Claims (13)
- 第1メモリ領域及び第2メモリ領域を含む不揮発性メモリと、
第1クライアント装置から、第1マルチメディアファイルと該第1マルチメディアファイルのアップロード要請とを受信し、該アップロード要請に応答して、オリジナルフォーマットの前記第1マルチメディアファイルを、ベースレイヤ及び複数のエンハンスメントレイヤを含むスケーラブルフォーマットの第2マルチメディアファイルにトランスコーディングし、前記ベースレイヤを、第1保存信頼性レベルを有する前記第1メモリ領域に保存し、且つ前記複数のエンハンスメントレイヤを、前記第1保存信頼性レベルより低い第2保存信頼性レベルを有する前記第2メモリ領域に保存するように、前記不揮発性メモリを制御する、ように構成されたメモリコントローラと、
を含み、
前記メモリコントローラは、前記第1クライアント装置または第2クライアント装置から、第1解像度または第1ビットレートを有する第3マルチメディアファイルの第1リトリーブ要請を受信し、該第1リトリーブ要請の受信に応答して前記不揮発性メモリから前記第2マルチメディアファイルを読み取るように構成され、
前記メモリコントローラは、前記複数のエンハンスメントレイヤのうちの1つのエンハンスメントレイヤに対応するデータにおいてエラーを検出したことを受けて、前記1つのエンハンスメントレイヤの重要度レベルを決定し、該重要度レベルが基準レベル以上であると決定した場合には、前記第2マルチメディアファイルを前記第3マルチメディアファイルにトランスコーディングするために、前記1つのエンハンスメントレイヤの読み取り再試みを行い、前記重要度レベルが前記基準レベル未満であると決定した場合には、前記1つのエンハンスメントレイヤを除いて前記第2マルチメディアファイルを前記第3マルチメディアファイルにトランスコーディングするように構成され、前記重要度レベルは、前記1つのエンハンスメントレイヤが高フレームレートレイヤである場合に、前記基準レベル未満であると決定される、
ストレージ装置。 - 前記第1メモリ領域は、シングルレベルセル(SLC)を含み、
前記第2メモリ領域は、マルチレベルセル(MLC)またはトリプルレベルセル(TLC)を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のストレージ装置。 - 前記第1保存信頼性レベルは、前記第1メモリ領域のプログラム/消去サイクルカウントが基準カウント未満であることに基づき、前記第2保存信頼性レベルは、前記第2メモリ領域のプログラム/消去サイクルカウントが前記基準カウント以上であることに基づくことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のストレージ装置。
- 前記第1保存信頼性レベルは、前記第1メモリ領域のエラービットの個数が基準個数未満であることに基づき、前記第2保存信頼性レベルは、前記第2メモリ領域のエラービット個数が前記基準個数以上であることに基づくことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のストレージ装置。
- 前記メモリコントローラは更に、前記1つのエンハンスメントレイヤに対応する前記データにおいて前記エラーを検出したことを受けて、前記ベースレイヤに対応するデータをトランスコーディングし、前記第3マルチメディアファイルを生成するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のストレージ装置。
- 前記第1クライアント装置または前記第2クライアント装置は、前記スケーラブルフォーマットのファイルを再生することができ、
前記メモリコントローラは更に、前記第1クライアント装置または前記第2クライアント装置から、第2解像度または第2ビットレートを有するマルチメディアファイルの第2リトリーブ要請を受信し、前記不揮発性メモリに保存された前記第2マルチメディアファイルから、前記第2リトリーブ要請に対応するデータを読み取り、該読み取ったデータを、前記第1クライアント装置または前記第2クライアント装置に提供するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のストレージ装置。 - 前記読み取ったデータは、前記第2解像度または前記第2ビットレートに従って、前記ベースレイヤに対応するデータ、または前記ベースレイヤ及び前記複数のエンハンスメントレイヤの両方に対応するデータであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のストレージ装置。
- 前記複数のエンハンスメントレイヤは、第1エンハンスメントレイヤ及び第2エンハンスメントレイヤを含み、
前記メモリコントローラは更に、前記第2エンハンスメントレイヤに対応するデータにおいてエラーを検出したことを受けて、前記ベースレイヤ及び前記第1エンハンスメントレイヤに対応するデータを、前記第1クライアント装置または前記第2クライアント装置に提供するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のストレージ装置。 - 前記複数のエンハンスメントレイヤは、第1エンハンスメントレイヤ及び第2エンハンスメントレイヤを含み、
前記メモリコントローラは更に、前記第2エンハンスメントレイヤに対応するデータにおいてエラーを検出したことを受けて、前記ベースレイヤ及び前記第1エンハンスメントレイヤに対応するデータ、並びにエラーメッセージを、前記第1クライアント装置または前記第2クライアント装置に提供するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のストレージ装置。 - 前記メモリコントローラは、
前記第2マルチメディアファイルを前記不揮発性メモリに保存するための物理アドレスを決定するオブジェクトマッパと、
前記物理アドレスを、前記第2マルチメディアファイルと係わるオブジェクトIDにマッピングするマッピングテーブルと、をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のストレージ装置。 - 前記オブジェクトマッパは、前記第2マルチメディアファイルに含まれたデータの重要度及びビットレートのうち少なくとも一つを基に、前記物理アドレスを決定することを特徴とする請求項10に記載のストレージ装置。
- 前記メモリコントローラは更に、前記不揮発性メモリに保存されたノンスケーラブルフォーマットを有する第4マルチメディアファイルを、前記スケーラブルフォーマットを有する第5マルチメディアファイルにトランスコーディングし、前記第5マルチメディアファイルを、前記不揮発性メモリに保存するように、前記不揮発性メモリを制御するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のストレージ装置。
- 請求項1ないし12のいずれか1項に記載のストレージ装置を含むストレージサーバ。
