2 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of a butt joint showing the state during opening and closing of the first screen in the fitting shown in FIG. 1. FIG.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
Fig. 1 is a front view of one embodiment of a fitting according to the present invention, showing the fitting as seen from the indoor side. This fitting 1 is equipped with four shoji screens 3-6 inside a rectangular frame body 2 formed by an upper horizontal frame 21, a lower horizontal frame 22, and a pair of left and right vertical frames 23, 23. Fig. 1 shows the state in which these four shoji screens 3-6 are all closed. The fitting 1 is configured so that by closing the four shoji screens 3-6 in this way, the fitting 1 separates the indoor side from the outdoor side.

Of the four shoji screens 3 to 6, the two central shoji screens 4 and 5 are attached to the frame 2 so that they can slide left and right on the same rails (not shown) formed on the upper horizontal frame 21 and lower horizontal frame 22. The two shoji screens 3 and 6 at both ends are attached to the frame 2 so that they can slide left and right on the same rails (not shown) that are parallel to the outdoor side of the rails on which the central shoji screens 4 and 5 slide.

This fitting 1 is closed by butting the shoji screens 3, 6 at both ends against the vertical frames 23, 23, respectively, and butting the shoji screens 4, 5 located on the indoor side of these shoji screens 3, 6 together in the center of the fitting 1. In the closed state, a butt joint 10 between the shoji screens 4 and 5 is formed in the center of the fitting 1. In this fitting 1, of the two shoji screens 4, 5 located in the center, the shoji screen 5 on the right side (in Fig. 1) corresponds to the first shoji screen of the present invention, and the other shoji screen 4 on the left side (in Fig. 1) corresponds to the second shoji screen of the present invention.

The shoji screen 4 is framed in a rectangle by an upper frame 41 and a lower frame 42 that extend horizontally, a butt frame 43 that is a vertical frame extending vertically on the door end side of the shoji screen 4 (right side in Fig. 1), and a vertical frame 44 that extends vertically on the door end side of the shoji screen 4 (left side in Fig. 1), and the glass G is housed inside. The shoji screen 5 is framed in a rectangle by an upper frame 51 and a lower frame 52 that extend horizontally, a butt frame 53 that is a vertical frame extending vertically on the door end side of the shoji screen 5 (left side in Fig. 1), and a vertical frame 54 that extends vertically on the door end side of the shoji screen 5 (right side in Fig. 1), and the glass G is housed inside. The butt frame 43 of the shoji screen 4 in Fig. 1 is hidden by the butt frame 53 of the shoji screen 5, which will be described in detail later, and cannot be seen. The central shoji screens 4 and 5 are closed by butting their respective butt frames 43 and 53 together, and the butt frame 10 is formed by the butt frames 43 and 53 that are butted together in the center.

The shoji screens 3 and 6 are framed in a rectangle by upper and lower frames 31 and 61, which extend horizontally, and vertical frames 33, 34, 63 and 64, which extend vertically. In Fig. 1, the vertical frame 33 located on the door end side of the shoji screen 3 (right side in Fig. 1) is hidden by the vertical frame 44 of the shoji screen 4 and is not visible. The vertical frame 63 located on the door end side of the shoji screen 6 (left side in Fig. 1) is hidden by the vertical frame 54 of the shoji screen 5 and is not visible. The vertical frames 34 and 64 of the shoji screens 3 and 6 have handles 35 and 65 for opening and closing the screen recessed on the indoor and outdoor sides along the extension direction of the vertical frames 34 and 64 (up and down direction in Fig. 1).

Crescent locks 7, 7 are attached to the vertical middle of the fitting 1, spanning shoji screens 3 and 4, and shoji screens 5 and 6, respectively, to lock both screens. In addition, auxiliary locking mechanisms 8, 8 are attached to the bottom frames 32, 62 of the shoji screens 3, 6, respectively, to lock shoji screens 4 and 5.

Next, the general shape of the shoji screens 4 and 5 and the opening and closing operation of the shoji screen 5 will be described with reference to Fig. 2. Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram for explaining the opening and closing operation of the fitting 1, and shows the shoji screens 3 to 6 in a plan view. In Fig. 2, the illustration of the two rails along which the shoji screens 3 to 6 slide is omitted.
The butt frame 43 arranged on the door end side of the shoji screen 4 is formed in a shape that protrudes toward the outdoor side in the projection direction (the indoor/outdoor direction, the up-down direction in Fig. 2). Specifically, the butt frame 43 protrudes in a substantially vertical direction toward the outdoor side, and the protruding portion is formed in a shape displaced toward the shoji screen 5 so as to cover the outdoor side visible surface 53b (see Fig. 3) of the butt frame 53 of the shoji screen 5.

The vertical frame 44 on the end side of the shoji screen 4 is formed in a shape that protrudes toward the indoor side in the front direction. Specifically, the vertical frame 44 protrudes in a substantially vertical direction toward the indoor side, opposite to the butt frame 43. This vertical frame 44 is positioned so that it overlaps with the vertical frame 33 of the shoji screen 3, thereby obscuring the vertical frame 33 of the shoji screen 3 from the indoor side.

