Description

The present invention relates to a plate joining structure, a plate joining method, and a cabinet.

In conventional structures for attaching plate materials such as the top, bottom, and back panels to plate materials such as the side panels used in cabinets, it is common to attach dowels to the joints of the plates and apply adhesive. In this case, the strength that supports the cabinet varies depending on the amount of adhesive applied and the variations in the dimensions of the plate materials. Furthermore, there is a risk that the joints will become loose due to vibrations caused by opening and closing doors attached to furniture or cabinets, or due to excessive loads on the cabinet.

In order to prevent these joints from loosening, reinforcements are sometimes attached between the boards, but these must be joined with screws, and the assembly process takes time due to the screwing process, making it impossible to assemble the cabinet at low cost.

In addition, when assembling the cabinet, adhesive is used, which requires time to cure before the adhesive is completely bonded. This means that more time is required to cure the adhesive, and the cabinet cannot be assembled at low cost. For these reasons, cabinets have been proposed that do not require adhesive when joining the plate materials, and have a joint structure where the joints are less noticeable and do not mar the appearance (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

In Patent Document 1, a first joining hole 202 is provided at the joining portion of the first panel 200. In Patent Document 1, a second joining hole 201 is provided at a position corresponding to the first joining hole 202, and a branch hole for locking 205 is provided at a different surface and communicates with the second joining hole 201. In Patent Document 1, a joining member 203 having an engagement portion at its tip is inserted into the first joining hole 202 and the second joining hole 201 to be interposed in the joining portion of both panels. In Patent Document 1, a locking member 204 that locks the engagement portion of the joining member 203 is further inserted into the branch hole for locking 205 of the second panel 206 to fasten the joining member 203. This discloses a cabinet with a joining structure that does not require adhesive and has an inconspicuous joining portion that does not damage the appearance.

However, in Patent Document 1, in order to fasten the connecting member 203, in addition to the first connecting hole 202 and the second connecting hole 201, it is necessary to provide a locking branch hole 205 for inserting the locking member 204. Therefore, the technology disclosed in Patent Document 1 has the problem that this locking branch hole 205 is visible from the outside of the cabinet and is conspicuous.

In addition, in Patent Document 1, it is necessary to provide a locking member 204 in the locking branch hole 205 in order to fasten the connecting member 203. Therefore, the technology disclosed in Patent Document 1 requires tools and techniques for providing the locking member 204 when assembling the cabinet, which increases the burden on the worker.

The present invention was devised in consideration of the above-mentioned problems, and its purpose is to provide a plate joining structure, plate joining method, and cabinet that do not require adhesives, are low cost, and do not impose a burden on the worker.

A cabinet according to a fourth aspect of the present invention includes the first plate material and the second plate material joined by the plate material joining structure according to any one of the first to third aspects of the present invention.

A fifth aspect of the present invention provides a method for joining plate materials for joining an end face of a second plate material to a main plane of a first plate material, the method comprising the steps of: joining the first plate material having a first joining hole extending in an in-plane direction of the main plane to at least one end face of the plate material and having a first opening opened in the main plane and a first engagement recess inside the first opening; joining the second plate material having a second joining hole extending in an in-plane direction parallel to the length direction of the end face of the main plane to at least one end face of the plate material and having a second opening opened in the main plane and a second engagement recess inside the second opening; and joining a first foot portion and a second foot portion protruding in two directions approximately perpendicular to each other from a joining member main body portion. the first engaging protrusion provided at the tip of the first foot and capable of engaging with the first engaging recess, and the second engaging protrusion provided at the tip of the second foot and capable of engaging with the second engaging recess ; and a stopper that is fitted into the first joining hole or the second joining hole and engages the joining member in the extension direction of the first joining hole or the second joining hole, wherein the first foot and the first engaging protrusion of the joining member are inserted from an end face of the first plate material, and the first engaging protrusion is fitted into the first engaging recess, and the second foot and the second engaging protrusion of the joining member are inserted from the end face of the first plate material, and the second engaging protrusion is fitted into the second engaging recess.

