Description
To provide a metal accessory for use as a low-cost, aesthetically pleasing accessory, in which a plate-like body is formed into a wavy surface and a rugged pattern of fine lines is applied to the wavy surface.
When trying to produce general jewelry parts by casting, i.e. a casting method using resin wax, the cast product is finished in an annealed state, so the material does not have sufficient hardness, and thin or long pieces tend to lack strength, so production with this method is avoided.
For this reason, attempts have been made to obtain jewelry parts by a press manufacturing method in which a plate-shaped body is pressed between a pair of dies. For example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 2003-25024 (see Patent Document 1) discloses a surface processing method for ornamental parts, in which a pair of facing dies are brought close to each other to clamp one or more ornamental parts between the facing parts, and at least one of the dies is rotated in the circumferential direction to roll the ornamental part between the dies, while a fine uneven pattern is formed on the surface of the ornamental part by a large number of protrusions formed on the facing parts of the dies.
However, in casting , fine lines perpendicular to the processed surface on the surface of the plate-shaped body can be provided at the mass production stage, but in the press manufacturing method, fine lines engraved perpendicular to the processed surface can only be processed later.
In the case of the conventional press manufacturing method described above, roughening of small decorative parts is essentially a process called "pear-skin" processing, which merely removes the surface gloss. Since the irregularities used to roughen the surface are extremely fine and the rough surface layer is shallow, even if a pear-skin pattern is created during the processing process, it often disappears partially in the subsequent finishing process.
Furthermore, even if a press manufacturing method were to be applied, the press molds used in the press manufacturing method are expensive, which would result in a significant increase in costs in order to obtain high-quality metal jewelry .
The metal ornament of the present invention is characterized in that it comprises a plate-shaped body that has been processed to have a wavy surface shape, and that the wavy surface shape of the plate-shaped body is formed with a bumpy pattern made up of extremely fine lines.
The metallic ornament of the present invention is also characterized in that the metallic ornament is produced by casting .
The metallic ornament of the present invention is also characterized in that the plate-like main body constituting the metallic ornament has a thickness of 1.0 mm or less, preferably 0.3 mm or less.
The metal ornament of the present invention is further characterized in that the extremely fine lines constituting the uneven pattern formed on the wavy surface shape of the plate-like body have a width of 0.2 mm or less and a height of 0.2 mm or less.
Next, the effects obtained by the metal jewelry of the present invention are listed as follows.
1) The cost of producing a mass production mold is low.
In other words, since it can be manufactured using only one injection mold compared to a press mold (which requires two or more molds for punching and drawing), it can be manufactured in about 1/10 the size.2) By forming the plate body so that it has a wavy surface shape, even a thin plate with an extremely small thickness obtained by casting can have practical strength.
3) By adding a fine-line uneven pattern to the wavy surface shape of the plate-like body, the light reflection intensity is varied, and the surface has more visual depth (contrast difference) compared to a case where only the wavy surface shape is provided, resulting in a more attractive appearance.
4) Since less raw materials are used, cheaper products can be produced.
5) Compared to the press method, products can be manufactured with fewer steps and in a shorter time.
6) Because it is done by casting , the cost of material recycling is low, and as a result, the overall manufacturing cost of the product can be kept low. In other words, in material recycling by casting, the scrap material is used as is, so recycling is possible within the factory that owns the casting equipment, but in material recycling by the pressing method, most manufacturers outsource the work to a rolling specialist, which increases costs.
7) With the press manufacturing method, additional decorations such as stone settings and rings require separate production and post-processing by soldering, but with casting , the decorations can be installed on the original model in advance, making it possible to produce products with fewer steps and in a shorter time.
