Description
Claims (16)
- 血管閉塞デバイスであって、
拘束されていない展開構成と拘束された送達構成とを有する内側編組部材であって、第1の材料組成物からなる複数のセクションを含み、前記複数のセクションが、前記血管閉塞デバイスに沿って長手方向にジグザグパターンで延びて複数の屈曲を規定し、各屈曲が単一のワイヤにより構成され、前記複数のセクションのペアが形成する少なくとも1の屈曲が、当該内側編組部材が展開構成にあるときに、第1の編組角度を規定する、内側編組部材と、
前記内側編組部材の周囲に少なくとも部分的に配置された外側編組部材であって、拘束されていない展開構成と拘束された送達構成とを有する外側編組部材とを備え、
前記外側編組部材が、前記第1の材料組成物とは異なる第2の材料組成物からなる複数のフィラメントを含み、
前記第1の材料組成物が、前記第2の材料組成物よりも大きな放射線不透過性を有し、
前記複数のフィラメントのペアが、前記外側編組部材が展開構成にあるときに、前記第1の編組角度と実質的に等しい第2の編組角度を規定し、
前記ジグザグパターンおよび前記複数の屈曲のそれぞれは、直線軌跡どうしが単一の屈曲点で屈曲して形成されていることを特徴とする血管閉塞デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記複数のセクションが、約0.0005インチ~約0.003インチの範囲の直径の円形断面を有することを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記複数のセクションが、非円形の断面を有することを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項3に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記複数のセクションが、矩形の断面を有することを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1乃至4の何れか一項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記複数のセクションが、2~12本のフィラメントからなることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1乃至5の何れか一項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記第1の材料組成物が、Pt族金属、Ta、Auおよびそれらの合金からなる群のなかから選択された1または複数の材料を含むことを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1乃至6の何れか一項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記複数のフィラメントが、約0.0005インチ~約0.003インチの範囲の直径の円形断面を有することを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1乃至6の何れか一項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記複数のフィラメントが、非円形の断面を有することを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項8に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記複数のフィラメントが、矩形の断面を有することを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1乃至9の何れか一項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記複数のフィラメントが、16~96本のフィラメントからなり、前記第2の材料組成物が、超弾性合金を含むことを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項10に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記複数のフィラメントが、24本のフィラメントからなることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1乃至11の何れか一項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記内側編組部材および前記外側編組部材が、1または複数の連結位置で互いに連結されていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項12に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記内側編組部材および前記外側編組部材が、それぞれの第1の端部および第2の端部で互いに連結されていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1乃至13の何れか一項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
編組された閉塞デバイスが、両端に半円形を持つ矩形状の断面を有することを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1乃至14の何れか一項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記複数のセクションのペアは、前記内側編組部材が送達構成にあるときに、第3の編組角度を規定し、
前記複数のフィラメントのペアは、前記外側編組部材が送達構成にあるときに、前記第3の編組角度と実質的に等しい第4の編組角度を規定することを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1乃至15の何れか一項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記第2の材料が、前記第1の材料よりも大きな超弾性を有することを特徴とするデバイス。
