Description
The present invention relates to a simulation method, a simulation method, and a program.
When a failure occurs in the extrusion process of polymeric materials such as rubber, simulation is used to check for problems with the flow of polymeric materials in the die channels (pipes) to identify the cause of the failure. It is effective to For example,
By the way, it is known that when a polymeric material is extruded into the atmosphere from a die outlet, a die swell phenomenon (or ballast effect) occurs in which the cross section of the extrudate becomes larger than the cross section of the die outlet. In order to confirm the flow of polymer material in the die channel by simulation, it is important to reproduce the analytical model in a state close to the actual state. Therefore, it is preferable to model the area after the exit of the die in addition to the model of the die flow path to reproduce the die swell phenomenon.

An object of the present invention is to model a region after the exit of a die and to prevent divergence of calculation results in a simulation apparatus, a simulation method, and a program.
A first aspect of the present invention is a simulation device for simulating the flow of a fluid extruded from a die channel, comprising an input unit for inputting information, a storage unit for recording information, and through the input unit A first analysis unit and a second analysis unit that perform analysis based on input data or data read from the storage unit, wherein the first analysis unit reproduces the die flow path a die flow path model creation unit that creates a model; a die flow path FEM modeling unit that creates a die flow path FEM model by dividing the die flow path model into a finite number of elements for analysis; A first analysis condition definition section that defines analysis conditions in the FEM model, and a fluid flow simulation calculation is performed for the die flow path FEM model for which the analysis conditions are defined in the first analysis condition definition section, and the die flow a preliminary calculation unit that performs preliminary calculations to obtain parameters of the fluid at the outlet of the channel model, and the second analysis unit creates an extrusion channel model that is connected downstream from the outlet of the die channel model. an extrusion channel model creation unit that divides the die channel model and the extrusion channel model into a finite number of elements for analysis to create an overall FEM model; a second analysis condition definition unit that defines analysis conditions, and in particular defines a boundary condition to be continuous at the outlet of the die flow path model based on the parameters obtained by the preliminary calculation; A simulation apparatus is provided, comprising: a main calculation unit that performs fluid flow simulation calculations for the entire FEM model for which analysis conditions are defined by a condition definition unit.
According to this configuration, a flow path model including not only a die flow path model that models the die flow path but also an extrusion flow path model that models the area after the exit of the die is used for analysis considering the die swell phenomenon. It can be performed. At this time, a preliminary calculation is performed by the first analysis unit, and parameters such as the stress component of the fluid at the outlet of the die channel are obtained in advance. Then, in the second analysis unit, based on the parameters obtained by the preliminary calculation, the boundary conditions are defined so as to be continuous at the exit of the die flow path model, and then the overall analysis is performed. Therefore, it is possible to prevent sudden changes in values such as velocity and stress in the flow path model, prevent divergence of calculation results, and perform stable analysis.
The analysis conditions defined in the second analysis condition definition part include the internal stress of the fluid and the shear stress on the wall surface, and in the extrusion flow path model, a predetermined distance downstream from the outlet of the die flow path model The internal stress is interpolated in the interpolation area so that the pressure reaches the atmospheric pressure at the most downstream of the interpolation area, and the shear stress becomes zero at the most downstream of the interpolation area. may be interpolated in the interpolation area as follows.
According to this configuration, by interpolating the boundary conditions of the interpolation area, it is possible to prevent sudden changes in values. Specifically, by nature, the internal stress, shear stress, and velocity components change abruptly out of the outlet of the die channel. However, such abrupt changes may cause the solution to oscillate and the analysis to become unstable. Therefore, by providing an interpolation area and interpolating the parameters within the interpolation area so as not to make the parameters discontinuous, it is possible to prevent sudden changes in values due to changes in boundary conditions.
Interpolating the internal stress and the shear stress in the interpolating region may be linear interpolation.
According to this method, since linear interpolation is adopted as the interpolation method, the setting is simple and the calculation cost can be reduced.
Interpolating the internal stress and the shear stress in the interpolating region may be higher order interpolation.
According to this configuration, since high-order interpolation is employed as the interpolation method, interpolation with a higher degree of freedom than linear interpolation is possible.
The interpolation region may have a length that includes at least three of the elements of the die channel FEM model in the direction of flow of the fluid.
According to this configuration, when the extrusion channel model is divided into a finite number of elements for analysis, the interpolation area is provided with at least three elements in the fluid flow direction. Since analysis points are set between elements, at least two analysis points are provided within the interpolation area. Therefore, it is possible to perform highly accurate analysis using a plurality of analysis points.

I will provide a.
The analysis conditions defined in the second analysis include the internal stress of the fluid and the shear stress on the wall surface, and in the extrusion channel model, the area from the outlet of the die channel model to a predetermined distance downstream is an interpolation region, the internal stress is interpolated in the interpolation region so that it becomes atmospheric pressure at the most downstream of the interpolation region, and the shear stress is interpolated so that it becomes zero at the most downstream of the interpolation region. It may be interpolated in the interpolation domain.
Interpolating the internal stress and the shear stress in the interpolating region may be linear interpolation.
Interpolating the internal stress and the shear stress in the interpolating region may be higher order interpolation.
The interpolation region may have a length that includes at least three of the elements of the die channel FEM model in the direction of flow of the fluid.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The simulation device of the present embodiment analyzes the flow of rubber (an example of fluid) that is used as a material for tires of automobiles and the like. However, the following description is an example, and the simulation device can be used for analysis of various fluid flows other than rubber flow analysis.
Referring to FIG. 1,
FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing an example of a
The
The

According to the

11 and 12 show an example of quadratic interpolation in this modification. That is, the parameters σ and τ of the interpolation regions at positions x1 to x2 are interpolated by a quadratic function. According to this modified example, as described above, an interpolation area is provided, and interpolation is performed within the