According to the first to fifth inventions, in the plate joining structure, plate joining method, and cabinet of the present invention, the first foot and the first engaging protrusion of the joining member are inserted from the end face of the first plate, and the first engaging protrusion is fitted into the first engaging recess, and the second foot and the second engaging protrusion of the joining member are inserted from the end face of the first plate, and the second engaging protrusion is fitted into the second engaging recess. This allows the joining member to be engaged with the first plate and the second plate, so that no adhesive is required, and the plate can be joined at low cost and without tools or techniques during assembly, without imposing a burden on the worker. In addition, the joining structure of the present invention further includes a stopper that is engaged with the joining hole and that engages the joining member in the extension direction of the joining hole. This allows the joining member to be engaged with the stopper in the extension direction and fixed, so that the plate can be fixed in a predetermined position.

In particular, according to the second invention, in the joining structure of the present invention, the joining member has an abutment surface that abuts at least one main flat surface of the first plate material or the second plate material. This makes it possible to sandwich the first plate material or the second plate material between the first engaging protrusion or the second engaging protrusion of the joining member and the abutment surface when the joining member is fitted to the first plate material or the second plate material, thereby improving the strength of the joining structure.

In particular, according to the plate joining structure of the third invention, the first joining hole and the second joining hole have substantially the same cross-sectional shape and size in the fitting direction of the joining members, and the first foot and the first engaging protrusion and the second foot and the second engaging protrusion of the joining members have substantially the same cross-sectional shape and size in the fitting direction of the joining members. This allows the fitting direction of the joining members to be reversed for the first plate material and the second plate material, making it easy to use, and further allows the first joining hole and the second joining hole to be opened using the same hole opening tool, making it easier to control quality during the manufacturing stage.

In addition, in the joining structure 10, when the end surface 2c of the second plate 2 is joined to the main plane 1a of the first plate 1, the in-plane direction z1 and the in-plane direction z2 may be the same direction. The joint structure 10 may also include a joint member 5 having an abutment surface 53 that abuts against the main plane 1 a or the main plane 2 a. The joint structure 10 may also include a decorative plate 6 that abuts against a joint member main body 50 of the joint member 5 and is provided so as to prevent the joint member main body 50 from being exposed to the outside.

In addition, in the joining structure 10, for example, the first foot 51a and the first engaging protrusion 52a of the joining member 5 are inserted from the end face 1b of the first plate material 1, and the first engaging protrusion 52a is fitted into the first engaging recess 42a, while the second foot 51b and the second engaging protrusion 52b of the joining member 5 are inserted from the end face 2b of the second plate material 2, and the second engaging protrusion 52b is fitted into the second engaging recess 42b.

5, the joining member 5 has a first leg 51a and a second leg 51b protruding in two directions at a right angle from a joining member body 50 having a substantially vertical triangular cross section, a first engaging protrusion 52a provided at the tip of the first leg 51a and wider in the thickness direction c1 than the first leg 51a, and a second engaging protrusion 52b provided at the tip of the second leg 51b and wider in the thickness direction c2 than the second leg 51b. The joining member 5 may be formed to have, for example, an abutting surface 53 formed of a surface perpendicular to the direction in which the first leg 51a or the second leg 51b is extended, and a bottom surface 54 formed of a surface forming a triangle with the abutting surface 53. The joining member 5 may have the first leg 51a and the second leg 51b of the same shape and size, but this is not limited thereto. Furthermore, the joining member 5 may have the first engaging protrusions 52a and the second engaging protrusions 52b of the same shape and size, but is not limited to this.

Although the joining member 5 is made of resin, it is not limited to this and may be made of metal or other materials.

As shown in FIG. 6, the first plate material 1 has a first opening 41a that extends through both end faces of the main plane 1a in the in-plane direction z1 parallel to the length direction of the end face 1c of the main plane 1a and is opened in the main plane 1a, and a first engagement recess 42a is provided inside the first opening 41a. The first joining hole 4a may be formed by penetrating only one end face. In such a case, an end 40 may be provided as shown in FIG. 7(a). The end 40 is provided simply for the function of the hole opening tool for opening the first joining hole 4a, and may not be required.

なお、第1板材1には、無垢材、合板、集成材、MDF(Medium density fiberboard)又はパーチクルボード等の木材が使用されている。 The first plate material 1 is made of wood such as solid wood, plywood, laminated wood, MDF (medium density fiberboard), or particle board. However, it is not limited to this, and the first plate material 1 may be made of metal materials such as steel plate or stainless steel, or resin materials such as acrylic, urethane, and FRP (fiber reinforced plastics).

