Description

The present invention relates to a storage device for bicycle saddle accessories and/or saddle covers that serve as both a saddle wipe and a saddle cover.

When it rains, the bicycle saddle gets wet and if you ride with it on, your buttocks will get wet, so various attempts have been made to prevent this, such as putting a cover on it. These covers need to be removed when it rains, and there are problems such as where to put them on while riding, the effort required to remove them, and the inconvenience of putting the cover back on after riding. There are also many problems, such as the inside getting wet in the rain while storing the bike and then the inside getting wet when putting the cover back on. It is also seen that the towel is wiped dry with a towel or handkerchief and then inserted under the saddle, but it looks bad because it gets wet with the rain that blows in or hangs out and drips down, and there are also problems with keeping the towel in place, as it often comes off during riding and falls off when you notice it.
The present invention has been made in view of these problems.

Patent document 1, JP 2002-255076, is a box for storing cloths for wiping the saddle, and is a structural product that is attached to the underside of the saddle by gluing it from below. Since the underside of the saddle cannot be seen, it is not clear whether the attachment was securely done, and since the space is narrow, it has to be a small box, which makes it difficult to use, such as taking things in and out. The storage device of the present application is a storage device that is rotatably connected to the steel wire between the springs under the saddle, and is not a box, so its structure is completely different.

In Patent Document 2, Utility Model Registration No. 3147898, the saddle cover is stored under the saddle, but since the storage plate is integrated with the saddle cover at one end, a string is attached to the other end, and the string attachment position is inserted between the saddle and the spring under the saddle and fixed to the seat post with the string. When storing, the saddle cover is rolled up and pushed inside the set storage seat, and the hook is hooked onto the spring connecting bar for storage.
The main subject of the product in this application is a saddle accessory, but even though it is a saddle cover, during storage it is placed on a bottom plate-like object that is not present in the above-mentioned actual product, and this bottom plate-like object is connected to a steel wire in a rotatable manner by a connector installed on its underside rather than by a string, and furthermore, since the storage device and the saddle accessory are separate entities, the structures and storage means are completely different.

Patent Document 3, Registered Utility Model No. 3018045, connects a bag that contains the saddle cover to the saddle, and has a string on the bag for tying it to the saddle spring. It is stored by hanging it from the spring, and since it is a bag that is attached to the outside of the saddle, it is completely different in structure and storage means from the product of the present invention.

Even in other cases where the lower part of the saddle is used, there is no concept of using a connector attached to a flat plate on top of two steel wires between springs to frame the space with a flat plate.

Conventional saddle covers are usually left on the saddle and the rider would then remove them when it rains and step onto a dry saddle. The removed saddle cover is usually placed in the bicycle's mounting basket, but when it rains, the inside of the cover often gets wet, so when it is time to put the cover back on, the inside must still be wet, which is a hassle and causes problems.
On the other hand, when it rains, people sometimes use a towel or handkerchief to wipe the saddle, usually by tucking it under the saddle. However, this alone can cause the towel or other items to get wet in the rain or hang down unsightly, and they often fall off and get lost without them noticing while riding, which can be frustrating when you need them.

This application does not use a container such as a storage bag or box, but is surrounded by a bottom piece and a partition , and a connector that rotatably clamps the steel wire between the round springs is installed on this bottom piece , and the saddle body , two round springs, and this connector are configured, so that a larger storage space can be secured compared to using a container. The plastic plate-like object referred to in this application is conveniently a plastic with a plate thickness of 2 mm or less, and typically any plastic thin plate such as polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene, PET, polyacrylic, etc. that is elastic when the bottom piece and the partition are folded. In addition, the problem was solved by using a cloth that can absorb moisture and is also attached with a string-like object to prevent it from slipping off when straddling the saddle.

