Description

The present invention relates to a screen door.

A screen door that is slidably installed may slide unexpectedly due to strong winds, etc. In order to prevent such unexpected sliding (self-propelling) of a screen door, a self-propelling prevention device that is installed on a fitting is known (see, for example, Patent Document 1). This self-propelling prevention device is equipped with a locking device and a receiving device, and the locking device is installed on the inside of the vertical frame that is located on the same side as the door end frame of the outer screen, out of a pair of vertical frames that make up the screen door, and the receiving device is fixed to the outdoor side of the door end frame that makes up the outer screen. Then, with the outer screen open, the screen door is placed in the closed position, and the rotating locking piece installed on the locking device is caused to protrude indoors beyond the vertical frame of the screen door, and the outer screen is closed, thereby engaging the receiving device that is fixed in an exposed state to the door end frame of the outer screen with the locking piece, thereby preventing the screen door from moving on its own.

The above conventional fixtures have a locking device that is attached to the screen door and a receiving device that is attached to the outer screen, so there are many parts and a lot of installation labor, which increases the cost. In addition, the locking piece of the locking device that is housed in the vertical frame of the screen door and rotates to protrude, and the receiving device that is fixed in an exposed state to the end frame of the outer screen are both small parts that are located at predetermined positions in the vertical direction of the fixture, and in order to engage them by moving the outer screen, the locking device and receiving device need to be installed with high precision, and there are also cases where position adjustments are required, making the installation work complicated.

The present invention was made in consideration of these problems, and its purpose is to provide a screen door that is easy to manufacture and install, keeps costs down, and can prevent the screen door from moving on its own.

In order to achieve this purpose, the screen door of the present invention is a screen door that is installed so as to be slidable on the outside of an opening, and is characterized in that when the screen door covers the opening, the vertical frame of the screen door, which is located at the joint with the frame that forms the opening, has a protruding portion that protrudes toward the opening beyond the joint, and has a restricting member that is installed on the protruding portion, protrudes toward the inside of the room, and engages with the frame to restrict the sliding movement of the screen door.
Other features of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description of the present invention and the accompanying drawings.

The present invention makes it possible to provide a screen door that is easy to manufacture, keeps costs down, and prevents the screen from moving on its own.

Below, we will explain a screen door according to one embodiment of the present invention with reference to the drawings.

In this embodiment, as shown in Figures 1 to 3, a screen door 1 is provided on a fitting 10 having an inner screen 11, an outer screen 12, and a fitting frame 13 that supports the inner screen 11 and the outer screen 12 so that they can slide left and right.

In the following explanation, when the fitting 10 and screen door 1 installed in a building are viewed from inside the room, the up and down directions are referred to as the up and down directions, the left and right directions are referred to as the left and right directions, and the depth direction, which is the indoor/outdoor direction, is referred to as the prospective direction. Even when each part of the fitting 10 and screen door 1 is viewed from the inside of the room, or when each component that constitutes the fitting 10 and screen door 1 is viewed individually, the directions are specified and explained in terms of the up and down directions, left and right directions, and prospective directions when the fitting 10 and screen door 1 are installed in a building.

When the screen door 1 is closed, with the door end frame 11a of the inner screen 11 engaging with the right vertical frame 13a of the fitting frame 13 and the door end frame 12a of the outer screen 12 engaging with the left vertical frame 13b of the fitting frame 13, the screen door 1 can be opened to cover the opening 10a (Fig. 3) formed by the fitting frame 13 and the fitting frame 12b of the outer screen 12, which connects the inside and outside of the room, and can also be opened to cover the opening (not shown) formed by the fitting frame 13 and the door end frame 12a of the outer screen 12, which connects the inside and outside of the room. Here, the right vertical frame 13a and the upper and lower horizontal frames 13c of the fitting frame 12 and the fitting frame 12b of the outer screen 12 correspond to the frame that forms the opening 10a.

The screen door 1 has a restricting member 2 that restricts the sliding movement of the screen door 1 to the left when the inner screen 11 is open to cover the opening 10a formed by the fitting frame 13 and the joint frame 12b of the outer screen 12.

