Description
The present invention relates to a cross-linking reaction simulation device.
Conventionally, the physical properties of chemical substances have been improved by cross-linking polymers. Rubber is exemplified as such a polymer. Rubber is made by adding sulfur, other cross-linking agents, vulcanization accelerators, etc. to raw rubber, and heating the mixture to form a three-dimensional network cross-linked structure between or within the rubber molecular chains. .

However, since the accuracy of the above technique is not sufficiently high, the reaction rate of the cross-linking reaction of rubber cannot be accurately estimated.
The present invention has been made in view of such a background, and an object thereof is to provide a cross-linking reaction simulation apparatus capable of accurately estimating the reaction rate of the cross-linking reaction.

According to one aspect of the present invention, the equivalent reaction amount of the polymer portion at each time is calculated based on the slope coefficient according to the degree of progress of the crosslinking reaction at the target time, and the polymer portion is calculated based on the calculated equivalent reaction amount. Calculate the reaction rate of the cross-linking reaction. As a result, the reaction rate of the cross-linking reaction can be estimated with higher accuracy than when the reaction rate of the cross-linking reaction of the polymer portion is calculated based on the equivalent reaction amount calculated without considering the degree of progress of the cross-linking reaction.

3-1. Mass Ratio of Carbon Black Next, details of the heat transfer analysis process S1 will be described with reference to FIGS. 2 and 5 to 8. FIG. As shown in FIG. 2, in a state in which the
As shown in FIG. 5, the temperature of the

The above thermal diffusivity α is represented by the following formula (2).
λ: Thermal conductivity ρ: Density C: Specific heat
Thermal diffusivity α and thermal conductivity λ correspond to thermal diffusivity characteristic TS. However, the thermal diffusivity characteristic TS is not limited to the thermal diffusivity α and the thermal conductivity λ.
If the thermal diffusivity α is known, the thermal diffusivity α can be used directly to calculate the temperature of the
However, when calculating the temperature of the
Therefore, by actually measuring the temperature of the
FIG. 7 shows the measured values of the temperature of the
However, the thermal diffusivity α or the thermal conductivity λ of the
Therefore, the inventors paid attention to carbon black among the additive materials added to the
FIG. 8 shows the relationship between the mass ratio of carbon black to the raw material polymer and the thermal conductivity λ of the
As shown in FIG. 8, the thermal conductivity λ of the

4. Crosslinking reaction analysis processing S2
Next, the cross-linking reaction analysis process S2 will be described. As for the cross-linking reaction analysis processing S2, the reaction rate will be described first. Next, the conventional technology will be described, and then the problems of the conventional technology will be described. After that, the cross-linking reaction analysis processing of this embodiment will be described.
4-1. Reaction rate The reaction rate of the cross-linking reaction is measured as follows. As shown in FIG. 10, the reaction rate of the rubber according to the present embodiment was measured using a vulcanization tester 70 (an example of a cross-linking reaction tester) in accordance with JIS K6300-2. The reaction rate (vulcanization degree) is calculated from the relationship with time. As the

As shown in FIG. 10, a
FIG. 11 shows an example of measurement results. FIG. 11(a) is a graph (crosslinking reaction curve CC) of torque variation versus reaction time at a given reaction temperature. On the other hand, the reaction rate is defined such that the minimum torque is 0% reaction rate and the maximum torque is 100% reaction rate. FIG. 11(b) shows a graph (reference reaction curve RC) showing changes in reaction rate with respect to reaction time at a given reaction temperature. In the case of rubber according to this embodiment, the reaction rate is called the degree of vulcanization. The degree of vulcanization is defined as the degree of vulcanization when the physical properties of the vulcanized rubber (elastic modulus, elongation, tensile strength, hardness, etc.) are used as indices. 4-2.

