Description

The present invention relates to a baseball catching tool that includes a cover body for forming a thumb insertion section and a finger hook for hooking the inserted thumb, which is the thumb inserted into the thumb insertion section.

Patent Document 1 shows a baseball catching tool that includes a cover body (first cover body 1 and second cover body 2) for forming a thumb insertion section H, and a finger hook body (finger hook section 3) for hooking a thumb F inserted into the thumb insertion section H. In this baseball catching tool, the finger hook body includes an abutment section (loop section 3c) that abuts against the thumb F from the little finger side, and two string-like sections (knot section 3b) extending from the abutment section, and the cover body includes two holes through which the two string-like sections are inserted from the inside to the outside of the cover body. In light of this situation, the main objective of the present invention is to provide a baseball catching tool that allows easy adjustment of the tightness of the regulating body.

The first characteristic configuration of the present invention comprises a cover body for forming a thumb insertion section, and a finger hook body for hanging the inserted thumb, which is the thumb inserted into the thumb insertion section. The direction along which the inserted thumb runs is defined as the insertion/removal direction, and the side on which the little finger is present relative to the inserted thumb is defined as the little finger side. The finger hook body comprises an abutment part that abuts against the inserted thumb from the little finger side, and three string-like parts, a first string-like part, a second string-like part, and a third string-like part, extending from the abutment part. The cover body comprises a first hole through which the first string-like part is inserted from the inside to the outside of the cover body, and a second string-like part that is inserted from the inside to the outside of the cover body. The cover has a second hole through which the third string-like portion is passed, and a third hole through which the third string-like portion is passed from the inside to the outside of the cover body, and the second string-like portion and the third string-like portion are provided in a state of being lined up in the insertion/removal direction at a position between the base of the insertion thumb and the tip of the insertion thumb in the insertion/removal direction, the second string-like portion inserted in the second hole and the third string-like portion inserted in the third hole are tied together, the first string-like portion is provided in a position corresponding to the base of the insertion thumb in the insertion/removal direction, and the first string-like portion inserted in the first hole is not tied to the second string-like portion and the third string-like portion.

According to this configuration, by tying together the second string-like portion inserted through the second hole and the third string-like portion inserted through the third hole, the finger hook can be held on the cover without tying the first string-like portion, and the insertion thumb can be hooked on the finger hook held on the cover. And, since the first string-like portion is not tied when the finger hook is held on the cover as described above, the first string-like portion can be operated without tying or untying the string-like portion. Therefore, the degree of contact of the abutment portion with the base of the insertion thumb can be adjusted simply by pulling the first string-like portion inserted through the first hole from the outside of the cover. In this way, it is possible to adjust the degree of hooking of the insertion thumb by the finger hook without retying the second string-like portion and the third string-like portion.

The second characteristic feature of the present invention is that at least the first string-like portion of the three string-like portions is formed as a flat string, and the side where the base portion is present with respect to the tip portion of the insertion thumb in the insertion/removal direction is defined as the base side, and the first hole is formed as an elongated hole located closer to the little finger as it approaches the base side.

With this configuration, the connection part where the first string-like part is connected in the abutment part is likely to be oriented along the base of the insertion thumb, reducing pain and discomfort at the base when the first string-like part is pulled or when the insertion thumb is moved toward the little finger.

The third characteristic feature of the present invention is that the first string-like portion is formed to have a length shorter than the second string-like portion and the third string-like portion.

With this configuration, the first string-like portion is shorter than the second and third string-like portions, so the untied first string-like portion is less likely to get in the way compared to when the first string-like portion is formed to the same length as the second and third string-like portions.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of a baseball catching tool according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
As shown in Fig. 1, baseball catching tool 1 is comprised of catching tool main body 2, catching web 3, and finger hook 4. Catching tool main body 2 is formed like a glove having thumb insertion section 6 for inserting the thumb, index finger insertion section 7 for inserting the index finger, middle finger insertion section 8 for inserting the middle finger, ring finger insertion section (not shown) for inserting the ring finger, and little finger insertion section 10 for inserting the little finger. Catching web 3 is disposed between thumb insertion section 6 and index finger insertion section 7, and is connected to catching tool main body 2 by a leather string. Finger hook 4 is a member for hooking inserted thumb F, which is the thumb inserted into thumb insertion section 6, and is disposed inside thumb insertion section 6.

