Description
The present invention relates to a money handling apparatus that stores deposited money by denomination and dispenses the stored money based on the amount to be paid out.
Commonly, circulating currency issued by a nation includes coins and banknotes of multiple denominations. Coins and banknotes have different sizes, designs, materials, etc. for each denomination, so that anyone can easily identify the denomination. Since each denomination has different characteristics, it is also possible to identify the denomination by machine. Therefore, a money processing apparatus has been considered that mechanically identifies the denomination of money, stores the money in a storage unit corresponding to the denomination, and discharges a desired number of coins from the storage unit as needed.
For example, as a device that feeds out coins stored for each denomination one by one, a money processing device disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2013-143038 is known.
This money handling apparatus first has a step of separating a plurality of moneys inserted from a money depositing section and sending them out one by one. The next step is to identify the denomination of the coins being conveyed one by one. The next step is to store the identified currency by denomination. The subsequent process is a process of calculating the amount of change and the number of coins to be paid out for each denomination from the amount of money deposited and the amount of purchase, and dispensing money. A money handling device has a plurality of processes, and deposits, stores, and pays out money.
Also, deposited money is stored by denomination and used as change to be dispensed. In addition, all denominations of coins to be dispensed are not always ready to be dispensed. A denomination of money with a small amount of deposit and a large amount of money withdrawn may result in a smaller number of stored coins, resulting in a shortage of payouts. In such a case, the money handling apparatus performs control to pay out a plurality of small denomination money as substitutes for the depleted money of the same denomination.
A conventional money handling apparatus employs a method of determining the number of denominations of money to be dispensed in order from the largest denomination to the smallest denomination with respect to the amount of change. In addition, when there is a shortage of money of a denomination with a large denomination, a plurality of other coins of the same amount as the money that cannot be dispensed are dispensed as a substitute.
Further, in the conventional technology, it is judged whether the number of stored bills is near-empty, near-full, or not for each denomination. Since there is a possibility that the number of coins of the near-empty denomination to be dispensed may be insufficient, the money handling apparatus performs control so as not to dispense. In addition, since there is a possibility that deposited money cannot be stored in near-full denominations, the money handling apparatus controls to pay out preferentially. In addition, when none of the above is available, the money handling apparatus controls normal payout. In this manner, the money handling apparatus controls payout according to the stored number of coins.
Here, an example of a money handling machine that stores 1,000 yen banknotes, 2,000 yen banknotes, and 5,000 yen banknotes and dispenses change using these banknotes, and pays out high denominations with priority will be described. When paying out change of 6,000 yen, if the bills are sufficiently stored, one 5,000 yen bill, zero 2,000 yen bills, and one 1,000 yen bill are dispensed from the money handling device. However, if there is a shortage of 1,000-yen bills, and the number of bills to be paid out is determined in order from the high-value bills for 6,000 yen, the balance will be 1,000 yen after the decision is made to pay out one 5,000-yen bill. However, since there are no 1,000-yen bills and no denomination of money to replace the 1,000-yen bills, the result is that change cannot be dispensed. If a coin that can replace 1000 yen is stored, the coin will be used as a substitute, but if the coin is also insufficient, the change cannot be dispensed.
The present invention provides a money processing device that not only replaces money in short supply with other money in monetary units, but also performs control to pay out money based on the amount of money to be paid out.

The
The
When the

The
The
An outer wall is provided outside the outer circumference of the

Since nine coin hoppers are arranged,

In this manner, the
Next, the processing for calculating the denomination and number of coins to be paid out from the amount of change will be described with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6. FIG. FIG. 5 is a second flow chart for explaining the operation of the coin processing device. FIG. 6 is a diagram for explaining data used for processing of the coin processing device. FIG. 6(a) is an example of data used for calculation, and FIG. 6(b) is an example of data for each denomination.
