Description
This invention relates to a technology for producing component-mounted boards by mounting components housed in a component supply tape having a carrier tape that houses multiple components and a cover tape that covers the carrier tape onto a board.
In the component mounters shown in
By the way, there are various materials for carrier tape, such as paper and resin. Therefore, when carrier tape discharged as waste tape from a tape feeder is collected in a tape collection section, waste tape of different materials may be mixed in the tape collection section, making recycling and disposal of the waste tape complicated. Therefore, in
However, when the production type of component-mounted board is changed, the components supplied by the tape feeder attached to the feeder attachment/detachment range may be changed. In such a case, a tape feeder that supplies components to be used after the production type is changed can be newly attached to the feeder attachment/detachment range when the production type is changed, or the tape feeder can be attached to the feeder attachment/detachment range in advance and use of the tape feeder can be started after the production type is changed. However, regardless of the method used, the material of the waste tape discharged from the tape feeder attached to the feeder attachment/detachment range may change before and after the production type is changed. As a result, the material of the waste tape collected in the tape collection section may differ before and after the production type is changed, and waste tapes of different materials may be mixed in the tape collection section.
This invention was developed in consideration of the above problem, and aims to provide a technology that can prevent waste tapes of different materials from being mixed together and collected in a tape collection section when the production type of component mounting board is changed.
The component mounting machine according to the present invention is a component mounting machine that produces component-mounted boards by mounting components accommodated in a component supply tape having a carrier tape that accommodates multiple components and a cover tape that covers the carrier tape, on a board, and is equipped with multiple tape recovery units, a feeder mounting unit that has multiple feeder attachment/detachment ranges that respectively correspond to the multiple tape recovery units and can detachably mount multiple tape feeders in the feeder attachment/detachment ranges, a control unit that determines the tape feeders to be mounted in the feeder attachment/detachment ranges, and a mounting head that removes components from the carrier tape and mounts them on the board by transporting the component supply tape by the tape feeders mounted in the feeder attachment/detachment ranges according to the determination by the control unit, and the feeder mounting unit is equipped with a first type tape feeder that can be mounted as a tape feeder, and the first type tape feeder The feeder discharges the carrier tape from which the cover tape has been removed as waste tape as the component supply tape is transported, and the tape recovery unit recovers the waste tape discharged from the first type tape feeder attached to the corresponding feeder attachment/detachment range, and the control unit determines the tape feeder to be attached to one feeder attachment/detachment range during the production of the same type of component-mounted board, so that waste tape of the same material is discharged from the tape feeder attached to the one feeder attachment/detachment range and waste tape of different materials is not discharged mixed, and when there is a change in the material of the waste tape discharged from the tape feeder attached to the one feeder attachment/detachment range due to a change in the type of component-mounted board being produced, the control unit executes a mixing prevention process to prevent waste tape of different materials from being mixed in the tape recovery unit.
The component mounting method according to the present invention is a component mounting method for producing a component-mounted board by mounting components accommodated in a component supply tape having a carrier tape that accommodates multiple components and a cover tape that covers the carrier tape on a board, the method comprising the steps of: determining a tape feeder to be mounted in the feeder attachment range of a feeder attachment section that has multiple feeder attachment ranges corresponding to multiple tape recovery sections, respectively, and in which multiple tape feeders can be detachably attached to the feeder attachment range; removing components to be supplied by the tape feeder attached in the feeder attachment range by transporting the component supply tape from the carrier tape and mounting the components on the board; and notifying an operator; the feeder attachment section is capable of mounting a first type tape feeder as a tape feeder, and the first type tape feeder is capable of being mounted on the board. The tape feeder discharges the carrier tape from which the cover tape has been removed as waste tape as the component supply tape is transported, and the tape recovery unit recovers the waste tape discharged from the first type tape feeder attached to the corresponding feeder attachment/detachment range. During the production of component-mounted boards of the same type, waste tape of the same material is discharged from the tape feeder attached to one feeder attachment/detachment range, and a tape feeder to be attached to that one feeder attachment/detachment range is determined so that waste tape of different materials is not discharged mixed together. If the material of the waste tape discharged from the tape feeder attached to one feeder attachment/detachment range changes due to a change in the type of component-mounted board being produced, a mixing prevention process is performed to prevent waste tape of different materials from being mixed together in the tape recovery unit.