As shown in Figure 4, the screen door 1 has a rectangular framed frame 3 made up of left and right vertical frames 30, 31 and horizontal frames 32 connecting the upper and lower ends of the left and right vertical frames 30, 31, and a mesh material 1a stretched inside the frame 3. As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the left and right vertical frames 30, 31 and horizontal frames 32 all have hollow portions 30a, 31a, 32a that run through them in the longitudinal direction, and are extrusion-molded members.

In this embodiment, when the screen door 1 covers the opening 10a formed by the fitting frame 13 and the joint frame 12b of the outer screen 12, the restricting member 2 is provided on the joint frame 12b of the outer screen 12 and the left vertical frame (hereinafter referred to as the left vertical frame) 30 located at the joint part facing the viewing direction. When the screen door 1 covers the opening 10a, the left vertical frame 30 has a protruding part 30b that protrudes to the right side, which is closer to the opening 10a than the joint frame 12b of the outer screen 12.

The restricting members 2 are the protruding portion 30b of the left vertical frame 30, and are provided on the interior wall portion 30c that forms the hollow portion 30a of the left vertical frame 30, above and below the center of the left vertical frame 30. The two restricting members 2 provided at the top and bottom are the same member, and are attached with the top and bottom orientations of the restricting members 2 inverted relative to each other. In the following explanation, the restricting member 2 provided at the top will be used as an example. For this reason, the top and bottom orientation of the lower restricting member 2 will differ from that described below.

The restricting member 2 has a base member 20 that is inserted into an opening (not shown) provided in the interior wall portion 30c of the left vertical frame 30 and is attached by engaging with the wall portion 30c, and a swinging member 25 that is swingably supported on the base member 20.

The base member 20 has a base plate portion 21 that is a vertically long rectangular plate and is arranged opposite the wall portion 30c, and a storage case portion 22 that is connected to a vertically long rectangular base opening 21a provided in the center of the base plate portion 21 to form a storage portion 22a for the oscillating member 25.

The base plate portion 21 has a slope or curved surface in the left-right direction such that the center side where the base opening 21a is located is located slightly inside the room compared to the left and right end sides. In addition, the thickness of the base plate portion 21 is formed thinner than the protruding amount of the airtight material (not shown) provided between the screen door 1 and the joining frame 12b of the outer screen 12.

The storage case portion 22 has upper and lower opposing wall portions 22b that extend from the edge of the base opening 21a to the outside of the room and form a projected surface and face each other in the vertical direction, left and right opposing wall portions 22c that extend from the edge of the base opening 21a to the outside of the room and form a projected surface and face each other in the horizontal direction, and bottom portions 22d and 22e that connect the outside edges of the upper and lower opposing wall portions 22b and the left and right opposing wall portions 22c. The base member 20 has a storage portion 22a inside the upper and lower opposing wall portions 22b, the left and right opposing wall portions 22c, and the bottom portions 22d and 22e that can store the rocking member 25 without the protruding portion 25m described later protruding.

The storage section 22a is formed so that the upper part has a greater (deeper) depth in the projection direction than the lower part, and a step is provided between the upper bottom 22d and the lower bottom 22e.

A bottom opening 22f is provided at the upper end of the lower bottom 22e in the center in the left-right direction, and an arm 22g is provided that protrudes upward and toward the room from the lower edge of the bottom opening 22f, and an engagement portion 22h is provided at the tip of the arm 22g, is formed in an arc shape, and engages with the swinging member 25. When pressed from the base opening 21a side, the engagement portion 22h can be displaced by elastic deformation of the arm 22g.

The opposing upper and lower opposing wall portions 22b each have a wall clamping portion 22i that protrudes toward the opposite side of the storage portion 22a and clamps the wall portion 30c between the base plate portion 21. The opposing left and right opposing wall portions 22c each have support holes 22j that support the swingable member 25 in a swingable manner at positions facing each other on the shallow lower side of the storage portion 22a.

