It is composed of a second cushioning member 8 arranged between the two.

The display panel 1 is made of, for example, a TFT (Thin Film Transistor) type liquid crystal display (LCD: Liquid Crystal Display). Further, the display panel 1 displays vehicle information such as the vehicle speed 11a and the remaining fuel 11b on the display screen 11.

Further, the display panel 1 has a flexible wiring board (FPC: Flexible Printed Circuits) (not shown), and the flexible wiring board is connected to a connector mounted on the circuit board 4 to be energized with the circuit board 4. Ru.

The protective cover 2 is made of a translucent synthetic resin (for example, acrylic), is formed in a flat shape, and covers the front surface of the display panel 1. Further, the protective cover 2 has a light-shielding portion 22 on which a light-shielding ink is printed on the back surface. The light-shielding portion 22 is formed up to the outer peripheral edge of the protective cover 2, except for the translucent portion 21 that allows the display screen 11 of the display panel 1 to be seen through. Further, the light-shielding portion 22 is formed so that the adhesive member 6 cannot be visually recognized from the front surface side. The protective cover 2 may be made of inorganic glass.

The display panel 1 and the protective cover 2 are adhered to each other by the transparent resin layer 9. The transparent resin layer 9 is composed of a transparent optical adhesive (OCA) sheet, and is laminated without a gap between the back surface of the protective cover 2 and the display screen 11 on the front surface of the display panel 1, and both are overlapped with each other. Glue. The transparent resin layer 9 may be filled with a gel-like transparent material.

The transparent resin layer 9 has a thickness of about 300 μm to 1000 μm and a refractive index of 1.45 to 1.55, which is substantially the same as the refractive index of the protective cover 2. It is set.

Further, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the transparent resin layer 9 is formed so as to face the translucent portion 21 and overlap the light-shielding portion 22. Further, the transparent resin layer 9 is applied to at least one of the display panel 1 and the protective cover 2 when the display panel 1 and the protective cover 2 are joined, and then the display panel 1 and the protective cover 2 are bonded to each other by using the transparent resin layer 9. By curing the transparent resin layer 9 (for example, UV curing), adhesiveness can be obtained.

The lighting member 3 is arranged behind the display panel 1 and illuminates the display panel 1 in a transmitted manner. Further, the lighting member 3 includes a light source 31, a light guide member 32 that guides light from the light source 31, and an optical sheet 33 that transmits light from the light guide member 32.

The light source 31 is composed of a top-view type chip-type light emitting diode (LED: Light Emitting Diode) that emits an appropriate color. A plurality of light sources 31 are mounted on the light source substrate 34. The light source substrate 34 is fixed to the housing member 5. Further, the light source substrate 34 is connected to the circuit board 4 by various conductive means such as FPC.

As shown in FIG. 3, the light guide member 32 is made of a translucent synthetic resin (for example, acrylic), receives the irradiation light from the end portion 32a by lighting the light source 31, and emits light into the light guide member 32. Is incident, and the light is emitted toward the display panel 1. Further, a reflective sheet 35 is closely arranged behind the light guide member 32. The reflective sheet 35 is made of a white resin sheet, improves the light guiding efficiency of the light guiding the light guide member 32, and reflects the light toward the display panel 1.

尚、本開示のプリズムシートは、表面に凹凸のあるBEF(Brightness Enhancement Film)等の光学フィルムである。 The optical sheet 33 is arranged between the display panel 1 and the light guide member 32, and diffuses the illumination light emitted from the light guide member 32. In the present disclosure, the optical sheet 33 includes two prism sheets 33a and 33b having streaky irregularities on the surface provided on the front surface, and one diffusion sheet 33c having grain-like irregularities on the surface provided behind the prism sheets 33a and 33b. A total of 3 sheets are provided. The prism sheet of the present disclosure is an optical film such as BEF (Brightness Enhancement Film) having an uneven surface. The number, order, and types of the optical sheets 33 may be appropriately set and arranged.

Further, as shown in FIG. 4, the light guide member 32, the optical sheet 33, and the reflective sheet 35 each have a positioning hole H. The positioning hole H is inserted into the positioning pin 52 formed in the housing member 5. By being formed in this way, the light guide member 32, the optical sheet 33, and the reflective sheet 35 are positioned on the housing member 5.

The circuit board 4 is made of a hard wiring board in which a wiring pattern is applied to a flat glass epoxy-based substrate such as FR-4 (Flame Retardant-4). Further, the circuit board 4 mounts various circuit components (not shown) such as a control means, a resistor, and a capacitor for outputting a command signal (drive signal) for driving and controlling the display panel 1 and the light source board 34.

Further, the circuit board 4 is housed in a convex portion 51 formed by a part of the housing member 5 behind the lighting member 3 projecting to the rear. Further, the circuit board 4 is fixed to the housing member 5 with a fixing tool such as a screw. Further, the circuit board 4 is electrically connected to the display panel 1 and the light source board 34.

