperature inside the bathroom 6 rises to the set temperature, the temperature sensor TH installed in the bathroom 6 senses this and sends the signal to the printed circuit board P. Due to this,
The short-circuit between terminals 1 and 2 of relay RYI (not shown) is opened, and the terminals 1 and 3 are short-circuited. From this, the flow of current to coils MCI and MC2 is stopped, and contact MC1a.

Since either terminal 2 or terminal 1 and terminal 3 are short-circuited, current always flows through relay coil RY2 when contact RY2a is once closed as described above. Therefore, the state in which the contact RY2a is closed and the contact RY2b is open is maintained. During that time, when the temperature inside the bathroom 6 becomes lower than the set temperature, the terminal 1 of the relay RYI is short-circuited with the terminal 2, and current flows through the coil MCI, so the contact MC1a closes and the electric heater H

Then, the inside of the bathroom 6 is heated to the set temperature only by the electric heater H1. When the temperature inside the bathroom 6 reaches the set temperature, as described above, the terminal 1 of the relay RY1 is short-circuited with the terminal 3, and the flow of current in the coil MC1 is stopped. Therefore, the contact MC1a opens and the operation of the electric heater H1 is stopped. Thereafter, the electric heater H1 is repeatedly activated and deactivated depending on the temperature in the bathroom 6. In addition, inside the bathing room 6
The light is turned on by closing the light switch SW2.

As described above, the sauna according to the present invention includes means for cutting off the power supply to the electric heater when the temperature in the bathing room exceeds a set temperature, and means for issuing an alarm at the same time as the cutoff. Therefore, even if the temperature sensor fails and does not operate, the electric heater will not only stop operating, but also notify people nearby that there is an abnormality. If, as in the embodiment described above, the means for cutting off the power supply consist of two means operating at different temperatures, for example a thermostat and a temperature fuse, double safety is achieved.
