Description
The present invention relates to a packaging bag for pet urine disposal materials.
As a urine disposal material for pets, especially a urine disposal material for cats, the one described in Patent Document 1 is known, for example.
Patent Document 1 discloses that by containing two types of clay minerals with different properties and a predetermined phosphorus atom-containing component in a predetermined ratio, the amount of solidification is small and there is no stickiness even if the amount of minerals used is reduced. It is described that the deodorizing properties of ammonia odor can be improved without forming lumps and deteriorating the deodorizing properties of mercaptans.
A general method of using pet urine disposal materials will be explained. First, pour the treatment material sealed in a packaging bag into a toilet container placed on the ground, and every time your pet urinates, remove the agglomerated and solidified material (treatment material that has absorbed urine and solidified) with a shovel, etc. , the amount of processing material used for coagulation and solidification is poured in to replenish the reduced amount of processing material. Regarding the timing for owners to replenish the treatment material, from the viewpoint of hygiene for the owner and pet, and from the viewpoint of preventing the occurrence of bad odors caused by urine, it is recommended that the owner replenish the treatment material every time they normally urinate (or every time they urinate infrequently). However, it is being done. The amount of treatment material to be replenished is adjusted depending on the composition of the raw material of the urine treatment material used, but for example, the mass of the treatment material itself used for one urination and discarded (the mass without urine) ) is generally about 5g to 50g. Therefore, the owner replenishes a relatively small amount of treatment material (for example, about 10 to 100 g for one or two urinations) each time the pet urinates.
Such pet urine disposal materials are generally sold in a form sealed in a packaging bag, and the volume of the bag is usually large (for example, 5 to 10 liters).
When a large capacity pet urine disposal material (hereinafter also simply referred to as "urination disposal material") is enclosed in a packaging bag, it becomes heavy and difficult to transport. Therefore, considering the convenience of transportation, we investigated packaging bags equipped with grips.
When I placed the urine disposal material in a packaging bag with a grip, held the grip with one hand, and poured it into a toilet container placed on the ground. In some cases, the tube bends, making it difficult to pour in the desired amount of treatment material (for example, the amount used for one urination and discarded). Particularly, when the amount of urine treatment material in the packaging bag decreases, the lower part of the bag tends to bend, which sometimes makes it difficult to pour in the desired amount of urine treatment material. In addition, when pouring urine disposal material into a toilet container placed on the ground, the work is often done in a bent position, so it is easier to pour the desired amount of urine disposal material into the toilet container. There is a possibility that it may not be possible.
An object of the present invention is to provide a packaging bag for pet urine disposal material with a grip, which allows the user to easily pour a desired amount of urine disposal material into the packaging bag, regardless of the amount of urine disposal material in the packaging bag. Specifically, for example, toilet sand described in Patent Document 1 (pet litter containing two types of clay minerals with different properties and a predetermined phosphorus atom-containing component in a predetermined ratio), bentonite, Examples include corn cob flour and toilet litter containing a binding agent.
The shape of the urine treatment material is not particularly limited, and examples include spherical, cylindrical, flaky, corrugated plate, and pellet shapes. Among these, from the viewpoint of ease of pouring into a toilet container and handling, cylindrical or pellet-shaped ones are preferred, and cylindrical ones are more preferred.

By setting the bulk density of the urine treatment material within the above range, it becomes easier to pour a desired amount of the urine treatment material into the toilet container.
The bulk density of the urine disposal material can be determined, for example, by placing a sample in a container of a specific capacity, scraping the top surface horizontally, and measuring the weight of the sample.

The angle of repose of the urine treatment material is more preferably 35° or more, and more preferably 75° or less. By setting the angle of repose of the urine treatment material within the above range, it becomes easier to pour a desired amount of the urine treatment material into the toilet container. Generally, the size of urine disposal materials made from clay tends to be small, and its angle of repose is 30° or more and less than 50°, while the size of urine disposal materials made from paper tends to be larger. The angle of repose is 50° or more and 80° or less.
The angle of repose of urine treatment materials tends to differ depending on the raw material; for example, those made from paper tend to have a larger angle of repose than those made from clay.
The angle of repose can be measured by the following method.
Place a measuring device with a horizontal lid and an angle scale on a flat surface, and with the side lid of the measuring device closed, pour the urine disposal material from the top of the measuring device. Fill it up to the specified position in a heaping manner. Next, the side lid is gently opened and the filled urine treatment material is naturally discharged by gravity. Thereafter, the angle of repose (°) can be measured by reading the angle (angle of inclination) between the surface of the urine treatment material remaining in the measuring device and the horizontal plane from the scale.

From the viewpoint of making it easier to pour the desired amount of urine disposal material into the toilet container, when the diameter of the urine disposal material is 2 mm or more and 10 mm or less and its angle of repose is 30° or more and less than 50°, Aspect (Aspect 1) in which the angle θ1 is 20° or more and less than 45°, and when the diameter of the urine treatment material is 2 mm or more and 10 mm or less and its angle of repose is 50° or more and 80° or less, the angle θ1 is 5°. An aspect (aspect 2) in which the angle is greater than or equal to 20° is preferable. In addition, in the case where the urine treatment material has a cylindrical shape and the diameter of the urine treatment material made from clay is 2 mm or more and 7 mm or less, an aspect (aspect 1) in which the angle θ1 is 20 degrees or more and less than 45 degrees. When the diameter of the urine treatment material made from paper is 4 mm or more and 10 mm or less, an aspect (aspect 2) in which the angle θ1 is 5 degrees or more and less than 20 degrees is preferable.

The following examples are provided to suitably illustrate the present invention, but are not intended to limit the present invention. Note that the measurement methods for physical property values, etc. are the measurement methods described above, unless otherwise specified.
[The bulk density]
The bulk density of the urine treatment material can be determined by gently placing the urine treatment material (sample) in a heaped pile in a 1L (1000 cm 3 ) stainless steel container, scraping the top surface horizontally, and measuring the weight of the sample. , the bulk density was determined.
[Measurement of diameter (average value) and length (average value) of urine disposal material]
Fifty grains were randomly taken from the urine disposal material (sample), and the diameter and length of the urine disposal material were measured using calipers. The average values of the diameter and length of the urine disposal material obtained were rounded to the second decimal place to determine the diameter and length of the urine disposal material.
[Measurement of angle of repose (average value)]
Place an acrylic measuring device with a horizontal lid and angle scale (for example, height 10cm x depth 10cm x width 3cm) on a flat surface, and with the side lid of the measuring device closed, take the measurement. Pour the urine treatment material from a height of 1 to 2 cm above the top of the device, and fill it in a heaped manner to a position of 0 to 1 cm below the top of the device. Next, the side lid is gently opened and the filled urine treatment material is naturally discharged by gravity. Thereafter, the angle (angle of inclination) between the surface of the urine treatment material remaining in the measuring device and the horizontal plane is read from the scale and taken as the angle of repose (°).
Measurements were performed three times according to the method described above, and the average value was calculated.