When calculating the denomination and number of coins for the amount of change to be paid out, a problem arises when the stored money runs short. When there is a denomination for which there is no stored money, it is determined whether or not the money of another denomination can be substituted, and if the denomination is substitutable, the denomination and the number of coins to be paid out as a substitute are calculated. When calculating the denominations and the number of coins to be paid out, the number of coins to be paid out is determined so that the total number of coins to be paid out is reduced, with priority given to denominations of large denominations and the amount of coins of small denominations as small as possible.
Euro coins are widely used in eight denominations of 2 euro, 1 euro, 50 cents, 20 cents, 10 cents, 5 cents, 2 cents and 1 cent. 20 is not a divisor of 50 and 2 is not a divisor of 5. Therefore, a 50-cent coin cannot be replaced by a 20-cent coin alone. Also, a 5-cent coin cannot be replaced by a 2-cent coin alone. Even in the case of Japanese currency, a 5,000-yen note cannot be replaced by a 2,000-yen note alone. There are denominations of money whose amount is not a divisor, and there are cases where only one denomination cannot be substituted. Although euros and yen are shown as examples of money, they are not limited to these. Further, the present invention is applicable not only to a device that processes only coins and a device that processes only banknotes, but also to a device that processes both coins and banknotes.
For example, consider a case where the denominations and the number of payouts to be paid out are determined in descending order of denominations when paying out alternative coins. Here, 50 cents is a high denomination as the first amount, 20 cents is a middle denomination as a second amount, and 10 cents is a low denomination as a third amount. When the amount of change is 80 cents, if a sufficient number of coins of each denomination are stored, the denominations and numbers to be paid out are one 50 cent coin, one 20 cent coin, and one 10 cent coin. Here, a problem arises if there is no money stored in denominations of 10 cents or less. First, if one 50-cent coin is set to be paid out, the balance will be 30 cents. Next, when setting to pay out one 20-cent coin, the balance becomes 10 cents. If no money of 10 cents or less is stored, it is determined that the payout cannot be made. However, the 80-cent change amount can also be paid out with four 20-cent coins. When higher denominations are prioritized over middle denominations and lower denominations, i.e., when judging in order from the highest denomination to the lowest denomination, it may be determined that the payout is not possible even if the payout is possible. If there is a problem that change cannot be paid out, equipment maintenance such as replenishment of missing coins is required. By solving such a problem, the number of times of maintenance can be reduced, and convenience for the person receiving the change is improved because the change is paid out. Including a higher denomination of the first amount, a middle denomination of a second amount that is smaller than the first amount and is not a divisor of the first amount, and a lower denomination of a third amount that is less than the second amount and is a divisor of the first amount, and when the combination of the higher denomination and the lower denomination cannot be paid out due to a shortage of the higher denomination or the lower denomination, and the amount paid out by combining the higher denomination and the lower denomination is an amount that is a multiple of the second amount, medium It may be possible to pay out depending on the denomination.
When the
FIG. 6A shows data used for processing. Data is stored in memory 51 for use in control. The processing data table 70 has an
FIG. 5 is a flowchart of processing for calculating the denomination and number of coins to be paid out from the amount of change.
In step S20, the amount of change obtained from the
Next, in step S21, the amount of money of the first denomination is set as the upper denomination amount Y1 used for calculation. For example, Y1 is set to 2 euros of the first denomination, which is the largest denomination. At this time, the denomination with the next largest denomination after the denomination indicated by Y1 is set as the lower denomination amount Y2 at the time of calculation. For example, Y2 is set to 1 euro, which is the amount of the second denomination.
Next, in step S22, T and S are obtained by dividing X by Y1. The calculated T is compared with the stored number of denominations indicated by Y1 to determine whether or not the payout can be made. For example, when the denomination is 2 euros, it is determined that the payout is possible if the stored number G≧calculated time quotient T.
Here, if the number of stored coins G<calculated time quotient T, the number of payable coins of the denomination indicated by Y1 is G coins. Then, TG=t is calculated to find the number t of coins of the denomination indicated by Y1 that cannot be paid out. Then, the value of T is newly set to G, and the value of S is newly set to S+Y1×t. Add the amount of money that cannot be paid out to the value of S.