The oscillating member 25 is a vertically long block-shaped member that can be accommodated in the accommodation portion 22a of the base member 20, and its width in the left-right direction is slightly narrower than the distance between the left and right opposing wall portions 22c of the base member 20. Axle portions 25b are provided on the left and right side surfaces 25a of the oscillating member 25, located below the center and protruding from each side surface. The oscillating member 25 is supported so that it can freely oscillate, with the axle portions 25b inserted into the support holes 22j of the base member 20.

When the lower end of the oscillating member 25 supported by the base member 20 is pushed toward the outside of the room in the expected direction, the upper end protrudes toward the inside of the room as shown in FIG. 7(a). When the protruding upper end is pushed toward the outside of the room, the lower end returns to the inside of the room as shown in FIG. 7(b), and the oscillating member 25 oscillates so that it is housed in the housing portion 22a.

The shaft portion 25b is formed so that the amount of protrusion on the outside of the room is smaller than the amount of protrusion on the inside of the room, and the surface of the protruding tip is inclined, so that the oscillating member 25 can be easily inserted through the base opening 21a.

When the oscillating member 25 is in a stored state housed in the storage section 22a of the base member 20, the surface 25c facing the room is formed to be almost flat, and an operation recess 25d is provided that is located below the shaft section 25b of the surface 25c and indicates the position for operating the oscillating member 25. Furthermore, the surface 25c of the oscillating member 25 in the stored state is located on the indoor side edge of the base member 20, more specifically, on the outdoor side of the indoor side surface 21b of the base plate section 21. In other words, the surface 25c of the oscillating member 25 in the stored state is recessed from the indoor side surface 21b of the base plate section 21.

The rocking member 25 has an upper widening portion 25e with the widest width in the projection direction, a lower narrowing portion 25f with a narrower width in the projection direction than the widening portion 25e, and a central portion 25g with a narrower width in the projection direction than the narrowing portion 25f. That is, a central recess 25h is provided between the widening portion 25e and the narrowing portion 25f, which is recessed toward the interior side of the room than the narrowing portion 25f. At the lower end of the central recess 25h, a storage-time engagement recess 25i is provided that engages with the engagement portion 22h provided on the base member 20 to hold the rocking member in a stored state when the rocking member 25 is stored in the storage portion 22a, and a protruding-time engagement recess 25j is provided on the exterior side of the storage-time engagement recess 25i to hold the upper end side of the rocking member 25 in a protruding state.

The outdoor surface 25k of the rocking member 25 below the shaft 25b is inclined so that the width in the projection direction is narrower at the lower end than at the upper end, which is the shaft 25b side. Therefore, when the rocking member 25 is stored in the storage section 22a, the distance between the outdoor surface 25k and the lower bottom 22e of the rocking member 25 below the shaft 25b is wider at the lower end.

When the part of the rocking member 25 below the shaft 25b is pushed toward the outside of the room in the prospective direction, the outside surface 25k abuts against the lower bottom 22e or swings around the shaft 25b until it is close to the bottom 22e, and the upper end protrudes toward the inside of the room. Here, the part below the shaft 25b that is pushed toward the outside of the room in the prospective direction corresponds to the operating part 25l, and the part protruding from the base member 20 corresponds to the protruding part 25m. In other words, the protruding part 25m is the protruding part of the widening part 25e. Both side surfaces 25a of the rocking member 25 that become the protruding part 25m are provided with side recesses 25n that are recessed in the left-right direction. Here, both side surfaces 25a of the protruding part 25m correspond to the opposing parts of the rocking member 25 that face the prospective surface of the base member 20.

The side recess 25n is provided to prevent sand or the like from entering between the oscillating member 25 and the left and right opposing wall portions 22c of the base member 20, making it difficult for the oscillating member 25 to oscillate. For this reason, the amount of depression of the side recess 25n may be sufficiently larger than the size of a grain of sand, for example.

