Description

The present invention relates to an electric wire binding device for bundling a plurality of electric wires, each of which has a connector connected to its tip and constitutes a wire harness, near the tip.

A large number of wire harnesses are used in vehicles, and these wire harnesses are composed of multiple electric wires of various lengths each with a connector connected to the tip. Some wire harnesses are connected to body panels that make up the vehicle body. The cable is inserted through a through hole provided in the cable.

At this time, as shown in FIG. 9, when inserting, for example, a wire harness 53 consisting of two electric wires 53a and 53b of different lengths into a circular through hole 52 provided in a vehicle body panel 51, two Insert both wires 53a, 53b into the through hole 52 from the connectors 54a, 54b side with both wires 53a, 53b bundled with tape 55 near the connectors 54a, 54b at the tips of the wires 53a, 53b, respectively, After the insertion is completed, both or only one of the connectors 54a and 54b is connected to the mating connector. Note that the tape 55 used has slits so that it can be easily removed.

However, since the through-hole 52 transparently provided in the vehicle body panel 51 is set to the minimum necessary size, when both the electric wires 53a and 53b are inserted through the through-hole 52, the longer electric wire 53a can be inserted without any problem. Even if the connector 54b can be inserted, the connector 54b of the shorter wire 53b may get caught on the periphery of the through-hole 52, resulting in deformation such as the tip of the wire 53b being bent. Not only is there a risk of scratching and damage, but it may also be necessary to remove the tape 55.

Therefore, as described in Patent Document 1, the connectors of the plurality of wire groups are held tightly bound together using a band-like binding device equipped with a hook-and-loop fastener so that the connectors do not come apart, and the wires are inserted into the through-hole. It has been considered to allow each electric wire to be inserted into the through hole without damaging any of the connectors.

JP-A-11-89057 (see paragraphs 0010 to 0014 and Figures 1 to 3)

However, the binding device described in Patent Document 1 mentioned above is dedicated to binding multiple groups of electric wires and is intended to be used repeatedly, and the groups of electric wires are usually used in the wire harness manufacturing department. The wires are bundled using binding tools and transported to the assembly department and assembled into the vehicle. After the wires are inserted through the through holes, the binding tools are removed and returned to the wire harness manufacturing department. There is a problem in that the work cost for recovering the ingredients increases.

An object of the present invention is to enable an electric wire to be inserted into a through hole in a vehicle body panel with a simple and inexpensive configuration without damaging the connector at the tip of the electric wire constituting a wire harness.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the electric wire binding tool of the present invention is provided with a wire binding tool that allows each electric wire to be inserted into a through hole of a vehicle body panel, each of which has a connector connected to its tip and constitutes a wire harness. A binding device for electric wires that is bundled near a tip, comprising: a cylindrical part having a tapered shape where one end side is wider than the other end side; and a mounting part integrally provided at the narrowed other end of the cylindrical part. and a fastener for attaching the attachment part to the one electric wire in a state where the connector at the tip of the one electric wire is exposed; The present invention is characterized in that the one electric wire and the other electric wire are held in a bundled state in a state where the connector connected to the tip of the electric wire is removably inserted from the cylindrical portion .

According to the present invention, the cylindrical part has a tapered shape in which one end side is wider than the other end side, and the mounting part is integrally provided at the narrowed other end of the cylindrical part. With the connector at the tip of the wire exposed, the attachment part is attached to one wire using a fastener, and the connector at the tip of the other wire is inserted from the expanded end of the cylindrical section into the cylindrical section. It is inserted and housed so that it can be extracted from the cylindrical part , and one electric wire and the other electric wire are held in a bundled state. Therefore, when inserting one electric wire and other electric wires that make up a wire harness into a through-hole in a vehicle body panel, the connector and the other wires are inserted into the through-hole while the connectors for the other wires are housed in the cylindrical part of the binding tool. Since the connector inserted into the cylindrical part is inserted through the through hole, it can be prevented from getting caught or rubbed in the through hole, and the wire harness can be inserted into the through hole in the vehicle body panel without damaging any of the wire connectors. can do. Furthermore, after inserting the wire harness, all you have to do is pull out the connector from the cylindrical part and connect it to the mating connector, and then leave the binding tool attached to the first wire. Since there is no need to remove the binding device, there is no need to collect the binding device as in the past, which reduces costs. The simple and inexpensive configuration allows the wire harness to be easily attached to the vehicle body without damaging the connectors at the ends of the wires. The wire harness can be inserted through the through hole in the panel.

(First embodiment)
The electric wire binding tool according to the present invention is for bundling wire harnesses inserted through a through hole 52 provided in a vehicle body panel 51 shown in FIG. 9. For the first embodiment thereof, see FIGS. 1 to 3. This will be explained in detail. Note that FIG. 9 will also be referred to in the following description.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the wire harness 1 inserted into the through hole 52 (see FIG. 9) of the vehicle body panel 51 includes, for example, two different electric wires 1a, each having connectors Ca and Cb connected to their ends, respectively. 1b, and a binding tool 3 is used to bundle these electric wires 1a, 1b.