The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings.
A bird's-eye view of the saddle accessory storage device and/or saddle cover storage device (12) of the present invention is shown in Fig. 1. As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, a plastic plate-like object with a connector (5) that can be rotatably connected to a steel wire (4) that connects the two round springs is installed on the triangular bottom surface between the two round springs (2) that support the saddle under the bicycle saddle body (1) and the saddle support shaft (3) and a triangular column space formed under the saddle body, i.e., the storage device of the present invention, facing downwards. This storage device is composed of a bottom piece (6) and a partition part (7) that is folded in the middle to block the outside, and a saddle accessory (8) is stored in the internal space created by folding . The partition part (7) is equipped with another plate-like object that can move 7a up and down and 7b and 7c sideways as shown in Fig. 4, and these are adjusted up, down, left and right and fixed with screws (11). It is preferable that 7a is hung on the rear back side of the saddle as shown in Fig. 3. Also, since the width between the two round springs varies depending on the saddle, 7b and 7c are adjusted to fit, but it is better to attach lugs to both ends, bend them inwards and sandwich them between the round springs (2). Separate 7b and 7c may not be installed, and the screen itself may be stretched horizontally, attached lugs and covered the round springs (2). When storing a towel-shaped saddle auxiliary (8), as shown in Figure 3, when the bottom part (6) is pushed into the back of the saddle auxiliary, the tip is pushed down by the rotation, which works to raise the screen part (7). Also, this storage device has a cut-out space (10) in the bottom piece part (6) that comes into contact with the steel wire (4) , and if the steel wire (4) is mountain-shaped depending on the bicycle, the mountain-shaped part can be inserted and used.

The width between the two round springs (2) under the saddle and the length between the steel wire (4) and the saddle body (1) vary depending on the bicycle, so it is difficult to provide an appropriate box with one box of a fixed size, and the triangular column space is narrow, so it is desirable to use it as widely as possible. These problems are solved by using this storage device composed of a bottom piece (6) and a partition part (7) instead of a box. Since it is the lower part of the saddle body (6), there is no need to worry about getting wet in the rain even if it is not a box. Also, if the saddle auxiliary protrudes outside or the ends hang down, it looks bad, but this can be prevented by confining it with the partition structure and the bottom plate-like object on the underside. Since it is not confined in a box, the wet cover can be dried quickly when wiping.

The connector (5) of the present invention for rotatably connecting can be set as one on the bottom piece (6), but two on both sides as shown in Figures 1 and 2 are also good. The connector (5) can be made by cutting both sides of the bottom piece (6) and erecting the support pieces (5a, 5c) (Figures 1 and 4), or by bending a rectangular plastic or thin metal plate as shown in Figure 5 and gluing the (5b) part to the bottom piece (6). When glued , the support piece (5b) becomes one with the bottom piece (6) and therefore becomes a part of the bottom piece (6). The connector is used by sandwiching the steel wire (4) between the support pieces (5a, 5c) of the connector, but since the actual connector faces downward, only the support pieces (5a, 5c) are good, but to prevent it from falling off if the rotation is too large, it is better to bend the tip of the support piece (5c) to form a support piece (5d). The support piece (5a) should be inclined at an angle of less than 90 degrees inward with respect to the support piece (5b), i.e., the bottom piece (6) . When setting, the steel wire (4) is pressed from the outside of the support piece (5a) and slid in, and the elasticity of the plastic can be used to insert and set it between the support pieces (5a, 5c). Since the steel wire (4) is not straight but slightly curved, the length between the support pieces (5b, 5d) should be made larger than the diameter of the steel wire and the tip of the support piece (5a) should be hooked on the inside of the support piece (5d). If the length of the support pieces (5a) and (5b) is made longer, the storage device can be slid back and forth while still set on the steel wire (4) when inserting and removing the saddle auxiliary, making it easier to insert and remove the saddle auxiliary and to hold it. In addition, the storage device can be easily attached and removed.

The mounting and dismounting of the storage device itself may be difficult because the lower part of the saddle body (1) is narrow and there is a luggage rack immediately behind it. As can be seen from Figures 2 and 3, in this case , the bottom piece (6) of the storage device is placed on the steel wire (4) and slid in from the rear lower part of the bicycle saddle, where the steel wire (4) presses and enters the support piece (5a) of the above-mentioned connector (5) , and the support piece (5a) returns to its original shape due to the elasticity of the plastic, making it easy to mount. To remove it, the support piece (5a) can be pushed with a finger and removed. The storage device is connected to be rotatable around the steel wire (4) so that the saddle auxiliary and/or saddle cover can be easily inserted and removed by lowering and opening the screen part (7) to widen the entrance of the storage part. The connector (5) may also be a thin metal plate. In this connector, "clamping" means holding it between the support pieces (5a) and (5c) so that it can rotate and move.

