Description
本出願は2018年5月10日に出願された米国特許出願第15/976,612号、および2018年1月8日に出願された米国特許出願第15/742,813号の利益を主張し、これらの両方は、その全体が参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。

Claims (18)
- 向かい合った第1の表面及び第2の表面並びに厚さを有する金属層と、
前記金属層の前記第1の表面の第1の切り抜き領域であって、前記金属層の厚さより小さい深さを有する第1の切り抜き領域と、
前記第1の切り抜き領域内に固定された第1の部分及びモジュールアンテナを備える第2の部分を有する集積回路(IC)モジュールと、
前記金属層の前記第1の表面から前記第2の表面まで延在する第2の切り抜き領域であって、非RF妨害容積を規定するとともに前記第1の切り抜き領域の周辺部より大きい周辺部を有する第2の切り抜き領域と、
前記金属層の前記第2の表面に堆積された一つ以上の追加層であって、ブースターアンテナの層を有する追加層と、
前記一つ以上の追加層の少なくとも一つと前記ICモジュールの間に延在する垂直孔と、
を有し、
前記ICモジュールの前記第2の部分は、前記孔に配置され、前記モジュールアンテナは、前記ブースターアンテナに物理的に結合された、取引カード。 - 前記第2の切り抜き領域の周辺部は、前記第1の切り抜き領域の周辺部に対して対称に配置された、請求項1に記載の取引カード。
- 前記金属層の前記第2の表面に堆積された一つ以上の追加層は、RF遮蔽層を有する、請求項1に記載の取引カード。
- 前記RF遮蔽層は、フェライトを含む、請求項3に記載の取引カード。
- 前記金属層の前記第2の表面に堆積された一つ以上の追加層は、接着層を有する、請求項1に記載の取引カード。
- 前記モジュールアンテナは、溶接接続によって前記ブースターアンテナに物理的に結合された、請求項1に記載の取引カード。
- 前記非RF妨害容積は、前記第2の切り抜き領域内に固定された非RF妨害材料のプラグを有する、請求項1に記載の取引カード。
- 前記プラグは、前記第2の切り抜き領域の形状に対応する形状を有する、請求項7に記載の取引カード。
- 前記プラグは、ポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)を含む、請求項7に記載の取引カード。
- 前記孔の一部は、前記プラグ内に規定される、請求項7に記載の取引カード。
- 前記ICモジュールの第2の部分は、前記プラグの前記孔の一部に配置される、請求項7に記載の取引カード。
- 前記金属層は、ステンレス鋼を含む、請求項1に記載の取引カード。
- 前記金属層と前記金属層の前記第2の表面に堆積された一つ以上の追加層とは、互いに積層されている、請求項1に記載の取引カード。
- 前記金属層の前記第2の表面に堆積された一つ以上の追加層は、RF遮蔽層と接着層とのうちの少なくとも一つを有する、請求項1に記載の取引カード。
- 前記ICモジュールは、デュアルインタフェースICモジュールである、請求項1に記載の取引カード。
- 向かい合った第1の表面及び第2の表面並びに厚さを有するステンレス鋼を含む金属層と、
前記金属層の前記第1の表面の第1の切り抜き領域であって、前記金属層の厚さより小さい深さを有する第1の切り抜き領域と、
前記第1の切り抜き領域内に固定された第1の部分を有する集積回路(IC)モジュールと、
前記金属層の前記第1の表面から前記第2の表面まで延在する第2の切り抜き領域であって、非RF妨害容積を規定するとともに前記第1の切り抜き領域の周辺部より大きい周辺部を有する第2の切り抜き領域と、
前記第2の切り抜き領域内に固定されたPVCプラグと、
前記金属層の前記第2の表面に堆積された一つ以上の追加層であって、接着層と、RF遮蔽層と、ブースターアンテナを含むブースターアンテナの層とのうちの少なくとも一つを有する追加層と、
前記一つ以上の追加層の少なくとも一つと前記ICモジュールの間に延在する垂直孔であって、前記プラグが前記第2の切り抜き領域内に固定され、前記垂直孔の一部が前記プラグに形成され、前記ICモジュールのモジュールアンテナの部分が前記孔内に配置されるとともに前記ブースターアンテナに物理的に結合された垂直孔と、
を有する取引カード。 - 請求項1に記載の取引カードを製造する方法であって、
前記金属層を選択するステップと、
前記金属層を前記金属層の前記第1の表面からの第1の深さまでミリングすることによって前記第1の切り抜き領域を形成するステップと、
前記金属層を前記金属層の前記第2の表面から前記金属層の前記第1の表面からの第1の深さまでミリングすることによって前記第1の切り抜き領域を形成するステップと、
前記一つ以上の追加層少なくとも一つをミリングすることによって前記孔を形成するステップと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記非RF妨害材料のプラグを前記第2の切り抜き領域内に固定するステップを更に含み、前記孔を形成するステップは、前記プラグの前記孔の一部をミリングするステップを含む、請求項17に記載の方法。