On the other hand, the butt frame 53 located on the door end of the shoji screen 5 is formed in a shape that protrudes toward the indoor side in the projection direction, the opposite of the butt frame 43 of the shoji screen 4. Specifically, the butt frame 53 protrudes so as to protrude in a substantially vertical direction toward the indoor side, and the protruding portion is formed in a shape displaced toward the shoji screen 4 so as to cover the indoor side visible surface 43b (see Figure 3) of the butt frame 43 of the shoji screen 4.

The vertical frame 54 on the end side of the shoji screen 5 is also formed in a shape that protrudes toward the indoor side in the projection direction, just like the butt frame 53. Specifically, the vertical frame 54 protrudes almost vertically toward the indoor side, just like the butt frame 53. The vertical frame 54 of this shoji screen 5 is positioned so that it overlaps with the vertical frame 63 of the shoji screen 6, thereby obscuring the vertical frame 63 of the shoji screen 6 from the indoor side.

When opening and closing the shoji screen 5 from inside the house, the butt frame 53 of the shoji screen 5 that protrudes inside the house is grasped with the hand and slid in the direction of the outlined arrow. In other words, the sliding movement of the shoji screen 5 is performed by grasping the butt frame 53 with the hand.

Next, the specific structure of the butt frames 43, 53 of the shoji screens 4, 5 will be described with reference to FIG. 3. FIG. 3 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the butt portion 10 of the shoji screens 4 and 5 in the fitting 1 shown in FIG. 1. In FIG. 3, the shoji screens 4 and 5 are arranged so that they can slide on the same rail 221.

The butt frame 43 of the shoji screen 4 is extruded from a metal material such as aluminum, and houses three pieces of glass G spaced apart by spacers S, via a gasket 4a. The butt face 43a of the butt frame 43 (the face that butts against the shoji screen 5) has an integral vertical wall 431 that rises roughly vertically toward the shoji screen 5. The visible face 43b on the indoor side of the butt frame 43 is covered by a resin cover 432. This gives the shoji screen 4 excellent thermal insulation.

The butt frame 43 has an integral frame covering portion 433 that protrudes toward the outdoor side. The frame covering portion 433 is formed along the extension direction of the butt frame 43 (the vertical direction in FIG. 1). The frame covering portion 433 has a first wall portion 433a that rises approximately perpendicular to the surface of the glass G of the shoji screen 4 (the surface of the glass G facing the outdoor side), a second wall portion 433b that bends from the outdoor end of the first wall portion 433a toward the shoji screen 5 side and extends approximately parallel to the surface of the glass G of the shoji screen 4, a third wall portion 433c that bends from the end of the second wall portion 433b toward the shoji screen 5 side and extends approximately parallel to the first wall portion 433a, and a fourth wall portion 433d that extends from the end of the third wall portion 433c toward the butt surface 43a, and has a substantially rectangular cross section.

The surface of the second wall portion 433b forms the outdoor facing surface of the butt frame 43 and the frame covering portion 433. This second wall portion 433b protrudes further toward the shoji 5 side than the butt surface 43a of the butt frame 43. The second wall portion 433b extends farther toward the shoji 5 side than the butt surface 43a, and essentially covers and conceals the entire outdoor facing surface 53b of the butt frame 53 of the shoji 5. As a result, the outdoor side of the butt frame 43 is displaced toward the shoji 5 side. Therefore, when the fitting 1 is observed from the outdoor side, the width of the butt portion 10 is narrow, substantially the width of the facing surface of the butt frame 43 of the shoji 4 (the width of the second wall portion 433b), improving the design of the fitting 1.

The butt frame 53 of the shoji screen 5 also houses three pieces of glass G spaced apart by spacers S, via a gasket 5a. The outdoor-facing face 53b of the butt frame 53 extends further toward the shoji screen 4 than the butt face 53a, and overlaps with the vertical wall portion 431 formed on the butt face 53a of the butt frame 43 of the shoji screen 4. A first airtight material 531 is attached to the tip of the extended face 53b, sealing the space between it and the vertical wall portion 431.

The butt frame 53 also has a frame covering part 533 that protrudes toward the indoor side at the indoor end of the butt surface 53a via a bridge part 532 for insulation. The frame covering part 533 is connected to the bridge part 532 and is composed of a frame covering part main body 534 that is integrally extruded from a metal material such as aluminum, and a resin cover 535 that covers the outside of the frame covering part main body 534.

