[4] Method of this embodiment [4.1] Overview Next, the identity verification process in the identity verification process server device 10 of this embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 4 and Fig. 5. Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 are diagrams for explaining the identity verification process in the identity verification process server device 10 including the network service providing system of this embodiment.

The identity verification processing server device 10 is a server device for performing identity verification processing when a user registers for various network services such as opening an account at a bank, SNS, content (games, music, etc.) provision services, or online shopping, or for membership services at a store.

In addition, the identity verification processing server device 10 of this embodiment is configured to be able to prevent fraudulent registration of users, including the opening of new accounts required when enjoying various network services using networks such as the Internet and services at physical stores, by using resident names and the like that are difficult to forge and are incorporated into maps and real estate information that require accuracy.

The identity verification processing server device 10 of this embodiment has such a configuration, so that if the identity between real estate-related information associated with an address, such as a resident name incorporated in a map or detailed information about a property in real estate, and real estate-related information such as the user name of the applicant is not confirmed, approval can be refused on the grounds that the applicant is not the applicant himself/herself, and if the identity is confirmed, user registration can be permitted on the grounds that the applicant is the applicant himself/herself, or information indicating that user registration is possible can be provided.

Note that user registration in this embodiment does not only mean, for example, opening a new account for a network service or membership service, but also simply registering information about the user, such as the user's contact information and name.

The reference real estate-related information may also be stored in the database 140 for a specified period, such as every six months or yearly (which may be a calendar period starting on January 1st, or a fiscal year-based period starting on April 1st).

In other words, the database 140 may store real estate-related information updated at a specified interval, such as each year, together with the real estate-related information before the update in a database format.

Specifically, after a specified period of time has passed, the reference real estate-related information is updated with new information, but the new information is not overwritten on the information before the update, and is instead stored as history in database 140 and organized into a database, as shown in FIG. 6.

[4.3] Acquisition Process Next, the acquisition process for acquiring application information in this embodiment will be described.

For example, the identity verification processing unit 103 uses the application address as a search key to search within map information that includes reference real estate-related information such as resident names, store names, and building names associated with the address on a map, or within list information that includes reference real estate-related information having real estate types and living styles defined in an address book (address list).

Figure 9 shows an example in which application information "Application address (address information): 1-2-5 Rokuban-cho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo" is input, and reference real estate information in database 140 is searched for and address information matching the input address information (user real estate information) is detected.

(Search process based on length of residence)
In order to further improve the accuracy of identity verification, when the identity verification processing unit 103 acquires information on the user's period of residence as application information, it may search a database 140 in which real estate-related information is updated and additionally registered at specified periods, such as each year, to compare the acquired user's period of residence with relevant real estate-related information within the period of residence to determine the identity of the user real estate information and the reference real estate information.

Specifically, as shown in FIG. 10, when performing the determination process, the identity verification processing unit 103 determines the search range in the real estate-related information that is updated every predetermined period, such as every year, and additionally stored in the database 140, based on the residence period indicated by the residence period information obtained from the applicant user.

Then, as shown in FIG. 10, the identity verification processing unit 103 may use the application address as a search key to detect relevant real estate related information from among all reference real estate related information that corresponds to the user's period of residence, from among real estate related information for the period to which the applying user resides, or may detect relevant real estate related information from among a portion of the reference real estate related information that corresponds to the user's period of residence, such as only reference real estate related information that belongs to the oldest period for the user's period of residence.

Note that reference real estate-related information corresponding to the user's period of residence, or reference real estate-related information belonging to the oldest period for that period of residence, includes reference real estate-related information that was first updated after the user began residing, or reference real estate-related information that was updated after that updated reference real estate-related information.

For example, as shown in FIG. 10, if an application is made on November 1, 2020, and the annual reference real estate information is updated and additionally registered on January 1, and the period of residence in the application information of the applying user is "20 years," the identity verification processing unit 103 searches the database 140 for reference real estate-related information updated since the user began living in the property in 2001 or later.

[4.5] Determination Process Next, the details of the determination process for determining the identity between the reference real estate information and the user real estate-related information in this embodiment will be described.