The plate-like object that will become the partition (7) of the present invention is provided with a separate partition additional part (7a) that can be moved up and down as shown in FIG. 4, and its tip part can be easily hooked inside the recessed part at the rear of the saddle body as shown in FIG. 3. In addition, separate horizontal partition additional parts (7b, 7c) that can be moved to both the left and right sides of the partition (7) for width adjustment can also be provided. In this case, although not shown in the figure, these partition parts are stacked together to form three or more layers. These partition parts have notches and are fastened with screw fasteners (11), which can be loosened, slid to the appropriate position, and then fastened to fix them. The screw fasteners can be used in multiple pieces. This screw fastener (11) is convex, so it can be used to open and close by pinching it and moving it up and down, but a separate handle for moving it up and down can also be attached.

The vertical length between the steel wire between the round springs (4) and the saddle body (1) and the length between the two round springs vary considerably depending on the bicycle. Therefore, if the partition (7) is of a certain length, it may be difficult to hook it from the inside to the inner wall of the rear of the saddle body (1) . There are also cases where the partition can be maintained without being hooked, but it is better to adjust the length appropriately so that the partition (7) can be stably hooked even in such cases. Also, a partition (7) with ears can be installed so that it can be adjusted to be inserted and removed on both sides, or ears or bent parts can be attached to both ends of the partition (7) to cover the round springs (2) . This can reduce the protrusion of saddle auxiliary items stored inside and the parts visible from the outside by covering them.

The present invention can prevent traffic accidents by making the partition (7) yellow, red, or fluorescent or phosphorescent. It is possible to either stick a reflective sticker or process the partition (7) itself. Especially when driving on a night road, it is possible to notify cars, bicycles, people, etc. coming from behind of the presence of the vehicle, which is useful for preventing traffic accidents. It is also possible to provide a name column or advertising column.

The saddle auxiliary (8) of the present invention is a water-absorbent cloth material , and by attaching a string-like material (9), it can be installed so that it does not slip off the saddle when used as a sheet. The saddle body (1) is often 23 to 25 cm long and about 20 cm wide. Therefore, the water-absorbent cloth material is preferably a small square towel that can be placed on the saddle and is easily folded and stored without taking up too much space. In summer, when the saddle is hot, the saddle auxiliary (8) can be taken out and hung on the saddle to reduce buttocks sunburn. In such a case, if the cloth is small, it is easy to slip off the saddle, so if an elastic material such as a rubber string is attached and the cloth is hung on the saddle, it will not slip off. The string-like material (9) can be either linear or band-like.

In addition, there are no restrictions on saddle covers as long as they are small enough to be stored, and anything that can be folded and stored can be used in the same way as a saddle accessory (8) .

According to the saddle auxiliary storage device of the present invention, 1) on rainy days, if you wipe the wet saddle with this auxiliary device and ride, you can ride without getting your pants wet. 2) On hot summer days, if you hang this auxiliary device on the saddle when riding a bicycle that has been left in the hot sun, you can prevent your buttocks from getting sunburned. 3) By hanging this auxiliary device, especially in the case of new pants, your pants will not become shiny due to friction with the saddle. 4) Safety at night is increased against cars coming from behind. 5) Even when the wind is very dusty, you can use this saddle auxiliary device (8) to brush off the dust on the saddle before riding. Also, even if it is a saddle cover, a small volume saddle cover that can be folded and stored in this storage device can be stored and used when riding in the rain. As described above, it has become possible to easily and conveniently store and hold saddle auxiliary devices and/or saddle covers at any time.