The second plate material 2 (not shown) has a second joining hole 4b that extends through both end faces in the in-plane direction z2 parallel to the length direction of the end face 2c of the main plane 2a and has a second opening 41b opened in the main plane 2a and a second engagement recess 42b inside the second opening 41b. The second joining hole 4b may be implemented by penetrating only one end face. In such a case, an end 40 may be provided. The end 40 is provided simply for the function of the hole opening tool for opening the first joining hole 4a and may not be required.

なお、第2板材2には、無垢材、合板、集成材、MDF(Medium density fiberboard)又はパーチクルボード等の木材が使用されている。 The second plate material 2 is made of wood such as solid wood, plywood, laminated wood, MDF (medium density fiberboard), or particle board. However, it is not limited to this, and the second plate material 2 may be made of metal materials such as steel plate or stainless steel, or resin materials such as acrylic, urethane, and FRP (fiber reinforced plastics).

Fig. 7(b) is a diagram showing an example of a cross section of the first joining hole 4a of Fig. 7(a) at B. The first joining hole 4a may be provided with a first opening 41a and a first engagement recess 42a that is wider than the first opening 41a in the thickness direction c1 inside the first opening 41a, as shown in Fig. 7(b), for example.

8, the first opening 41a has a width in the thickness direction c1 that is larger than the width of the first foot 51a and smaller than the width of the first engaging protrusion 52a. The first opening 41a is structured such that the first foot 51a can be inserted from the main flat surface 1a and the end surface 1b, but the first engaging protrusion 52a cannot be inserted from the main flat surface 1a. The first opening 41a is structured such that the engaged first foot 51a can be inserted in the in-plane direction z1 .

The first engagement recess 42a is provided inside the first opening 41a, as shown in Fig. 8, for example. The first engagement recess 42a is formed so that the first engagement protrusion 52a can be inserted from the end face 1b. The first engagement recess 42a has a width in the thickness direction c1 , for example, that is larger than the widths of the first foot 51a and the first engagement protrusion 52a. The first engagement recess 42a is structured so that the engaged first engagement protrusion 52a can be inserted in the in-plane direction z1 .

The second joining hole 4b (not shown) is different from the first joining hole 4a in that it is provided in the second plate material 2, not in the first plate material 1. The first joining hole 4a and the second joining hole 4b may have the same shape and size, but are not limited to this. The second joining hole 4b may have, for example, a second opening 41b and a second engagement recess 42b that is wider in the thickness direction c2 than the second opening 41b inside the second opening 41b.

The second opening 41b differs from the first opening 41a in that it is formed in the second joining hole 4b of the second plate material 2. The first opening 41a and the second opening 41b may have the same shape and size, but this is not limited to this. The second engagement recess 42b differs from the first engagement recess 42a in that it is formed in the second joining hole 4b of the second plate material 2. The first engagement recess 42a and the second engagement recess 42b may have the same shape and size, but this is not limited to this.

The stopper 9 is fitted into the end 40 of the first joining hole 4a or the second joining hole 4b. As shown in FIG. 9, the stopper 9 has an end fitting portion 91 and a bottom surface 92. Note that the stopper 9 is made of resin, but is not limited to this, and may be made of, for example, metal or other materials.

The end fitting portion 91 is formed so as to be inserted into the end portion 40 of the first joining hole 4a from the main plane 1a and to fit with the end portion 40, for example, as shown in FIG. 10(a).

The bottom surface 92 is formed so that, when the stopper 9 is fitted into the end portion 40 of the first joining hole 4a, it abuts the joining member 5 in the in-plane direction z1 as shown in FIG. 10(b) and engages the joining member 5.

<Method of joining plates>
Next, a method for joining the above-mentioned plate material joining structure will be described. The joining method is performed by inserting the joining member 5 into the first joining hole 4a and the second joining hole 4b.

First, as shown in FIG. 11(a), the joining member 5 is inserted into the first joining hole 4a of the first plate material 1. In this case, for example, the first foot 51a and the first engaging protrusion 52a of the joining member 5 are inserted into the first joining hole 4a from the end surface 1b of the first plate material 1. For example, the first foot 51a may be inserted into the first opening 41a and the first engaging protrusion 52a may be inserted into the first engaging recess 42a from the end surface 1b of the first plate material 1. Next, the joining member 5 inserted into the first joining hole 4a is pushed in the in-plane direction z1 , so that the first foot 51a and the first engaging protrusion 52a of the joining member 5 are fitted into the first joining hole 4a of the first plate material 1 along the in-plane direction z1.

