Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a method of heating a rudder or resin coated roll where uniform and steady heating can be performed and life of use can be prolonged, by heating the rudder or resin coated roll by making use of a separate heating roll coming into contact with the same. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a heating roll 12 is fitted with a dielectric heating unit and heats the surface of a rubber or resin layer by coming into contact with a roll 10. Rubber or resin such as silicone or acryl displaying nonadhesion at a temperature higher than that of hard chromium processing or ceramic processing is good as the quality of the material of the rubber/resin coating the roll. A matter obtained by performing hard chromium processing or ceramic processing is good as the quality of the material of the surface of the roll heating a rubber or resin coated roll from a heat resistance point of view. A conventional method such as a device having a heat source such as induction heating/nichrome wire or a heated heating medium for its heat source is good as the heating device. Consequently, a coating material and an adhesive layer between a metal and the coating are not exposed under a temperature higher than a surface temperature to obtain a necessary surface temperature, life of the roll can be prolonged and uniform and stable heating can be performed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a heating square roll used in the manufacturing process of synthetic fiber yarns or films. Heating rolls that are generally used in the manufacturing process of synthetic fiber yarns or films are those that are heated by a heat source such as induction heating or electric heating wires, or those that are heated by a heated heating medium that is supplied to the roll as a heat source. There are some that are configured to be heated.

Taking film manufacturing as an example, in recent years there has been an increasing need to increase production speed in order to improve productivity. that time,
In order to heat the rolls of existing equipment to a specified drawing or heat treatment temperature, it is necessary to heat the rolls to a considerably high temperature. adhesion of the film to the surface, dirt on the roll surface, and meandering of the film.

Therefore, it has been proposed to use non-viscous rubber or resin as a coating material for the roll, which does not cause film adhesion, circle stain, film meandering, or width fluctuation even at such high temperatures. Rubbers or resins such as silicone resins, acrylic resins, chloroprene rubbers, and fluororesins are used as materials for coating the rolls. However, the wall thickness (lower limit) at which workability is guaranteed based on the current rubber coating technology and surface processing technology for rolls is 1a1 or more, and the accuracy of the thickness is low and temperature unevenness on the surface is unavoidable.

When such coated rolls are heated using conventional heating methods, steady and uniform heating is difficult due to the low thermal conductivity of the coated rubber. Moreover, when trying to obtain the required roll surface temperature, the metal surface of the inner layer of the roll is heated. The temperature must be even higher. Therefore, although the roll surface temperature is within the heat resistance range of the coating material, the coating material or the adhesive layer between the metal and coating material must be heated inside the coating material, that is, on the side that contacts the metal surface of the roll. As a result, the heat-resistant temperature may be exceeded, causing deterioration of the coating material and adhesive layer, resulting in a shortened service life of the roll. The present invention solves the above-mentioned problems and provides a method for heating rubber or resin corrugated nozzles that can perform uniform and steady heating and extend the service life.

(Means for Solving the Problems) That is, the present invention is a roll heating method that uses another heating roll in contact with a rubber or resin coated roll as a means for heating the roll. The material of the rubber/resin covering the roll is not particularly limited, but it is better to use a material that exhibits non-adhesion at high temperatures than hard chrome processing or ceramic processing, or a rubber or resin such as silicone, acrylic, chloroprene, or fluororesin. Further, although an internal heating device is not essential, from the viewpoint of stability of heating temperature, it is better to heat the inner layer of the covering rubber or resin to the same temperature as the required surface temperature. On the other hand, the surface material of the roll that heats the rubber or resin coated roll is preferably treated with hard chrome or ceramics in terms of heat resistance. The means for heating these rolls is a conventional method such as induction heating, a heat source such as a heating wire, or a method using a heated heat medium as a heat source.

Example 1 As the roll 10, a metal roll coated with silicone rubber having a thickness of 2 am+ (600 rolls in use) was used, and as the roll 12, a hard chromium-plated roll (600 jw in use) was used. An epoxy adhesive is used to bond the silicone rubber and the metal roll in the roll 10, and the adhesive has a heat resistance temperature of 130°C. In order to make the surface temperature of the roll 10 120°C in such equipment, the inside of the roll 10 is heated to 120°C.
When the roller 12 was brought into contact with the roller 10 with the surface temperature set at 0.degree. C. and the surface temperature of the roller 12 set at 120.degree. C., the surface temperature of the roller 10 was 120.+-.0.3.degree. C. in the circumferential direction of the roller. Moreover, the surface temperature during roll operation was 120±1°C.