The saddle accessory storage device shown in FIG. 1 was made using a 0.5 mm thick PVC plate. The bottom piece (6) was 4 cm wide and 5.5 cm long, the partition (7) was 5 cm wide and 4.5 cm high, and the opening angle between the two on the folded side was about 115 degrees, but it can be within 90 to 135 degrees. The additional partition (7a) was 0.5 mm thick, 5 cm wide and high, and had a vertical groove in the middle through which a screw could pass, and the additional horizontal partitions (7b, 7c) were 0.3 mm thick, 5 cm wide, 4.5 cm high, and had two pieces with 1 cm ears on one side of the horizontal width, for a total of three pieces, which were fastened to the partition (7) by overlapping the grooves with a screw fastener (11). The connecting tool (5) was a PVC piece made separately as shown in FIG. 5, and the support piece (5b) part was glued to the bottom piece (6) with adhesive. The width of the support piece of the connector (5) was 1 cm, and the lengths were 2 cm for support piece (5a) , 2.5 cm for support piece (5b) , 0.5 cm for support piece (5c) , and 1 cm for support piece (5d) . The storage device was placed on the round spring steel wire (4) at the rear lower part of the saddle and slid while being pushed in, and the round spring steel wire (4) was taken in between the support pieces and set. Next, the screw fastener (11) of the partition part (7) was loosened , and the partition additional part (7a) was moved up and down, and the screw was tightened and fixed at an appropriate position where it was hooked on the back of the saddle. In addition, the left and right side partition additional parts (7b, 7c) were also adjusted and fixed so that they fit well between the round screws of the saddle. Next, the partition part (7) was lowered and opened, and the saddle auxiliary part (8) with a side of 23 cm was folded and pushed in, and the partition part (7) was raised and set so that its upper part was hooked inside the rear of the saddle (Figures 2 and 3). When using it, the partition (7) was lowered, the saddle support was pulled out, the saddle was wiped clean, and then it was folded and tucked away. During the hot summer months, the saddle support (8) was pulled out and the rubber strap was used to attach it to the tip of the saddle and the protruding parts on both sides of the saddle, and the bicycle was then ridden from the support. In the evening when it got dark or at night, the light from behind was reflected, allowing the rider to know that he was riding a bicycle.

This storage device is made of 0.3 mm thick PVC board , the bottom piece (6) is 4 x 5.5 cm, there are no additional side partitions (7b, 7c), the partition part (7) itself is 13 cm wide and 5 cm high, and has 1 cm lugs on both ends so that it wraps the round spring (2) from the outside when set. The connector (5) was created by directly processing both sides of the bottom piece (6) shown in Figure 4. That is, the width is 0.5 cm, the support piece (5c) is 0.5 cm high, the upper support piece (5d) is 1 cm , the support piece (5b) is 2 cm, and the support piece ( 5a) is 1.5 cm, and the angle between the support pieces (5a) and (5b) is within 45 degrees, and the tip of the support piece (5a) is inside the support piece (5d). The storage device is placed on the steel wire between the round springs (4) at the rear lower part of the saddle and slid inwards to take in and set the steel wire between the round springs (4) inside the connector (5). The support piece (5b) is a little long , so the storage device can be pulled out a little towards the bicycle carrier when inserting or removing saddle auxiliary items. The storage device can also be easily removed from the steel wire between the round springs (4) by pressing the support piece (5a).

This can be used as a useful storage device for bicycle saddle auxiliary items and/or a storage device for saddle covers, as it is easy to take in and out the saddle auxiliary items (8) during rainy weather, midsummer, etc.

Claims (6)

A saddle accessory storage device and/or saddle cover storage device, characterized in that in the triangular column space formed at the bottom of the bicycle saddle body between the triangular bottom surface formed between the two round springs and the saddle support shaft that support the saddle and the underside of the saddle body, a plastic plate-like object is placed on the steel wire and connected to the triangular column space, with one side of the bottom side being bent upward and facing downwards with a connector that can be connected to the steel wire between the round springs in a rotatable and/or slidable manner, and the other side being a partition that blocks the triangular column space from the outside, and a saddle cleaning cloth/saddle sheet or a saddle cover is stored in the internal space formed. The saddle accessory storage device and/or saddle cover storage device of claim 1, characterized in that the connector, which can be connected to the steel wire in a rotatable and/or slidable manner, has two support pieces made of thin plastic or metal plates attached downward to the bottom portion, and the steel wire is sandwiched between the two pieces. The saddle accessory storage device and/or saddle cover storage device of claim 2 has a structure in which one of the two pieces is folded toward the other in the middle, and the other pair is folded toward the one side so that the angle between the two pieces and the base portion is within 90 degrees. A saddle accessory storage device and/or a saddle cover storage device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, in which a separate plate-shaped object that can be moved in and out vertically and/or horizontally is attached to the partition. The saddle accessory storage device and/or saddle cover storage device according to any one of claims 1 to 4, in which the partition is colored yellow, red, etc., or made of fluorescent or phosphorescent material to prevent traffic accidents. A set of a saddle auxiliary item storage device and/or a saddle cover storage device as described in any one of claims 1 to 5 and a saddle wiping cloth/saddle lining, wherein the saddle wiping cloth/saddle lining is a water-absorbent cloth-like material and can be attached to the saddle by attaching a string-like material so that it does not fall off the saddle.