The widened portion 25e of the oscillating member 25 constitutes approximately half of the overall length of the oscillating member 25 in the vertical direction, and the shaft portion 25b is located approximately in the center in the vertical direction of the lower portion of the oscillating member 25 excluding the widened portion 25e. In other words, the oscillating member 25 is formed so that the portion above the shaft portion 25b is longer than the portion below the shaft portion 25b. Therefore, the amount by which the protruding portion 25m of the oscillating member 25 protrudes is greater than the amount by which the operating portion 25l is pressed in.

In this embodiment, the screen door 1 can be prevented from sliding left and right by the restricting member 2 when the right vertical frame 31 of the screen door 1 engages with the right vertical frame 13a to cover the opening 10a formed by the fitting frame 13 and the fitting frame 12b of the outer screen 12.

When restricting the screen door 1, it is slidably mounted on the outside of the outer screen 12, and the door end frame 12a of the outer screen 12 engages with the left vertical frame 13b, and when the inner screen 11 is open, it first moves to a position that covers the screen door 1. At this time, the left vertical frame 30 of the screen door 1 protrudes to the right of the meeting frame 12b of the outer screen 12, i.e., towards the opening 10a.

Next, the operating part 25l, which is the part of the rocking member 25 of the restricting member 2 provided on the overhanging part 30b of the screen door 1, below the shaft part 25b is pushed toward the outside of the room in the prospective direction. At this time, the rocking member 25 rocks around the shaft part 25b until the outside surface 25k of the operating part 25l abuts or approaches the lower bottom part 22e, and the protruding part 25m protrudes from the base plate part 21 to the inside of the room. That is, the rocking member 25 moves from the stored state shown in FIG. 7(b) to the protruding state shown in FIG. 7(a). At this time, the engaging part 22h of the base member 20, which was engaged with the storage-time engaging recess 25i, disengages from the storage-time engaging recess 25i due to the elastic deformation of the arm part 22g, and engages with the protruding-time engaging recess 25j, so that the rocking member 25 is held in a state in which the protruding part 25m protrudes. Here, the lower bottom part 22e corresponds to the rocking restricting part that restricts the rocking of the rocking member.

The protruding portion 25m protrudes further inside the room than the surface of the outer screen 12's door frame 12b that faces the outside, so when the screen door 1 slides to the left, the protruding portion 25m comes into contact with the outer screen 12's door frame 12b, restricting the screen door 1 from sliding to the left.

When the restriction of the screen door 1 is released, the protruding protrusion 25m is pushed toward the outside of the room in the prospective direction. At this time, the swinging member 25 swings about the shaft 25b until the widening portion 25e abuts or approaches the upper bottom portion 22d of the base member 20, and the lower end of the operating portion 25l moves toward the inside of the room, and the swinging member 25 is accommodated in the accommodation portion 22a. That is, the swinging member 25 moves from the protruding state shown in FIG. 7(a) to the accommodation state shown in FIG. 7(b). At this time, the engaging portion 22h of the base member 20, which was engaged with the protruding engagement recess 25j, disengages from the protruding engagement recess 25j due to the elastic deformation of the arm portion 22g, and engages with the accommodation engagement recess 25i, so that the swinging member 25 is held in the accommodation portion 22a. Here, the engaging portion 22h corresponds to a holding portion that engages with the oscillating member 25 to hold the oscillating member 25 in a state where it is housed in the housing portion 22a and where the protruding portion 25m is protruding.

According to the screen door 1 of this embodiment, the restricting member 2 is provided on the protruding portion 30b of the vertical frame 30 on the left side of the screen door 1, which protrudes further toward the opening 10a than the joining frame 12b of the outer screen 12, and the protruding portion 25m protruding in the forward direction engages with the joining frame 12b of the outer screen 12 to restrict the sliding movement of the screen door 1, so there is no need to receive a separate member that engages with the restricting member 2 of the screen door 1 to restrict the sliding movement of the screen door 1. Because of this, the number of constituent parts is small, making it possible to reduce manufacturing costs and construction costs.