Next, in step S23, it is determined whether or not there is a remainder S. If there is a remainder, the process proceeds to step S24; otherwise, the process proceeds to step S28. The fact that there is no surplus means that the denomination and the number of coins for paying out the change amount X have been decided. Here, when the process proceeds to step S28, in step S28, the determined T is stored as the number of payouts of the denomination indicated by Y1. For example, as shown in FIG. 6, the
Next, in step S24, it is determined whether Y2 is a divisor of Y1. If it is a divisor, the process proceeds to step S28, and if not, the process proceeds to step S25. For example, if Y1 is 50 cents and Y2 is 20 cents, they are not divisors, so the process proceeds to step S25. For example, if Y1 is 2 euros and Y2 is 1 euro, then the process proceeds to step S28 because they are divisors.
Step S25 is the continuation process when the number is not a divisor. With respect to the remainder S, it is calculated whether or not it can be paid out with a denomination equal to or less than the denomination indicated by Y2.
Next, in step S26, if it is determined that the calculation result of step S25 can be paid out, the process proceeds to step S28, and if it is determined that the payout cannot be made, the process proceeds to step S27.
In step S27, T-1 is stored as the number of coins to be paid out according to the denomination indicated by Y1. For example, as shown in FIG. 6, the
In step S28, T is stored as the number of coins to be paid out according to the denomination indicated by Y1. For example, as shown in FIG. 6, the
Next, in step S29, it is confirmed whether Y1 is the smallest denomination. If Y1 is the smallest denomination, the process proceeds to step S32, and if it is not the smallest denomination, the process proceeds to step S30.
In step S30, the new Y1 is set to the next smallest denomination amount after the current Y1.
Next, in step S31, the new Y2 is set to the denomination amount of the next smallest amount after Y1. Here, if there is no denomination with the next smallest denomination after Y1, that is, if Y1 has the smallest denomination, the new Y2 will be the same denomination as Y1. Then, the process proceeds to step S22.
Next, in step S32, it is determined whether or not change can be dispensed. If X>0, it means that change cannot be paid out, and payment is not allowed. When X=0, it means that the change can be paid out, and the payout is permitted. Also, the denominations and the number of coins to be paid out are the numbers indicated by the number of payouts a to h corresponding to each denomination.
Here, let us consider specific values. For example, the amount of change is 62 cents, and the stored coins are 0 2-cent coins, 0 1-cent coins, 10 50-cent coins, 10 20-cent coins, 0 10-cent coins, 1 5-cent coins, 4 2-cent coins, and 0 1-cent coins.
First, in step S20, X=62 cents is set.
Next, in step S21, Y1=2 euros and Y2=1 euros are set.
The processing from step S22 to step S31 loops until Y1=50 cents. When Y1=50 cents and Y2=20 cents are set and the process proceeds to step S22, it is possible to pay out Y1=50 cents, T=1, and the remainder is S=12 cents.
Since S>0 in step S23, the process proceeds to step S24.
In step S24, since Y2 is not a divisor of Y1, the process proceeds to step S25.
In step S25, it is calculated whether S=12 cents can be paid out in denominations of Y2 or less. Since it cannot be paid out, the process proceeds to step S27.
In step S27, a new T is set to 1-1=0. Set the new S to 12+50=62.
In step S29, since Y1 is not the minimum denomination, the process proceeds to step S30.
In step S30, Y1 is set to 20 cents.
In step S31, Y2 is set to 10 cents.
Again, returning to step S22, calculation is performed to obtain T=3 sheets and S=2 cents.
In step S23, the process proceeds to step S24.
In step S24, the process proceeds to step S25.
In step S25, the calculation result can be paid out at Y2 or less.
In step S26, the process proceeds to step S28 based on the result of the calculation.
In step S28, the denomination to be paid out is stored as Y1=20 cents, T=3 coins, and the new X is set to X=2 cents.