The configuration of the ball catching tool main body 2, and in particular the configuration of the thumb insertion section 6 of the ball catching tool main body 2, will be described below. As shown in Figures 2 to 4, the finger hook 4 has an abutment portion 21 that abuts against the little finger side Y1 of the insertion thumb F, and three string-like portions 22, a first string-like portion 22a, a second string-like portion 22b, and a third string-like portion 22c, that extend from the abutment portion 21. Of the three string-like portions 22, at least the first string-like portion 22a is formed in a flat string shape. In this embodiment, in addition to the first string-like portion 22a, the second string-like portion 22b and the third string-like portion 22c are also formed in a flat string shape. Note that the flat string shape is such that the width of the string-like portion 22 in the insertion/removal direction X is greater than its thickness.

As shown in FIG. 4, the second string-like portion 22b and the third string-like portion 22c are formed to have the same length, and the first string-like portion 22a is formed to have a length shorter than the second string-like portion 22b and the third string-like portion 22c. In addition, the first string-like portion 22a, the second string-like portion 22b, and the third string-like portion 22c are formed to have the same width.

As shown in Figs. 2 to 4, the finger hook 4 has a connecting portion 23 in addition to the contact portion 21 and the three string-like portions 22. The connecting portion 23 is a portion that is connected to the inner bag 13, and the finger hook 4 is connected to the inner bag 13 by connecting the connecting portion 23 to the inner bag 13. In this embodiment, the connecting portion 23 is composed of three connecting string portions, a first connecting string portion 23a, a second connecting string portion 23b, and a third connecting string portion 23c. The first connecting string portion 23a, the second connecting string portion 23b, and the third connecting string portion 23c are all formed in a flat string shape.

As shown in Figures 1 and 5, the back-side skin 14 has a first hole 14a through which the first string-like portion 22a is inserted from the inside to the outside of the back-side skin 14, a second hole 14b through which the second string-like portion 22b is inserted from the inside to the outside of the back-side skin 14, and a third hole 14c through which the third string-like portion 22c is inserted from the inside to the outside of the back-side skin 14. The inside of the back-side skin 14 is the side of the back-side skin 14 on which the insertion thumb F is located, and is the same side as the palm side Z2. The outside of the back-side skin 14 is the same side as the back side Z1, which is opposite the palm side Z2.

The first hole 14a, the second hole 14b, and the third hole 14c are arranged in the order of the first hole 14a, the second hole 14b, and the third hole 14c from the base side X1 to the tip side X2. The first hole 14a is formed as an elongated hole located on the little finger side Y1 as it approaches the base side X1. In other words, the first hole 14a is formed in the back side outer skin 14 with its longitudinal direction tilted with respect to the insertion/removal direction X, and is provided in a state in which it is easy to fit along the surface of the base part F1 of the insertion thumb F facing the little finger side Y1. The second hole 14b and the third hole 14c are formed in the back side outer skin 14 with their longitudinal directions parallel to the insertion/removal direction X, or with a smaller inclination with respect to the insertion/removal direction X than the first hole 14a.

As shown in FIG. 5, the back-side outer skin 14 has a fourth hole 14d through which the first string-like portion 22a is inserted from the outside to the inside of the back-side outer skin 14, and a fifth hole 14e through which the first string-like portion 22a is inserted from the inside to the outside of the back-side outer skin 14. The first hole 14a, the fourth hole 14d, and the fifth hole 14e are arranged in this order from the little finger side Y1 to the thumb side Y2. The fourth hole 14d and the fifth hole 14e are formed in the back-side outer skin 14 in a position parallel to the first hole 14a.

2 and 3, the thumb member 18 has a first insertion hole 18a through which the first string-like portion 22a is inserted from the inside to the outside of the thumb member 18, a second insertion hole 18b through which the second string-like portion 22b is inserted from the inside to the outside of the thumb member 18, and a third insertion hole 18c through which the third string-like portion 22c is inserted from the inside to the outside of the thumb member 18. The first insertion hole 18a is formed at a position where it at least partially overlaps with the first hole 14a. The third insertion hole 18c is formed at a position where it at least partially overlaps with the third hole 14c.

The base material 16 has a connecting portion 26 to which the connecting portion 23 of the finger hook 4 is connected. The connecting portion 26 has three connecting holes 13a through which the three connecting strings, the first connecting string 23a, the second connecting string 23b, and the third connecting string 23c, are inserted. The finger hook 4 has the first connecting string 23a, the second connecting string 23b, and the third connecting string 23c inserted through the connecting holes 13a from the back side Z1 to the palm side Z2, and these first connecting string 23a, second connecting string 23b, and third connecting string 23c are connected to the palm side Z2 surface of the base material 16.