Regarding the reaction amount described above, it is considered that the following formula (13) holds between the reaction time t γ at a predetermined reaction rate γ and the reaction rate k. Any value from 0% to 100%, such as 5% or 90%, can be appropriately adopted as the reaction rate γ.
B: arbitrary constant t γ : reaction time at a given reaction rate γ
Formula (14) is obtained by taking the natural logarithm of both sides of formula (13), substituting it into formula (12), and transforming the formula.
From the equation (14), when ln(1/t γ ) is plotted on the vertical axis and (1/T) is plotted on the horizontal axis, the time for the reaction rate to reach α% and each measurement temperature are plotted to approximate a straight line and the slope of this straight line is (-E/R) (see FIG. 12).
In an actual reaction, as shown in FIG. 13, the temperature changes as the reaction time elapses. In such a case, equations (4) and (11) are used to calculate the equivalent reaction amount, and the calculation is performed as follows.
First, as shown in FIG. 13, the reaction time is divided into predetermined intervals (for example, 1 minute). Next, the temperature is read at predetermined intervals.
Next, the equivalent reaction volume per predetermined interval is calculated using equation (4). In the formula (4), the calculation is performed by substituting the predetermined interval Δt. The calculation can be simplified by setting Δt=1 as the predetermined interval, for example.
Next, the ΔU i per predetermined interval Δt calculated by equation (4) are summed. A specific calculation method will be described with reference to FIG.
As shown in FIG. 14, the equivalent reaction amount U i-1 at reaction time t i-1 and reaction temperature T i- 1 is calculated by equation (4). Similarly, the equivalent reaction amount U i at the reaction time t i and the reaction temperature T i is calculated.
Next, add U i−1 ×Δt and U i ×Δt. As a result, the integrated value of the equivalent reaction amount in the reaction times t i−1 to t i is obtained. In this embodiment, Δt=1/2t. Similarly, according to equation (11), the equivalent reaction amount U can be obtained by integrating the equivalent reaction amount ΔU i per predetermined time from t=1 to t=n.
Next, a method for calculating the reaction rate from the equivalent reaction amount U will be described. First, the reaction amount Z at the reaction temperature T 0 and the reaction time t is expressed by the formula (5). Next, from the equation (5), the reaction amount Z0 at the reaction temperature T0 and the reaction time t0 is represented by the following equation (15). Here, since the reaction temperature in equations (5) and (15) is the same value T0 , each k is the same value from equation (3).
Substituting the above equations (5) and (15) into the above equation (8), the reaction rate k is canceled to obtain the following equation (16).
If t 0 =1 in Equation (16), Equation (16) is expressed as Equation (17) below.
4-3. Problems of Reaction Rate Calculation Method However, when the reaction rate is estimated based on the above-described method, there is a problem that the difference from the measured value is large and sufficient accuracy cannot be obtained.
FIG. 16 shows the change in reaction rate with respect to reaction time. Since the reference temperature was set to 160° C. when using the formula (4), the measured values and the predicted values are in good agreement with each other when the reaction temperature is 160° C.
However, for the reaction temperatures of 170° C. and 180° C., the measured values and predicted values do not sufficiently match. In general, the predicted values are larger than the measured values. The reason why the maximum values of the reaction rate are the same is that the maximum value of the reaction rate is defined as 100% as described above.
With reference to FIG. 17, the reason why the measured value and the predicted value do not sufficiently match in the conventional technique will be described. FIG. 17 shows a graph showing changes in reaction rate with respect to reaction time. The cross-linking reaction according to this embodiment proceeds through the following processes.
In the initial stage of reaction progress when the reaction has started, the reaction rate gradually increases. After a certain amount of time has passed and the reaction progress is accelerated, the reaction rate increases sharply. After that, in the latter stage of the reaction progress, the rate of increase slows down and reaches a maximum value. After the reaction rate reaches the maximum value, it becomes a reaction return period in which the return reaction proceeds. In this reaction return period, the reaction rate gradually decreases.
In the technique described above, the period from the beginning of the reaction progress to the reaction return period is regarded as, so to speak, one cross-linking reaction. Therefore, one activation energy E is used to predict the reaction rate. As a result, it is considered that the measured value of the reaction rate did not sufficiently match the predicted value.
4-4. Crosslinking Reaction Analyzing Process of the Present Embodiment In the present embodiment, a plurality of activation energies are calculated according to the state of progress of the reaction, and the equivalent reaction amount is predicted based on the obtained activation energies. Based on this idea, formula (4) was transformed into formula (18) below.
E N : Activation energy for each stage of the reaction, divided into N stages
FIG. 17 shows an example in which the state of progress of the reaction is divided into four stages: the early stage of the reaction, the accelerated stage of the reaction, the late stage of the reaction, and the stage of the reaction return. However, the state of progress of the reaction may be divided into 2 to 3, or 5 or more arbitrary stages. Also, the entire period including the reaction progress period and the reaction return period may be divided into equal intervals. As an index for dividing into equal intervals, the degree of progress of the cross-linking reaction may be divided by 5%, for example, based on the degree of progress during the entire period of the cross-linking reaction. However, the classification index is not limited to 5%, and may be 1% to 4% or 6% or more.
In this embodiment, the reaction rate of 0% to 5% is defined as the early reaction progress period, the reaction rate of 5% to 50% is defined as the reaction progress acceleration period, and the reaction rate of 50% to 100% is defined as the late reaction progress period. , the range in which the reaction rate decreased from 100% to 90% in the stage after the late stage of the reaction progress was defined as the reaction return period.
At each reaction stage, the value of the term (E N /R) including the activation energy E N was obtained using the above equation (14). As shown in FIG. 17, (E 1 /R) is about 12000 in the initial stage of reaction progress (reaction rate of 0% to 5%), and (E 2 /R) is about 9000, (E 3 /R) is about 13000 in the late stage of the reaction progress (50% to 100% reaction rate), and (E 4 /R) was about 16,000. However, the numerical value of (E N /R) is not limited to the above values. Note that (E/R) was 11,000 when the reaction from the beginning of the reaction progress to the reaction return period was regarded as one reaction stage.
FIG. 18 shows the results of predicting the reaction rate using the activation energies E 1 to E 4 obtained as described above, together with the measured values. At the reference temperature of 160°C, not only did the measured values agree with the predicted values, but also at the reaction temperatures of 170°C and 180°C, the measured values and predicted values agreed with good precision. Thereby, the reaction rate can be predicted with high accuracy.
In this embodiment, the slope coefficient SC is set to different values in the reaction progress period until the reaction rate of the cross-linking reaction reaches its peak and in the reaction return period after the reaction rate has passed the peak. Further, in the present embodiment, the slope coefficient SC is set to a smaller value during the reaction return period than during the reaction progress period.
Further, in the present embodiment, the slope coefficient SC is set to different values in the early stage of reaction progress, accelerated reaction progress period, late reaction progress period, and reaction return period. Further, in this embodiment, the slope coefficient SC in the accelerated reaction period is set to a value larger than that in the early stage of reaction progress and the late stage of reaction progress.
Moreover, when the entire period of the cross-linking reaction is divided into equal intervals, the slope coefficient SC is set to a value corresponding to each division.
4-5. Method of Expressing Reaction Rate of Crosslinking Reaction A method of expressing the reaction rate of the crosslinking reaction in this embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 19 is a graph showing changes in the reaction rate of the cross-linking reaction with respect to the reaction time. The graph indicated by the solid line is the measured value of the reaction rate.
After the reaction rate of the cross-linking reaction indicated by the solid line reaches a maximum value, the reaction rate gradually decreases due to the progress of the reversion reaction. Therefore, for example, there is a point at which the reaction rate reaches 80% before reaching the maximum value, and a point at which the reaction rate reaches 80% after reaching the maximum value. In this case, simply comparing the reaction rate figures alone, it is impossible to distinguish between the 80% figure before the reaction rate reaches the maximum value and the 80% figure after the reaction rate reaches the maximum value.
Therefore, in the present embodiment, the reaction rate of the cross-linking reaction is set to 0% at the start of the cross-linking reaction in the reaction progress period until the reaction rate of the cross-linking reaction reaches the peak, and the degree of increase in the reaction rate of the cross-linking reaction is It is defined in the range from 0% to 100%, and is defined as a value obtained by adding the degree of decrease in the reaction rate from the peak of the reaction rate to 100% in the reaction return period when the reaction rate has passed the peak.
In the graph of FIG. 19, the straight line extending parallel to the horizontal axis from the point where the reaction rate is 100% is the symmetry axis, and the graph of the reaction return period when the reaction rate exceeds the peak is reversed as indicated by the arrow B. Let Accordingly, the point of 80% reaction rate after the reaction rate reaches the maximum value can be expressed as 120% reaction rate. As a result, it is possible to clearly distinguish between the reaction rate before the reaction rate reaches the maximum value and the reaction rate after the reaction rate reaches the maximum value (see FIG. 20).
4-6. Method for Determining Values Calculated by Simulation Next, a method for determining values calculated by simulation will be described. In this embodiment, the slope coefficient SC and response rate are determined using one or both of a database and a function. Using a database can improve the accuracy of the estimated value. On the other hand, using functions can improve the computation speed.