In addition, the protruding protrusion 25m engages with the interlocking frame 12b of the outer screen 12, which is installed over almost the entire length in the vertical direction, so the positioning of the restricting member 2 in the vertical direction does not require precision. This makes it easy to install and does not require adjustment, making it easy to manufacture and install. In this way, it is possible to provide a screen door 1 that is easy to manufacture and install, keeps costs down, and can prevent self-propelling.

In addition, because the restricting member 2 is attached to the vertical frame 30, its position in the vertical direction can be set as desired. This allows it to be placed in a position that is easier to operate than if it were attached to the upper and lower horizontal frames 32, resulting in excellent operability.

In addition, because the operating portion 25l and the protruding portion 25m are arranged vertically, the width of the restricting member 2 in the left-right direction can be narrower than when the operating portion 25l and the protruding portion 25m are arranged horizontally. This allows the width of the protruding portion 30b on which the restricting member 2 is provided to be narrower, so the visibility obstructed by the protruding portion 30b is small, making it possible to provide a screen door 1 with excellent design.

In addition, in the case of a fitting in which the edge of the inner screen 11 is located closer to the opening 10a than the joint frame 12b of the outer screen 12 when the inner screen 11 is opened, even if the vertical frame 30 on the left side of the screen 1 protrudes toward the opening 10a, the protruding portion 30b is hidden by the edge of the inner screen 11 and cannot be seen, so the design is not impaired.

In addition, because the base member 20 has a lower bottom portion 22e, the amount to which the operating portion 25l is pressed is clear, and it is possible to reliably cause the protruding portion 25m to protrude appropriately.

The base member 20 also has 22h that engages with the oscillating member 25 to hold the oscillating member 25 housed in the housing portion 22a with the protruding portion 25m protruding. This prevents the housed oscillating member 25 from unexpectedly protruding and impeding the sliding movement of the screen door 1, and prevents the protruding portion 25m from unexpectedly being housed and causing the screen door 1 to slide.

In addition, in the oscillating member 25 housed in the base member 20, the side surface 25a of the oscillating member 25 facing the left and right opposing wall portions 22c that form the projecting surface of the base member 20 has a side recess 25n that is recessed on the opposite side to the left and right opposing wall portions 22c. Therefore, even if sand or the like gets between the oscillating member 25 and the left and right opposing wall portions 22c, it will get into the side recess 25n, so it is possible to prevent sand or the like from being pinched between the oscillating member 25 and the left and right opposing wall portions 22c, making it difficult for the oscillating member 25 to oscillate.

In addition, the surface 25c of the oscillating member 25 housed in the base member 20 facing the room is located on the outside of the room relative to the surface 21b of the base plate portion 21, which is the interior edge of the base member 20. In other words, since the oscillating member 25 housed in the base member 20 is recessed from the surface 21b of the base plate portion 21, it is possible to more reliably prevent the movement of the screen door 1 from being impeded when the oscillating member 25 is housed in the base member 20.

In the above embodiment, an example was described in which the opening 10a covered by the screen door 1 is formed by the fitting frame 13 and the joint frame 12b of the outer door 12, but this is not limited to this. For example, the opening may be formed by a vertical frame such as a mullion that vertically connects the upper and lower frames that make up the fitting frame of a fitting with a single sliding door, and a vertical frame that is spaced apart from the upper and lower frames in the left-right direction.

For this reason, in the above embodiment, the right vertical frame 13a and upper and lower horizontal frames 13c of the fitting frame 12 and the fitting frame 12b of the outer door 12 are described as the frames that form the opening 10a, but this is not limited to the above. For example, the frame that forms the opening may be one of the vertical frames and the upper and lower horizontal frames and vertical bones of the fitting frame. In addition, in the case of a fitting in which a sliding outer door and a fixed door in which the door cannot move are arranged side by side in the left-right direction, and the outer door is slidable to a position where it overlaps with the outside of the fixed door, one of the vertical frames and the upper and lower horizontal frames of the fitting frame and the fitting frame of the fixed door correspond to the frames that form the opening 10a.

