Abstract

PURPOSE:To contemplate facilitated lever actuation for up and down adjustment of wick in fuel oil combustion apparatus, by removing, upon ignition operation, a pressure resistance applied by a pressure member which prevents falling of wick due to the tare. CONSTITUTION:A lever unit comprises a centrally bored bearing 12, fire ceasing plate 13 fixedly attached on the bearing 12, a pressure member 14 compressed by and behind the plate 13, a lever 15 rotatable around the bearing 12 under appropriate pressure resistance applied by the pressure member 14 for an up and down movement of wick, and an ignition lever 16 which is freely rotatable around the bearing 12. The lever unit is supported by a base member 17 which comprises a shock-proof automatic fire ceasing mechanism and a shaft on which the bearing 12 is rotatably mounted. Upon depressing the ignition lever 16, the lever unit 11 rotates, together with the bearing, around the shaft 21 of the base member 17 without influence of the pressure member 14, to thereby accomplish facilitated actuation thereof.