The binding tool 3 is made of flexible resin such as vinyl, and includes a cylindrical portion 3a and a mounting portion 3b. As shown in FIG. 2, the cylindrical portion 3a has a circular cross section and a tapered shape in which one end is wider than the other end. The diameter is set smaller than the diameter of the through hole 52 so that it can be inserted into the through hole 52. Furthermore, the attachment part 3b of the binding tool 3 is integrally provided at the other narrowed end of the cylindrical part 3a, and is attached to the vicinity of the tip of one electric wire 1a with a fastener 5 such as adhesive tape or a rubber tube. . At this time, one electric wire 1a is inserted into the cylindrical part 3a, the connector Ca is exposed from the binding tool 3, and the attachment part 3b is attached by the fastener 5 at a position slightly away from the exposed connector Ca. In addition, both electric wires 1a and 1b are bound with tape 6 etc. at a position further away from the connector Ca than the position where the binding tool 3 is attached, and the binding tool is attached in a state where it can be branched at the tip end side of the tape 6. It is bundled by 3.

Then, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the connector Cb of the other electric wire 1b is inserted into the inside of the cylindrical part 3a from one end of the cylindrical part 3a of the binding device 3 attached to one electric wire 1a. As a result, one electric wire 1a and the other electric wire 1b are held in a bundled state, and the connector Cb of the other electric wire 1b is accommodated in the cylindrical portion 3a of the binding tool 3.

In this way, when inserting both the electric wires 1a and 1b of the wire harness 1 bundled by the binding device 3 into the through hole 52 (see FIG. 9) of the vehicle body panel 51, one of the electric wires exposed from the binding device 3 When the connector Ca of 1a is pushed into the through hole 52 and the wire harness 1 is further pushed into the through hole 52, the binding tool 3 is inserted into the through hole 52 from the narrowed attachment part 3b side, and the cylindrical part 3a is inserted into the through hole 52. The connector Cb of the other electric wire 1b housed therein is also inserted through the through hole 52 together with the binding tool 3. Therefore, both electric wires 1a and 1b can be inserted into the through hole 52 of the vehicle body panel 51 while preventing the connector Cb housed in the cylindrical portion 3a from getting caught in the through hole 52 or being rubbed.

Furthermore, after inserting the tips of both electric wires 1a and 1b of the wire harness 1 into the through hole 52, the connector Cb accommodated in the cylindrical part 3a can be easily extracted from the cylindrical part 3a, and the extracted connector It is only necessary to perform necessary work such as connecting Cb to the mating connector, and there is no need to remove the binding tool 3 while it is attached to one of the electric wires 1a. Further, if there is no mating connector to which the connector Cb should be connected, the connector Cb may be left housed in the cylindrical portion 3a, or the connector Cb may be pulled out from the cylindrical portion 3a and placed at a predetermined location. It may be fixed to .

Therefore, according to the first embodiment described above, with the two electric wires 1a and 1b constituting the wire harness 1 bundled by the binding device 3, both electric wires 1a and 1b are inserted into the through hole 52 of the vehicle body panel 51. When doing so, the connector Cb of the other wire 1b can be inserted into the through hole 52 along with the binding tool 3 while the connector Cb of the other wire 1b is accommodated in the tubular part 3a of the binding tool 3. The wire harness 1 can be prevented from being caught or rubbed in the through hole 52, and the wire harness 1 can be inserted into the through hole 52 of the vehicle body panel 51 without damaging the connectors Ca, Cb of any of the electric wires 1a, 1b. Can be inserted.

Moreover, since the binding tool 3 has flexibility, when the attachment part 3b is attached to one of the electric wires 1a with the fastener 5, it is easy to handle and the attachment work can be made more efficient.

In addition, since there is no need to remove the binding tool 3, the conventional work of collecting the binding tool is no longer necessary, and costs can be reduced. The simple and inexpensive configuration allows connection to the electric wires 1a and 1b that constitute the wire harness 1. The wire harness 1 can be inserted into the through hole 52 of the vehicle body panel 51 without damaging the connectors Ca and Cb.

Furthermore, in the manufacturing department that manufactures the wire harness 1, the binding tool 3 is attached to the wire harness 1, and the connector Cb of the other electric wire 1b is inserted and accommodated in the cylindrical part 3a of the binding tool 3. Even when the wire harness 1 is transported to the assembly department, since the connector Cb of the other electric wire 1b is accommodated in the cylindrical portion 3a, damage to the connector Cb during transport is prevented. be able to.

(Second embodiment)
A second embodiment of the electric wire binding tool according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5. Note that the second embodiment differs from the first embodiment described above in the following points.

That is, in the first embodiment described above, one of the electric wires 1a is inserted through the cylindrical portion 3a and the connector Ca is exposed from the binding tool 3, and the attachment portion 3b of one of the electric wires 1a is placed at a position slightly away from the connector Ca. Although the binding tool 5 is attached using the fastener 5, in this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the binding tool 31 is a cylindrical portion having a tapered shape, similar to the cylindrical portion 3a and the attachment portion 3b. 31a and a mounting part 31b, and without inserting one electric wire 1a constituting the wire harness 1 into the cylindrical part 31a, attach the mounting part 31b of the binding tool 31 to one side at a position slightly away from the connector Ca at the tip. The difference from the first embodiment is that it is attached to the electric wire 1a.