In the present invention (component mounting machine, component mounting method) configured in this manner, a plurality of feeder attachment/detachment ranges are provided corresponding to a plurality of tape recovery units, and a plurality of tape feeders can be detachably attached to each feeder attachment/detachment range. In particular, a first type tape feeder can be attached to the feeder attachment/detachment range, and this first type tape feeder discharges the carrier tape from which the cover tape has been removed as a waste tape in association with the transport of the component supply tape, and the tape recovery unit recovers the waste tape discharged from the first type tape feeder attached to the corresponding feeder attachment/detachment range. Then, during the production of component mounting boards of the same type, a tape feeder to be attached to one feeder attachment/detachment range is determined so that waste tape of the same material is discharged from the tape feeder attached to that one feeder attachment/detachment range, and waste tape of different materials is not discharged mixed together. On the other hand, if a change in the type of component mounting board being produced causes a change in the material of the waste tape discharged from a tape feeder attached to one feeder attachment/detachment range, a mixing prevention process is executed to prevent waste tapes of different materials from being mixed in the tape recovery section. This makes it possible to prevent waste tapes of different materials from being mixed and collected in the tape recovery section due to a change in the production type of component mounting board.
The component mounter may also be configured to further include an alarm unit that issues an alarm to the worker, and the control unit executes the process of causing the alarm unit to issue an alarm as a mixing prevention process. In such a configuration, the worker can set the tape recovery unit from which the waste tape has been removed by confirming the alarm from the alarm unit, and it is possible to prevent waste tapes of different materials from being mixed together and collected in the tape recovery unit.
The control unit may also configure the mounter to execute a process for causing the robot to perform maintenance for a single feeder attachment/detachment range, setting up a tape recovery unit from which waste tape has been removed, as a mixing prevention process. This makes it possible to prevent waste tapes of different materials from being mixed together and collected in the tape recovery unit.
In addition, in a case where the material of the waste tape discharged from a first type tape feeder in one feeder attachment/detachment range changes from the first material to the second material as the variety of component-mounted boards being produced changes from a first type to a second type, the control unit may determine that, before the production of the first type of component-mounted board, a first type tape feeder discharging a waste tape of the first material and a first type tape feeder discharging a waste tape of the second material are each attached to one feeder attachment/detachment range, and the component mounting machine may be configured so that, during the production of the first type of component-mounted board, the first type tape feeder discharging the waste tape of the first material transports the component supply tape to supply components, while the first tape feeder discharging the waste tape of the second material does not transport the component supply tape, and, during the production of the second type of component-mounted board, the first type tape feeder discharging the waste tape of the second material transports the component supply tape to supply components. In this configuration, when the supply of components by the tape feeder that was previously installed in the feeder attachment/detachment range begins in response to a change in the type of component mounting board, the waste tape of the second material discharged from the tape feeder can be prevented from being mixed with the waste tape of the first material that was collected in the tape collection section before the change in the type of component mounting board.
In addition, in a case where the material of the waste tape discharged from the first type tape feeder in one feeder attachment/detachment range changes from the first material to the second material as the type of component mounting board to be produced changes from the first type to the second type, the control unit may be configured to determine that the first type tape feeder discharging the waste tape of the first material is attached to the first feeder attachment/detachment range before the production of the first type of component mounting board, and to determine that the first type tape feeder discharging the waste tape of the second material is attached to the first feeder attachment/detachment range after the production of the first type of component mounting board but before the production of the second type of component mounting board. In this configuration, it is possible to prevent the waste tape of the second material discharged from the tape feeder newly attached to the feeder attachment/detachment range as the type of component mounting board changes from being mixed with the waste tape of the first material that was collected in the tape collection unit before the change in the type of component mounting board.
