信号を受けている受像機で衛星放送信号も受信で
きるようにするには、ブースタからの出力伝送路
の他に、処理回路からの出力伝送路も受像機に接
続しなければならず配線が面倒であつた。またブ
ースタ、コンバータ及び処理回路には、これらを
動作させるために動作電流を供給しなければなら
ないが、1台の受像機で両放送を受信するのであ
るから同時に両放送は受信できず、一般テレビジ
ヨン放送を受信している際にはコンバータ及び処
理回路に動作電流を供給する必要はなく、衛星放
送を受信している際にはブースタに動作電流を供
給する必要はない。それにもかかわらず、ブース
タ、コンバータ及び処理回路には常に動作電流が
供給されており、省エネルギの観点から望ましく
なかつた。