6. Internal bubble estimation process S4
Next, the internal air bubble estimation processing S4 will be described. A rubber product, which is an example of this embodiment, is made by molding and vulcanizing. Therefore, the gas originally dissolved in the rubber or the gas generated by the vulcanization reaction is dissolved in the rubber under the high temperature and high pressure conditions of vulcanization. When the
If the vulcanization time is lengthened while the rubber is placed in the

The elastic modulus is the elastic modulus when a static force is applied in a direction perpendicular to the axis A of the target workpiece model WM. The numerical values in the table are the ratios to the elastic modulus when the reaction rate of the cross-linking reaction is 100%. However, the direction of the force applied to the target work model WM is not limited. The modulus of elasticity when a force is applied in any direction, such as when a static force is applied in the direction of rotation, or when a static force is applied in the direction of tilting the target workpiece model WM with respect to the axis A can be adopted. Further, the force applied to the target work model WM is not limited to a static force, and may be, for example, an elastic modulus when vibration is applied to the target work model WM.
Table 5 summarizes the relationship between the elastic modulus obtained as a result of structural analysis by assigning the elastic modulus according to the degree of vulcanization to each element of the target work model WM, the mold temperature, and the reaction time. is. In Table 5, the cells marked with "-" are locations where calculation errors occurred in the elastic modulus simulation.

The present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and can be applied to various embodiments without departing from the scope of the invention.