In step S29, the process proceeds to step S30.
In step S30, Y1=10 cents and Y2=5 cents.
In this state, the processing from step S22 to step S31 loops until Y1=2 cents and Y2=1 cent.
When the process of step S22 is performed with Y1 set to 2 cents, T=1 and S=0, and in step S23, the process proceeds to step S28. Store Y1=2 cents, T=1, and new X is set to X=0.
Thereafter, with Y1 set to 1 cent, the processing from step S22 to step S31 is looped until step S29 is reached. If Y1 is set to 1 cent and the process of step S29 is performed, the process proceeds to step S32, where there is no balance and the payout is set. Change of 62 cents is paid out by 3 20 cents and 1 2 cents.
When the lower denomination is not a divisor of the higher denomination and the balance of the change cannot be paid out with the money of the lower denomination or less, the payout number of the higher denomination is reduced by one and added to the balance of the change. It is calculated whether or not the balance of new change can be paid out with money of a lower denomination that is not a divisor of a higher denomination. Even if it is not possible to pay out money by simply substituting money of a higher denomination with money of a lower denomination, the money of a lower denomination may be paid out by reducing the number of payouts of the higher denomination by one.
Here, if the processing is shifted to step S27, it means that there is a shortage of some coins. It is preferable that the series of processes described above be performed as an emergency only when the number of stored bills of a predetermined denomination is less than the predetermined number. Also, if enough coins are stored, there is no need for emergency processing. Therefore, when the number of stored coins of a predetermined denomination is less than the predetermined number, notification to prompt replenishment of coins is performed, and the shift destination of Yes in step S23 is set to step S29, and when the number of stored denominations of the predetermined denomination is equal to or more than the predetermined number, switching is performed so as to shift to step S24. In this way, emergency processing is performed only when necessary. For example, when the number of 10-cent coins, which are lower denominations, is nine or less, in the case of paying out a combination of 50-cent coins and 10-cent coins, if 20-cent coins can be paid out, processing may be performed to pay out 20-cent coins. If there is a shortage of 10-cent coins, there is a high possibility that the payout will not be possible. Therefore, it is preferable to perform control to reduce the number of 10-cent coins that are likely to run short. As another example, when the number of coins of a lower denomination cannot be substituted for a coin of a higher denomination, a notification is given to prompt replenishment, and an emergency process is performed. For example, if the higher denomination is a 10-cent coin, the lower denominations of 5, 2, and 1-cent coins cannot be substituted for the 10-cent coin. There are a plurality of combinations of denominations and numbers of bills, but it can be implemented by setting conditions for such combinations of denominations and number of bills in advance and confirming the conditions each time the number of bills to be stored changes.
Next, another method of calculating the denomination and number of coins to be paid out from the amount of change will be described. FIG. 7 is a third flow chart for explaining the operation of the coin processing device.
In the case of euro money, the processing for calculating the denomination and the number of coins when paying out the change amount in terms of denominations of 50 cents or less will be described.
In step S40, the acquired amount of change is set as the balance for calculation.
Next, in step S41, the number a of coins that can be paid out with 50 cent coins is calculated for the balance. In addition, the balance that cannot be paid out is obtained by 50-cent coins.
Next, in step S42, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S43, the number b of coins that can be paid out with 20 cent coins is calculated for the balance. In addition, the remaining balance that cannot be paid out is obtained in 20-cent coins.
Next, in step S44, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S45, the number c of coins that can be paid out with 10-cent coins is calculated for the balance. In addition, the remaining balance that cannot be paid out is obtained in 10-cent coins.
Next, in step S46, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S47, the number d of payable 5-cent coins is calculated for the balance. In addition, the remaining balance that cannot be paid out is obtained using a 5-cent coin.
Next, in step S48, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S49, the number e of coins that can be paid out with 2 cent coins is calculated for the balance. In addition, the balance that cannot be paid out is obtained in 2-cent coins.
