る吸水口５を、汚水処理槽内の水面下において汚
泥界面ｌ′よりも上方に開口させ、該吸水口５の
下方にはポンプ吸込口２と連通する通水室３を繞
設してその内部には、昇降作動により吸水口５の
下縁と離接し得るフロート弁６が、ポンプ吸込口
２を閉塞せしめない態様で収容せられ、ポンプ運
転時にはその吸引力によりフロート弁６が浮力に
抗しつつ吸水口５の下縁から離隔して、吸水口５
からポンプ吸込口２に至る通水路３′を開通せし
め、ポンプ停止時にはフロート弁６がその浮力に
より浮上して吸水口５の下縁に当接することによ
り、上記通水路３′を閉止せしめるよう構成した