At this time, since only the connector Cb is inserted and housed in the cylindrical part 31a, the size of the diameter of the expanded one end of the cylindrical part 31a and the diameter of one electric wire 1a is the same as that of the vehicle body panel 51. The diameter of the expanded one end of the cylindrical portion 31a may be smaller than the diameter of the one end of the cylindrical portion 3a of the first embodiment. .

Therefore, according to the second embodiment, it is possible to obtain the same effect as the first embodiment described above, and in the case of the first embodiment, as shown in FIG. In the second embodiment, it is necessary to set the dimensions of one expanded side of the cylindrical portion 3a so that one electric wire 1a can also be inserted into the cylindrical portion 3a. As shown, since it is sufficient to insert and accommodate only the connector Cb in the cylindrical portion 31a, the dimension of the expanded end of the cylindrical portion 31a may be smaller than that of the first embodiment, and the bundling The material cost of the tool 3 can be reduced compared to the first embodiment.

(Third embodiment)
A third embodiment of the electric wire binding device according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 6 to 8. Note that the third embodiment differs from the first embodiment described above in the following points.

That is, as shown in FIGS. 6 to 8, the binding tool 32 in this embodiment is formed by resin molding, and like the binding tool 3 in the first embodiment, it has a circular cross section and one end is wider than the other end. A tapered cylindrical portion 32a is provided, and a tongue-shaped attachment portion 32b extending outward from the cylindrical portion 32a is integrally formed in a part of the other tapered end of the cylindrical portion 32a. Furthermore, a short cylindrical end portion 32c that is not tapered is integrally formed on the other expanded end side of the cylindrical portion 32a, and a locking claw 32d that protrudes outward is integrally formed in a part of the end portion 32c. This is different from the first embodiment in that the binding tool 32 is formed in a circular shape.

Note that only the connector Cb is inserted and accommodated in the cylindrical part 32a, and the cylindrical part 32a to the connector Cb can be pulled out as needed, as shown by the arrow in FIG. It is only necessary that the diameter of the enlarged one end of the wire 32a and the diameter of one of the electric wires 1a is set smaller than the diameter of the through hole 52 of the vehicle body panel 51. The diameter of the one end side of the shaped part 32a may be smaller than the diameter of the one end side of the cylindrical part 3a of the first embodiment.

Incidentally, as in the first embodiment, the attachment part 32b of the binding tool 32 is attached to a position near the tip of one electric wire 1a and away from the connector Ca using a fastening tool 8 such as an adhesive tape or a rubber tube, so that the binding can be performed. The fixture 32 is fixed to one of the electric wires 1a, but since an opening 33 is formed at the other narrowed end of the cylindrical part 32a, it can be inserted upward into the through hole 52 of the vehicle body panel 51 (see FIG. 9), for example. If the wire harness 1 is inserted through the cylindrical portion 32a, water that has entered from the outside may accumulate in the cylindrical portion 32a. However, by using the opening 33 on the other end side of the cylindrical part 32a as a drain hole, water accumulated in the cylindrical part 32a can be discharged to the outside from the opening 33 on the other end side of the cylindrical part 32a.

Therefore, according to the third embodiment, the same effect as the first embodiment described above can be obtained, and the opening 33 on the other end side of the cylindrical portion 32a is used as a drain hole, so that the opening 33 of the cylindrical portion 32a is Water accumulated in the cylindrical portion 32a can be discharged to the outside from the opening on the other end side.

Furthermore, since a short cylindrical terminal end 32c that is not tapered is integrally formed on one end side of the cylindrical section 32a, the connector Cb accommodated in the cylindrical section 32a is moved by friction with the inner peripheral surface of the terminal end 32c. It is possible to suppress the connector Cb from slipping out without permission, and also to lock the connector Cb to prevent it from slipping to the outside by the locking claw 32d.

Note that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above, and various changes other than those described above can be made without departing from the spirit thereof.

For example, in the above-described embodiment, the cylindrical portions 3a, 31a, 32a of the binding devices 3, 31, 32 are described as having circular cross sections, but when the through hole 52 of the vehicle body panel 51 is rectangular, the through hole 52 The cylindrical portions 3a, 31a, and 32a may have a rectangular cross section depending on the shape, or may be made to match the shape of the through hole 52.

Furthermore, in the binding devices 3 and 31 of the first and second embodiments described above, a drain hole may be formed at the other narrowed end side of the cylindrical portions 3a and 31a.

Furthermore, in the binding tool 32 of the third embodiment described above, the structure may be such that the short cylindrical terminal end portion 32c and/or the locking claw 32d are not provided.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY The present invention can be widely applied as a binding device used to bundle each wire near the tip when inserting a plurality of wires, each of which has a connector connected to the tip and forming a wire harness, through a through hole in a vehicle body panel.