Next, in step S50, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S51, the number f of coins that can be paid out with 1-cent coins is calculated for the balance. In addition, the remaining balance that cannot be paid out is obtained in 1-cent coins.
Next, in step S52, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S53, it is determined whether or not there is a 50-cent coin payout. If there is, the process proceeds to step S54, and if not, the process proceeds to step S66. If there is a balance and the payment is made in 50 cent coins, there is a possibility that the payment can be made in 20 cent coins, so whether or not it can be paid out is calculated. Since 50 is not a divisor of 20, if the payout of 50 cent coins is reduced by one, there is a possibility that a coin of 20 cent coins or less can be paid out.
In step S54, as a new balance, the balance when one sheet is less than a obtained in the processing up to this point is set. That is, "initially set balance - 50 cents x (a-1)" is calculated as a new balance.
Next, in step S55, as a new value of a, a value obtained by subtracting one sheet from a obtained in the processing up to step S53 is set.
Next, in step S56, the number b of coins that can be paid out with 20-cent coins for the newly set balance is calculated again. In addition, the remaining balance that cannot be paid out is obtained in 20-cent coins.
Next, in step S57, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S58, the number c of coins that can be paid out with 10-cent coins is calculated again. In addition, the remaining balance that cannot be paid out is obtained in 10-cent coins.
Next, in step S59, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S60, the number d of coins that can be paid out with 5-cent coins is calculated again. In addition, the remaining balance that cannot be paid out is obtained using a 5-cent coin.
Next, in step S61, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S62, the number e of coins that can be paid out with 2 cent coins is calculated again. In addition, the balance that cannot be paid out is obtained in 2-cent coins.
Next, in step S63, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S64, the number f of coins that can be paid out with 1-cent coins is calculated for the balance. In addition, the remaining balance that cannot be paid out is obtained in 1-cent coins.
Next, in step S65, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S66, it is determined whether or not there is a payout of 5-cent coins. If there is, the process proceeds to step S67, and if not, the process proceeds to step S73. If there is a balance and the payment is made in 5 cent coins, there is a possibility that the payment can be made in 2 cent coins. Since 5 is not a divisor of 2, if the payout of 5 cent coins is reduced by one, it is possible to pay out a coin of 2 cent coins or less.
In step S67, as a new balance, the balance when one sheet is less than d obtained in the processing up to this point is set. That is, "initially set balance - (50 cents x a + 20 cents x b + 10 cents x c + 5 cents x (d-1))" is calculated as a new balance.
Next, in step S68, as a new value of d, a value obtained by subtracting one sheet from d obtained in the processing up to step S66 is set.
Next, in step S69, the number e of coins that can be paid out with 2 cent coins is calculated again for the newly set balance. In addition, the balance that cannot be paid out is obtained in 2-cent coins.
Next, in step S70, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S71, the number f of coins that can be paid out with 1-cent coins is calculated again. In addition, the remaining balance that cannot be paid out is obtained in 1-cent coins.
Next, in step S72, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S73, it is set that the acquired amount of change cannot be paid out with the stored money.
Next, at step S74, if the balance becomes 0 in the process of calculation and the process proceeds to this step, it is found that the payout is possible. As a result of the calculation, if the balance>0, it is found that the money is insufficient and the payout is impossible. Set whether or not the money can be paid out, and set the denomination and number of money to be paid out. As shown in FIG. 6B, the
For example, consider a case where the change amount is 110 cents, and the stored coins are two 50-cent coins, five 20-cent coins, and no coins of 10 cents or less. If the number of coins that can be paid out is set from the higher denominations, two 50-cent coins are set, the balance becomes 10 cents, and the payout is impossible. Therefore, one 50-cent coin is included in the balance, the new balance is set to 60 cents, and it is determined whether it is possible to pay out from 20-cent coins. The new balance can be paid out with three 20-cent coins, and the balance becomes zero. As a result, it is determined that the payout is possible, and the coins to be paid out are set to one 50-cent coin and three 20-cent coins. In this way, in the calculation of substituting the coin of the higher denomination with the coin of the lower denomination, even if the coin cannot be paid out, it may be possible to pay out by calculating the denomination and the number of coins to be paid out according to the amount to be paid out. By making it possible to pay out change, it is possible to reduce the number of maintenance operations for replenishing change.