The component mounter may also be configured so that a second type tape feeder can be attached to the feeder attachment section as a tape feeder, the second type tape feeder discharges each of the carrier tape and cover tape as waste tape as the component supply tape is transported, and the tape recovery section recovers the waste tape discharged from the second type tape feeder attached to the corresponding feeder attachment/detachment range. In this configuration, if the waste tapes discharged from the first type tape feeder and the second type tape feeder attached to one feeder attachment/detachment range are made of different materials, it is possible to prevent these from being mixed and recovered in the tape recovery section.
The control unit may be configured to configure the component mounting machine so that, when the carrier tape discharged by a first type tape feeder mounted in a feeder attachment/detachment range and the carrier tape and cover tape discharged by a second type tape feeder are made of the same material during the production of component mounting boards of the same type, the control unit determines which tape feeder is to be mounted in the one feeder attachment/detachment range while permitting the discharge of waste tape from each of the first type tape feeder and the second type tape feeder mounted in the one feeder attachment/detachment range. In this configuration, waste tape (carrier tape, cover tape) of the same material discharged from each of the first type tape feeder and the second type tape feeder can be collected together in the tape collection unit.
The control unit may also configure the component mounting machine to determine which tape feeder is to be attached to one feeder attachment/detachment range so that waste tapes from the first and second tape feeders attached to the one feeder attachment/detachment range are not discharged in a mixed state during the production of component mounting boards of the same type. In this configuration, it is possible to prevent waste tapes discharged from different types of tape feeders from being mixed and collected in the tape collection unit.
The control unit may also be configured to configure the component mounting machine so that, when a tape feeder that is attached to one feeder attachment/detachment range and discharges waste tape is changed between a first type tape feeder and a second type tape feeder in accordance with a change in the type of component mounting board being produced, the control unit executes processing to prevent waste tape discharged from different types of tape feeders from being mixed in the tape recovery section. With such a configuration, it is possible to prevent waste tape discharged from different types of tape feeders from being mixed and collected in the tape recovery section.
The component mounter may also be configured so that two or more of the multiple tape collection units are configured as a single tape collection box separated by a partition member. In this configuration, waste tapes of different materials can be collected using a single tape collection box.
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to prevent waste tapes of different materials from being mixed together and collected in the tape collection section due to a change in the production type of component mounting boards.
Figure 1 is a perspective view showing the external configuration of a component mounter according to the present invention, Figure 2 is a perspective view showing the internal configuration of the component mounter of Figure 1, Figure 3 is a plan view showing the internal configuration of the component mounter of Figure 1, and Figure 4 is a perspective view showing the component supply tape used to supply components in the component mounter of Figure 1. In this specification, the X direction, which is the horizontal direction, the Y direction, which is the horizontal direction perpendicular to the X direction, and the Z direction, which is the vertical direction, are appropriately indicated.

The

As shown in FIG. 4, the component supply tape Ts has a carrier tape Tc and a cover tape Tv. The carrier tape Tc has a number of pockets Tcp arranged in a row, and each pocket Tcp contains a component E. The cover tape Tv is attached to the carrier tape Tc to close the opening of the pocket Tcp. The
As shown in FIG. 1, a
The
The
Incidentally, the material of the carrier tape Tc of the component supply tape Ts is broadly divided into two types: paper and resin. In this case, in order to recycle the carrier tape Tc collected in the
Figure 5 is a diagram showing an example of a method for managing tape feeders attached to a component supply cart, and Figures 6A and 6B are plan views that show a first mode for producing two types of component-mounted boards in sequence according to the tape feeder management method of Figure 5. These figures correspond to a case in which a first type of component-mounted board is produced, and then a second type of component-mounted board different from the first type is produced, and in particular Figure 6A shows the production of the first type of component-mounted board, and Figure 6B shows the production of the second type of component-mounted board.