In addition, in the above embodiment, an example in which two restricting members 2 are provided on the screen door 1 has been described, but this is not limited thereto, and the number of restricting members 1 provided on the screen door 1 may be one, or three or more.

Furthermore, the above-described embodiment is for the purpose of facilitating understanding of the present invention, and is not intended to limit the present invention. The present invention can be modified and improved without departing from the spirit of the present invention, and it goes without saying that the present invention includes equivalents thereof.
The present embodiment includes at least the following inventions.

A screen door that is slidably installed on the outside of an opening, and when the screen door covers the opening, the vertical frame of the screen door, located at the joint with the frame that forms the opening, has a protruding part that protrudes toward the opening beyond the joint, and a restricting member that is provided on the protruding part, protrudes toward the inside of the room, and engages with the frame to restrict the sliding movement of the screen door.

With this type of screen door, the restricting member is attached to a protruding portion of the screen door's vertical frame that protrudes further toward the opening than the joint with the frame, and the protruding portion that protrudes in the forward direction engages with the frame to restrict the sliding movement of the screen door, so there is no need to provide a separate member that engages with the restricting member of the screen door to restrict the sliding movement of the screen door. Because of this, the number of constituent parts is small, making it possible to reduce manufacturing and construction costs.

In addition, since the protruding protrusion engages with a frame that is installed over almost the entire length in the vertical direction, the positioning of the restricting member in the vertical direction does not require precision. This makes it easy to install and does not require adjustment, making it easy to manufacture and install. In this way, it is possible to provide a screen door that is easy to manufacture and install, keeps costs down, and can prevent self-propelling.

In such a screen door, the restricting member has a base member attached to the protruding portion and a swinging member supported by the base member so as to be swingable, and the swinging member has an operating part that can be pushed in the expected direction and a protruding part that protrudes in the expected direction when the operating part is pushed in and swings, and the protruding part is located above or below the operating part.

With this type of screen door, the operating part and the protruding part are arranged vertically, so the width of the restricting member in the left-right direction can be narrower than when the operating part and the protruding part are arranged horizontally. This allows the width of the protruding part on which the restricting member is provided to be narrower, so the visibility obstructed by the protruding part is small, making it possible to provide a screen door with excellent design.

Such a screen door is characterized in that the base member has a storage section that stores the oscillating member when the protrusion is not protruding, a swing regulating section that abuts against the operating section when pressed in to regulate the swing of the oscillating member, and a holding section that engages with the oscillating member to hold the oscillating member stored in the storage section and in a state in which the protrusion protrudes.
According to this type of screen door, since the base member is provided with a swing restriction portion, the amount by which the operating portion is pressed is clear, and it is possible to reliably cause the protrusion to protrude appropriately.

The base member also has a retaining portion that engages with the oscillating member to hold the oscillating member housed in the housing portion and with the protruding portion protruding, preventing the housed oscillating member from unexpectedly protruding and impeding the sliding movement of the screen, and preventing the protruding portion from unexpectedly being housed and causing the screen to slide.

In such a screen door, the storage section has facing prospective surfaces spaced apart in the horizontal direction, the oscillating member is disposed between the facing prospective surfaces, and the opposing portion of the oscillating member that faces the prospective surface has a recess that is recessed on the opposite side to the prospective surface.

In this type of screen door, the opposing part of the oscillating member housed in the base member that faces the projected surface of the base part has a recess that is recessed on the opposite side to the projected surface. Even if sand or other particles get between the oscillating member and the projected surface, the sand or other particles that get in will get into the recess, preventing sand or other particles from getting caught between the opposing part and the projected surface and making it difficult for the oscillating member to swing.

The screen door is characterized in that the surface of the swinging member that faces the room when housed in the base member is located on the outside of the edge of the base member that faces the room.

With this type of screen door, the surface of the oscillating member housed in the base member that faces the room is located on the outside of the interior edge of the base member. In other words, because the oscillating member housed in the base member is recessed from the interior edge of the base member, it is possible to more reliably prevent the movement of the screen door from being impeded.