(Basic principles of judgment processing)
When the identity verification processing unit 103 detects reference real estate related information that matches the search key, it performs a determination process to determine the identity of the detected reference real estate related information and the user real estate related information, which is the real estate related information obtained as application information.

In particular, when a real estate name is used as real estate-related information in this manner, if the identity verification processing unit 103 determines that at least a portion of the real estate name is identical to a portion of the user name, it determines that the real estate name is identical to the user name.

Specifically, in this embodiment, in the above-mentioned determination process, if the proper name of the real estate name matches the user name or a part of it (surname portion), excluding the general name (common name) portion such as building, building, heights, apartment, or shop, the identity verification processing unit 103 determines that the real estate name is identical to the user name.

For example, if at least some of the characters or character types of the real estate property name are different from at least some of the characters or character types of the user name but the names are the same, or if at least some of the names of the real estate property name are different from at least some of the names of the user name but the characters are the same, the identity verification processing unit 103 determines that the real estate name is identical to the user name.

For example, if the name of the building on the map is "Tanaka Building" and the user name is "Tanaka Akira," the name "Tanaka" matches in both cases, so the identity verification processing unit 103 determines that there is identity.

(Determination process based on property type)
When the identity verification processing unit 103 uses real estate types such as detached houses, apartment buildings (apartments and condominiums), houses with shops, government housing, public housing, dormitories or boarding houses as real estate-related information, it compares the real estate type included in the application information with the real estate type as real estate-related information associated with the address information that matches the application address, and determines their identity.

For example, if the real estate type on the map is "detached house" and the real estate information in the application information is "detached house," the identity verification processing unit 103 determines that the real estate types are identical.

(Determination process based on living style)
When the identity verification processing unit 103 uses a residential style such as self-name, family name, rental, or company housing as real estate-related information, it compares the residential style included in the application information with the residential style as real estate-related information associated with address information that matches the application address, and determines their identity.

For example, if the property type on the map is "rental" and the property information in the application information is "rental," the identity verification processing unit 103 determines that the resident styles are identical.

(Determination process based on period of residence)
As described above, when the identity verification processing unit 103 searches for real estate related information for the period to which the applicant user resides based on the residence period included in the application information of the applicant user, it compares the reference real estate related information detected by the search key from the reference real estate related information belonging to that period with the user real estate related information such as the property name and determines their identity.

In other words, in this case, the information on the period of residence that has traditionally been used for identity verification can be used as is, reducing the hassle for users and their wariness about providing that information.

For example, if an application is made in November 2020 and the annual reference real estate information is updated and additionally registered on January 1, and the period of residence in the application information of the applying user is "5 years," the identity verification processing unit 103 will compare the relevant reference real estate information from each reference real estate-related information for each year from 2016 to 2020 that has been updated since the user began residing with the user's real estate-related information such as the property name and determine whether they are identical.

For example, if an application is made in November 2020 and the annual reference real estate information is updated and added on January 1, and the period of residence in the application information of the applicant user is "5 years," the identity verification processing unit 103 will compare the relevant reference real estate information from the reference real estate related information updated and added in 2016 with the user real estate related information such as the real estate name, and determine whether they are identical.

(Combination of two or more real estate-related information)
When performing the determination process, the identity verification processing unit 103 may use a combination of two or more of the real estate name, real estate type, and living style to compare the corresponding reference real estate information with the user real estate-related information and determine their identity.

In this case, the identity verification processing unit 103 may further perform a determination process based on the period of residence.

[4.6] Approval Control Processing Next, an explanation will be given of the approval control processing for controlling the execution of a given process when the applicant user in this embodiment is approved as the applicant.

When the above-mentioned determination process determines that the user real estate-related information is identical to the reference real estate-related information, the identity verification processing unit 103 acknowledges that the applicant is the actual user, and issues an instruction to execute an approval control process that notifies the applicant of information related to identity verification and executes various associated processes.

That is, when the user real estate-related information is determined to be identical to the reference real estate-related information by the determination process, the identity verification processing unit 103 verifies that the applying user is the applicant.