Although not shown in the figure, from the base side X1 to the tip side X2, the connecting hole 13a through which the first connecting string part 23a passes, the connecting hole 13a through which the second connecting string part 23b passes, and the connecting hole 13a through which the third connecting string part 23c passes are arranged in this order. The connecting hole 13a through which the first connecting string part 23a passes is formed as an elongated hole located on the little finger side Y1 as it approaches the base side X1.

As shown in FIG. 1, the second string-like portion 22b and the third string-like portion 22c are arranged side by side in the insertion/removal direction X at a position between the base F1 of the insertion thumb F and the tip F2 of the insertion thumb F. The second string-like portion 22b inserted through the second hole 14b and the third string-like portion 22c inserted through the third hole 14c are tied together on the outside of the back-side outer skin 14. In more detail, the second string-like portion 22b inserted through the second insertion hole 18b and the second hole 14b and the third string-like portion 22c inserted through the third insertion hole 18c and the third hole 14c are tied together on the outside of the back-side outer skin 14 to form a knot 27.

The first string-like portion 22a is provided at a position corresponding to the base F1 of the insertion thumb F in the insertion/removal direction X. In other words, the first string-like portion 22a is provided on the base side X1 from the second string-like portion 22b and the third string-like portion 22c. The first string-like portion 22a inserted through the first hole 14a is not tied to the second string-like portion 22b and the third string-like portion 22c. In detail, the first string-like portion 22a inserted through the first insertion hole 18a and the first hole 14a is inserted through the fourth hole 14d and inserted from the outside to the inside of the back-side outer skin 14, and then passed between the back-side outer skin 14 and the thumb member 18 toward the thumb side Y2, and then inserted through the fifth hole 14e and inserted from the inside to the outside of the back-side outer skin 14.

In this way, the first string-like portion 22a is held on the back-side outer skin 14 by the frictional force caused by inserting the first string-like portion 22a through the first hole 14a, the fourth hole 14d, the fifth hole 14e, etc. By holding the first string-like portion 22a in this way, the first string-like portion 22a is less likely to move from the first hole 14a to the inside of the back-side outer skin 14 than when the first string-like portion 22a is inserted only through the first hole 14a of the first hole 14a, the fourth hole 14d, and the fifth hole 14e. In addition, since the first string-like portion 22a is only held by the frictional force caused by inserting it through these holes, the first string-like portion 22a is more likely to move in and out of the back-side outer skin 14 through the first hole 14a than when the first string-like portion 22a is tied together like the second string-like portion 22b and the third string-like portion 22c.

As described above, when the finger hook 4 is held on the back-side outer skin 14, the first string-like portion 22a is not tied, so the first string-like portion 22a can be operated without tying or untying the string-like portion 22. Therefore, the degree of contact of the contact portion 21 with the base portion F1 of the insertion thumb F can be adjusted simply by pulling the first string-like portion 22a inserted through the first hole 14a from the outside of the back-side outer skin 14. For example, the second string-like portion 22b and the third string-like portion 22c may be formed to have different lengths, or the first string-like portion 22a may be formed to have the same length as the second string-like portion 22b and the third string-like portion 22c. The length relationship between the first string-like portion 22a, the second string-like portion 22b, and the third string-like portion 22c may be changed as appropriate.

(3) In the above embodiment, a configuration in which the finger hook 4 has only three string-like portions 22 has been described as an example. However, the present invention is not limited to such a configuration. In other words, the finger hook 4 needs to have at least three string-like portions 22, and the finger hook 4 may have four or more string-like portions 22, such as a fourth string-like portion in addition to the first string-like portion 22a, the second string-like portion 22b, and the third string-like portion 22c.

(4) In the above embodiment, the first cord-like portion 22a is formed in a flat cord shape. However, the present invention is not limited to such a configuration. For example, the shape of the first cord-like portion 22a may be changed as appropriate, such as by forming the first cord-like portion 22a in a round cord shape with the same width and thickness. Similarly, the shapes of the second cord-like portion 22b and the third cord-like portion 22c may also be changed as appropriate.

(5) In the above embodiment, the first hole 14a to the fifth hole 14e are elongated holes. However, the present invention is not limited to such a configuration. For example, some or all of the first hole 14a to the fifth hole 14e may be round holes.

A baseball catching tool comprising: a cover body for forming a thumb insertion portion; and a finger hook for hooking an insertion thumb, which is a thumb inserted into the thumb insertion portion;
