Claims (14)
- 高周波(RF)エネルギー及びマイクロ波エネルギーを伝達するための同軸伝送線路、
前記同軸伝送線路の遠位端部に結合されるエネルギー送達チップ、を含む電気手術器具であって、
前記エネルギー送達チップは、
前記同軸伝送線路の内部導体に電気的に結合され、前記同軸伝送線路の外部導体の遠位端部を越えて突出する第一電極と、
前記同軸伝送線路の前記外部導体に電気的に結合され、前記第一電極の一部に沿って同軸に延在する第二電極と、
前記第一電極と前記第二電極との間に配置される誘電体と、を含み、
前記第一電極は前記誘電体の遠位端部を越えて突出する突出ニブを含み、
前記第二電極及び前記誘電体は前記エネルギー送達チップの前記遠位端部で露出する部分を含み、
前記エネルギー送達チップは遠位に面する端面を含み、前記遠位に面する端面は前記誘電体の露出部分、及び前記突出ニブを中心に同心円状に配置される前記第二電極の露出部分を含むため、前記電気手術器具は前記同軸伝送線路の長手方向中心軸の周りに回転対称性を有し、前記第一電極及び前記第二電極は(i)前記同軸伝送線路によって伝達される前記RFエネルギーを送達するためのバイポーラ構造体、及び(ii)前記同軸伝送線路によって伝達される前記マイクロ波エネルギーを放射するためのアンテナ、として構成される、前記電気手術器具。 - 前記遠位に面する端面は、前記送達されたRFエネルギーを前記突出ニブに集束させる輪郭を示す、請求項1に記載の電気手術器具。
- 前記遠位に面する端面は円錐形である、請求項1または2に記載の電気手術器具。
- 前記遠位に面する端面は、前記突出ニブの長手方向軸に対して45°の角度をなす、請求項2に記載の電気手術器具。
- 前記遠位に面する端面は丸みを帯びている、請求項1または2に記載の電気手術器具。
- 前記第一電極は、前記内部導体の遠位に延在する部分によって形成される、請求項1~請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の電気手術器具。
- 前記第一電極は、コネクタロッドを介して前記内部導体に結合される、請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の電気手術器具。
- 前記コネクタロッドは、前記内部導体の外面に固定される近位シースを含む、請求項7に記載の電気手術器具。
- 前記コネクタロッドは、圧着によって前記内部導体に接続される、請求項7または8に記載の電気手術器具。
- 前記第二電極は、前記外部導体の遠位部分の上にある近位部分を有する導電性スリーブを含む、請求項1~請求項9のいずれか1項に記載の電気手術器具。
- 前記導電性スリーブは圧着によって前記外部導体に固定される、請求項10に記載の電気手術器具。
- 前記同軸伝送線路の遠位部分、及び前記エネルギー送達チップの近位部分を覆うように配置される、外側絶縁ジャケットをさらに含む、請求項1~請求項11のいずれか1項に記載の電気手術器具。
- 前記アンテナは、前記マイクロ波エネルギーを生体組織内に結合するためのインピーダンス変換器として構成される、請求項1~請求項12のいずれか1項に記載の電気手術器具。
- 前記第一電極、前記誘電体、及び前記第二電極は、前記エネルギー送達チップを前記マイクロ波エネルギー用の1/4波長変換器として動作させるように選択される長さを有する、請求項13に記載の電気手術器具。