Next, as shown in FIG. 11B, the joining member 5 is inserted into the second joining hole 4b of the second plate 2. In this case, for example, the second foot 51b and the second engaging protrusion 52b of the joining member 5 are inserted into the second joining hole 4b from the end face 2b to which the second joining hole 4b of the second plate 2 is extended. For example, the second foot 51b may be inserted into the second opening 41b from the end face 8b of the second plate 2, and the second engaging protrusion 52b may be inserted into the second engaging recess 42b. Next, the joining member 5 inserted into the second joining hole 4b is pushed in the in-plane direction z2 , so that the second foot 51b and the second engaging protrusion 52b of the joining member 5 are fitted into the second joining hole 4b of the second plate 2 along the in-plane direction z2 . In this case, for example, the second plate 2 may be joined so that the end face 2c of the second plate 2 abuts against the main plane 1a of the first plate 1, but this is not limited thereto.

As a result, when the joining member 5 is fitted to the first plate material 1 or the second plate material 2, it becomes possible to clamp the first plate material 1 or the second plate material 2 between the first engaging protrusion 52a or the second engaging protrusion 52b of the joining member 5 and the abutment surface 53, thereby improving the strength of the joining structure 10.

By carrying out the joining method described above, the joining of the plate materials is completed. This makes it possible to join the plate materials without the need for adhesives, at low cost, and without placing a burden on the worker.

<How to assemble the cabinet>
A method of assembling the cabinet 100 having the above-mentioned structure will be described. In the assembly procedure described below, the back panel 12, the bottom panel 13, and the front-side opening material 14 are joined to the first side panel 11. Furthermore, the second side panel 15 is joined to the back panel 12, the bottom panel 13, and the front-side opening material 14. However, this assembly procedure is only an example, and the cabinet 100 may be assembled based on any other assembly procedure.

In this assembly procedure, the cabinet 100 is assembled in a back panel joining step S100 in which the end surface 2c of the back panel 12 is joined to the main plane 1a of the first side panel 11 by the joining method described above, as shown in FIG. 12(a), a bottom panel joining step S110 in which the end surface 2c of the bottom panel 13 is joined to the main plane 1a of the first side panel 11 by the joining method described above, as shown in FIG. 12(b), and a bottom panel joining step S111 in which the end surface 2c of the bottom panel 13 is joined to the main plane 1a of the first side panel 11 by the joining method described above, as shown in FIG. 13(a). The assembly is carried out by performing a frontage material joining step S120 in which the end face 2c of the frontage material 14 is joined to the main plane 1a, and a backboard joining step S100, a bottom board joining step S110, and a side board joining step S130 in which the main plane 1a of the second side board 15 is joined to the back board 12, bottom board 13, and end face 2c of the frontage material 14 that were joined to the first side board 11 in the frontage material joining step S120, as shown in FIG. 13(b).

First, in the back plate joining step S100, as shown in FIG. 12(a), the end surface 2c of the back plate 12 is joined to the main plane 1a of the first side plate 11 by the joining method described above. In this case, for example, a stopper 9 may be provided at the end 40 of the joining hole 4. This allows the joining member 5 to be engaged with the stopper 9 in the extension direction z of the joining hole 4 and fixed, so that the plate material can be fixed in a predetermined position.

Next, in the bottom plate joining step S110, as shown in FIG. 12(b), the end surface 2c of the bottom plate 13 is joined to the main plane 1a of the first side plate 11 by the joining method described above.

Next, in the frontage material joining step S120, as shown in FIG. 13(a), the end face 2c of the frontage material 14 is joined to the main plane 1a of the first side panel 11 by the joining method described above. Also, in the frontage material joining step S120, the end face 2c of the frontage material 14 may be joined to the main plane 1a of the bottom panel 13 by the joining method described above. Also, the back panel joining step S100, the bottom panel joining step S110, and the frontage material joining step S120 may be performed in any order.

Next, in the side panel joining step S130, as shown in FIG. 13(b), the main plane 1a of the second side panel 15 is joined to the end faces 1c of the back panel 12, bottom panel 13, and front panel 14 that were joined to the first side panel 11 in the back panel joining step S100, bottom panel joining step S110, and front panel joining step S120, using any joining method.