The housing member 5 is made of a metal such as magnesium and is formed in a box shape having an open front, and houses a display panel 1, a lighting member 3, and a circuit board 4 inside. Further, as a measure for preventing the surface of the housing member 5 from being oxidized, for example, the entire surface of the housing member 5 is subjected to an anodic oxide film treatment. As shown in FIG. 4, the convex portion 51 accommodating the circuit board 4 is formed inside the outer shape of the housing member 5. The housing member 5 may be made of a metal such as aluminum.

The first cushioning member 7 is made of a material such as rubber or sponge, which has elasticity and is light-shielding, such as black, and is formed into a thick substantially rectangular shape. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the first cushioning member 7 has a repulsive force by being held in a compressed state between the display panel 1 and the lighting member 3, and functions as a vibration isolator for the lighting member 3. do.

Further, as shown in FIG. 4, the first cushioning member 7 is arranged on the outer periphery of the lighting member 3, and a double-sided adhesive tape is attached to the surface of the lighting member 3 side, and is attached to the lighting member 3. .. Further, since the first cushioning member 7 is arranged inside the coating range of the adhesive member 6, the adhesive member 6 flows into the gap between the display panel 1 and the lighting member 3 when the adhesive member 6 is applied. It can be prevented.

The second cushioning member 8 is made of a thick double-sided tape having a light-shielding property such as black. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the second cushioning member 8 is held between the protective cover 2 and the housing member 5. Further, the second cushioning member 8 is arranged so as to surround the outer periphery of the protective cover 2, and adheres the protective cover 2 and the housing member 5.

By being formed in this way, the instrument device 100 is formed of a housing closed by the protective cover 2 and the housing member 5.

The adhesive member 6 is made of an adhesive epoxy resin material, a silicon resin material, or the like, and is a room temperature curable adhesive that is initially liquid and has fluidity and is later cured by natural drying (later heat is applied). It may be a thermosetting adhesive that cures in addition). Further, the adhesive member 6 is made of a black colored adhesive containing a black pigment and has a light-shielding property. Further, as shown in FIG. 2, the adhesive member 6 is injected between the side surface of the lighting member 3 and the housing member 5, and both are adhered and fixed.

Further, as shown in FIG. 4, the adhesive member 6 is applied to three sides other than the light source 31 on the outer periphery of the lighting member 3. That is, the adhesive member 6 adheres and fixes the optical sheet 33, the light guide member 32, the reflective sheet 35, and the housing member 5. By being formed in this way, it is possible to avoid the possibility that the adhesive member 6 is applied to the light source 31 and the light from the light source 31 is shielded.

As described above, by being formed in this way, the protective cover 2 and the housing member 5 are adhered to each other by the second cushioning member 8 in the surface direction of the protective cover 2, so that a fixing structure having a large width is not required. Further, since the housing member 5 is made of metal, the plate thickness can be reduced. Further, since the lighting member 3 and the housing member 5 are fixed by the adhesive member 6, a fixing structure having a large width is not required. Therefore, it is possible to provide a display device having a small distance between the display screen 11 and the outer shape of the instrument device 100 (the width W in the outer peripheral direction of the light-shielding portion 22 is small) and having a high-quality commercial value.

Further, by being formed in this way, since only the transparent resin layer 9 is formed between the protective cover 2 and the display panel 1 in the normal direction of the protective cover 2, the gap can be reduced. Further, since the lighting member 3 and the housing member 5 are in close contact with each other, the void can be made almost zero (zero). Further, since the housing member 5 is made of metal, the plate thickness can be reduced. Further, the convex portion 51 of the housing member 5 is not formed on the outer peripheral side. Therefore, it is possible to provide a display device having a thin thickness T on the front surface of the protective cover 2 and the back surface of the housing member 5 and having a high appearance and high commercial value.

A second embodiment of the present disclosure is shown in FIG. The same parts and equal parts as those of the first embodiment described above will be described with the same reference numerals.

In the first embodiment, the adhesive member 6 adheres and fixes the optical sheet 33, the light guide member 32, the reflective sheet 35, and the housing member 5 to the adhesive member 6, but in the second embodiment, the adhesive member 6 is adhered and fixed. The adhesive member 6 adheres and fixes only the optical sheet 33 and the housing member 5. More specifically, the adhesive member 6 is applied only to the prism sheet 33a, and only the prism sheet 33a is adhered to the housing member 5. At this time, the prism sheet 33b, the diffusion sheet 33c, the light guide member 32, and the reflective sheet 35 are appropriately fixed with double-sided tape.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 5, since the prism sheet 33a has a larger outer shape than the prism sheet 33b and the diffusion sheet 33c, it is easy to bond only the prism sheet 33a to the housing member 5. Can be done.

By being formed in this way, the coating amount of the adhesive member 6 can be reduced, and the time of the coating process of the adhesive member 6 can be shortened.

Although the display device of the present invention has been described by way of example in the configuration of the above-described embodiment, the present invention is not limited to this, and other configurations do not deviate from the gist of the present invention. Of course, various improvements and design changes are possible.
