Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the selection of a telephone set receiving an incoming call even when lots of telephone sets are installed at the same location by adopting a constitution such that all or a part of a telephone stand is moved by an incoming signal so as to inform the arrival of a call visually. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid 11 is activated by an incoming signal to pull in a movable lever 14, a rocking lever 10 is rocked and a claw 13 is unlocked from a cover 4. Then the cover 4 is opened automatically by a spring 15 to enable a handset 1a to be taken out. In case of transmission, when a lock release operating button is depressed, the solenoid 11 is operated, the cover 4 is opened to extract the handset 1a. In closing the cover 4 against the force of the spring 15 after the end of use, the claw 13 of the lever 10 is engaged with the cover 4, which is closed.