FIG. 8 is a fourth flow chart for explaining the operation of the coin processing device. A process for including a Japanese 2,000-yen bill in the change will be described. The
A process of obtaining the value of the amount of change from the
First, in step S80, the amount of change obtained from the external device is set as the balance.
Next, in step S81, the number a of 5000-yen banknotes that can be paid out is calculated for the balance. In addition, the remaining balance that cannot be paid out is calculated using 5000 yen banknotes.
Next, in step S82, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
In step S83, the number b of 2000-yen banknotes that can be paid out is calculated for the balance. In addition, the remaining balance that cannot be paid out is calculated using 2000-yen banknotes.
Next, in step S84, it is determined whether or not there is any remaining money.
In step S85, the number b of 1000-yen banknotes that can be paid out is calculated for the balance. In addition, the balance that cannot be paid out in 1000-yen bills is obtained.
At step S86, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
In step S87, it is determined whether or not there is a payout of 5000 yen banknotes. If there is, the process proceeds to step S88, and if not, the process proceeds to step S95. If there is a balance and the payment is made with a 5000 yen note, there is a possibility that the payment can be made with a 2000 yen note. Since 5000 is not a divisor of 2000, there is a possibility that if the payout of 5000 yen bills is reduced by one, 2000 yen bills or less can be paid out.
In step S88, as a new balance, the balance when one sheet is less than a obtained in the processing up to this point is set. That is, "initially set balance - 5000 yen x (a-1)" is calculated as a new balance.
Next, in step S89, as a new value of a, a value obtained by subtracting one sheet from a obtained in the processing up to step S87 is set.
Next, in step S90, the number b of 2000-yen banknotes that can be paid out for the newly set balance is calculated again. In addition, the remaining balance that cannot be paid out is calculated using 2000-yen banknotes.
Next, in step S91, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S92, the number c of 1,000-yen banknotes that can be paid out is calculated again. In addition, the balance that cannot be paid out in 1000-yen bills is obtained.
Next, in step S93, it is determined whether or not there is a balance.
Next, in step S94, as a result of calculation, there is a balance, so it is set that the acquired change amount cannot be paid out with the stored money.
Next, at step S95, if the balance becomes 0 in the process of calculation and the process proceeds to this step, it is found that the payout is possible. Further, as a result of the calculation, if the balance>0, it is found that the money is insufficient and the payout is impossible. In step S95, it is set whether or not the bill can be paid out, and if it can be paid out, the denomination and number of bills to be paid out are set.
For example, the memory 51 stores the denomination, number of stored bills, and number of bills to be dispensed, similar to the coin shown in FIG. When change can be paid out, the
For example, consider a case where the balance, that is, the amount of change is 6,000 yen, and the banknotes stored are one 5,000-yen banknote, three 2,000-yen banknotes, and no 1,000-yen banknote. When the number of bills that can be paid out from the higher denominations is set, one 5000 yen banknote is set, the balance becomes 1000 yen, and the payout is impossible. Therefore, one 5,000-yen banknote is included in the balance, the new balance is set to 6,000 yen, and it is determined again whether it is possible to pay out the next high denomination 2,000-yen banknote. The new balance can be paid out with three 2000-yen banknotes, and the balance becomes zero. As a result, it is determined that it can be paid out, and three 2000-yen banknotes are set as the coins to be paid out. In addition to setting the number of coins to be paid out in order from the higher denomination, it is determined whether or not the amount of money of the next smaller denomination is a divisor of the higher denomination, and if it is not a divisor, the number of payouts of the higher denomination is reduced and it is again determined whether the balance can be paid out by the lower denomination.
