Description
本出願は、2016年11月2日付けで出願された「SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REDUCING THE VISCOSITY OF BLOOD, SUPPRESSING TURBULENCE IN BLOOD CIRCULATION, AND CURING ROULEAUX」と題する米国仮出願第62/416,270号に関し、またこの優先権を主張する。前記米国仮出願の内容はあらゆる目的のために全体を参照することによって本明細書中に援用される。
流れ方向に沿った血液粘度が低減され、乱流が抑制されると、血液層流が改善され、心臓に対する作業負荷が低下させられ、血圧が低減される。これらの結果は以下の臨床試験例によって支持される。この試験例の結果は表1に示されている。磁界が印加される前には、被験者の血圧は、収縮期血圧140mmHg及び拡張期血圧99mmHgであった。次いで被験者は図10A及び10Bのシステムを使用した。このシステムにおいて、被験者は右腕を治療領域内に挿入した。腕内の血流に対して平行に磁界を印加した。10分間の治療時間後、患者の血圧は下に示すように、115/75mmHgまで下がった。
Claims (4)
- 血液粘度を低減するとともに血流中の乱流を抑制するシステムであって、
患者の身体の部位を取り囲むように配置される環状磁石を備え、
前記環状磁石は、
前記部位内の血流に対し、磁力線の方向が該血流の方向と平行又は逆平行となるとともに該磁力線の方向が時間変化しない、一方向の静磁界を印加し、
前記血流に沿った血液粘度を所定の量だけ低減するとともに該血流中の乱流を所定の量だけ抑制するように、該血流に対し前記一方向の静磁界を継続して印加する
ように構成される、システム。 - 前記一方向の静磁界の強度は、1テスラ以上である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記環状磁石は、前記部位として患者の肢を取り囲むように配置される、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記環状磁石は、電磁石、永久磁石、及び超電導磁石から成る群から選択された磁石である、請求項3に記載のシステム。