The frame covering body 534 is integrally formed with a first wall portion 534a that rises in a direction substantially perpendicular to the surface of the glass G of the shoji screen 5 (the surface of the glass G facing the interior), a second wall portion 534b that bends from the outdoor end of the first wall portion 534a toward the shoji screen 4 side and extends substantially parallel to the surface of the glass G of the shoji screen 5, a third wall portion 534c that bends from the shoji screen 4 side end of the second wall portion 534b toward the outdoor side and extends substantially parallel to the first wall portion 534a, a fourth wall portion 534d that bends from the outdoor end of the third wall portion 534c toward the shoji screen 5 side and extends substantially parallel to the second wall portion 534b, and a fifth wall portion 534e that bends from the shoji screen 5 side end of the fourth wall portion 534d toward the outdoor side and is connected to the bridge portion 532.

Of these, the second wall portion 534b protrudes further toward the shoji 4 side than the abutment surface 53a of the butt frame 53. The second wall portion 534b extends largely parallel to the surface of the glass G toward the shoji 4 side, and substantially covers and conceals almost the entirety of the resin cover 432 that constitutes the outdoor-facing visible surface 43b of the butt frame 43 of the shoji 4. This gives the butt frame 53 a shape that is displaced toward the shoji 4 side. The resin cover 535 of the butt frame 53 covers the outside (indoor side) of the first wall portion 534a, the second wall portion 534b, and the third wall portion 534c. Therefore, when the fitting 1 is observed from the indoor side, the width of the butt joint 10 is narrow, as shown in FIG. 1, and is essentially the same as the width of the visible surface of the butt frame 53 of the shoji screen 5 (the indoor surface of the resin cover 535), improving the design of the fitting 1. In addition, by having the resin cover 535, the shoji screen 5 has excellent heat insulation properties.

A second airtight material 536 is housed in the butt surface 53a of the butt frame 53, sealing the gap between the butt surfaces 43a, 53a of the butt frames 43, 53.

A large space 100 is provided between the fourth wall portion 534d and the resin cover 432 of the butt frame 43 of the shoji screen 4. This space 100 is provided in the area where the frame covering portion 533 of the butt frame 53 of the shoji screen 5 faces the indoor facing surface 43b of the butt frame 43 of the shoji screen 4. Specifically, this space 100 is large enough for a finger to be inserted when grasping the frame covering portion 533 when opening or closing the shoji screen 5.

A buffer member 9 made of an elastic material such as rubber is provided in this space 100. In this embodiment, the buffer member 9 is attached to the outdoor surface of the fourth wall portion 534d of the frame covering portion 533 so as to protrude toward the indoor surface 43b of the butt frame 43. The buffer member 9 extends approximately parallel to the door tip surface 533a arranged on the shoji 4 side of the frame covering portion 533, and has a side portion 91 arranged approximately flush with the door tip surface 533a. Therefore, the buffer member 9 is arranged in the space 100 so as to be exposed on the door tip surface 533a toward the shoji 4 side (left side in FIG. 3). Since the side portion 91 is approximately flush with the door tip surface 533a, it functions to block the space 100 when the shoji 4 and 5 are closed, as shown in FIG. 3. Therefore, there is no risk of impairing the design of the butt portion 10 from the indoor side.

As shown in FIG. 3, the cushioning member 9 has an integral protruding piece 92 that abuts against the indoor facing surface 43b (resin cover 432) of the butt frame 43 when the screens 4 and 5 are closed. This allows the cushioning member 9 to also function as a third airtight material that seals the gap with the indoor facing surface 43b of the butt frame 43.

The cushioning member 9 further has a hollow section 93. Therefore, the cushioning member 9 has excellent shape retention due to the air inside the hollow section 93, and does not impair the design, and when an external force is applied, the hollow section 93 (air) is compressed, allowing the cushioning member 9 to deform with appropriate elasticity (cushioning properties).

As shown in FIG. 4, when the butt frame 53 of the shoji screen 5 having this buffer member 9 is grasped by hand to open or close the screen, the fingertips come into contact with the side surface 91 of the buffer member 9. At this time, the buffer member 9 allows the opening/closing operator to easily recognize that the fingertips are resting on the side surface 91 of the buffer member 9 (not in a position where the fingers will be pinched). This makes it possible to prevent the fingers from being pinched between the butt frame 53 and the visible surface 43b on the indoor side of the shoji screen 4 when the shoji screen 4, 5 are closed while grasping the butt frame 53. Also, even if the opening/closing operator's fingers get too close to the visible surface 43b on the indoor side of the shoji screen 4, the buffer member 9 easily elastically deforms, so there is no risk of injuring the fingers, and operability is improved.

The cushioning member 9 may be attached to the visible surface 43b on the indoor side of the shoji screen 4, but as shown in this embodiment, if it is attached to the butt frame 53 side of the shoji screen 5, the cushioning member 9 will not be exposed to the indoor side when the shoji screen 4 or 5 is opened, and will not be directly visible from the indoor side, further improving the design of the fitting 1.

The shoji screens 3 and 6 arranged at both ends of the fitting 1 shown in FIG. 1 may be immovably fixed to the frame 2. Furthermore, the number of shoji screens of the fitting 1 in the present invention is not limited to four, and it is sufficient that at least two shoji screens are butted together to be closed.