As shown in FIG. 6A and FIG. 6B, each of the four component supply carts 5 (feeder mounting units) equipped in the
Before starting production of component-mounted boards, the
Due to the setting of the material, during the production of the first type of component mounting board, the
Therefore, the
When the setup is completed in this manner, the production of the first type of component-mounted board and the production of the second type of component-mounted board are performed in sequence. As a result, during the production of the first type of component-mounted board, the
During production of the second type of component-mounted board, the
When the type of component mounting board being produced is changed from the first type to the second type, the material of the carrier tape Tc discharged from the
Figure 7 is a flowchart showing an example of waste tape management. In step S101, it is monitored whether the type of component mounting board to be produced is changed. Then, if the type is changed (step S101: YES), it is determined whether there is a feeder attachment/detachment range A among the multiple feeder attachment/detachment ranges A(1)-A(4) of the
In this example, a change occurs in the material of the carrier tape Tc discharged from the
In the embodiment described above, a plurality of feeder attachment/detachment ranges A(1) to A(4) are provided corresponding to a plurality of tape recovery boxes 6 (tape recovery sections), and a plurality of
An output device 92 (alarm unit) that issues an alert to the worker is also provided, and the
Incidentally, in the above embodiment, a common setup is performed to make the setup for the production of component-mounted boards common to the first and second varieties. Therefore, the
Figures 8A and 8B are plan views showing a second embodiment in which two types of component-mounted boards are produced in sequence according to the tape feeder management method of Figure 5. In particular, Figure 8A shows the production of a first type of component-mounted board, and Figure 8B shows the production of a second type of component-mounted board. The difference between the first and second embodiments is whether or not a common setup is performed, so here we will focus on the differences from the first embodiment and omit appropriate explanations of commonalities by using corresponding reference numerals. It goes without saying that the second embodiment also achieves a corresponding effect by having a configuration common to the first embodiment. This is the same for each of the modified examples shown below.
In the second aspect, before the start of production of the first type of component-mounted board, only the
Therefore, when the type of component mounting board to be produced is changed from the first type to the second type, the material of the carrier tape Tc discharged from the
For the feeder attachment/detachment range A(1) to A(4), in addition to the
Figures 9A and 9B are plan views that show a third embodiment in which two types of component-mounted boards are produced in sequence according to the tape feeder management method of Figure 5. Two types of tape feeders are used in Figures 9A and 9, and in particular Figure 9A shows the production of a first type of component-mounted board, and Figure 9B shows the production of a second type of component-mounted board.
In this third mode, as shown in FIG. 5, the material of the carrier tape Tc discharged from the
In this way, the
As a result, as shown in Figures 9A and 9B, a
In other words, the
When the type of component mounting board being produced is changed from the first type to the second type, a change occurs in the material of the carrier tape Tc discharged from the
In the third aspect, the
In addition, during the production of component mounting boards of the same type, if the material of the carrier tape Tc discharged by the

The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and various modifications can be made to the above without departing from the spirit of the present invention. For example, the content of the process executed in step S103 may be changed. Specifically, the
Alternatively, for example, it may be configured as shown in Fig. 10A and Fig. 10B. Fig. 10A and Fig. 10B are plan views that show a fourth mode in which two types of component-mounted boards are produced in sequence according to the tape feeder management method of Fig. 5. In Fig. 10A and Fig. 10, two types of tape feeders are used, and in particular Fig. 10A shows the production of a first type of component-mounted board, and Fig. 10B shows the production of a second type of component-mounted board.
In the fourth aspect, regardless of the material of the carrier tape Tc and cover tape Tv discharged by the

Furthermore, in this modified example, the
