Description
市場をリードする使い捨て型のイーシガレット(以下、「A」と称する)を購入し、本発明のイーシガレット(以下、「B」と称する)と比較した。両製品は同一の寸法であり、可能な限り、(リザーバ以外は)同等の部品を使用した。また、綿スリーブ11を装置Bから抜いた。本発明によるイーシガレットのリザーバは、外径が7.5mm、内径が4.25mm、長さが33mm、重量は0.205gである(上述したように、これは0.21g/ccの接着繊維密度を提供する)。このリザーバに2%のニコチンを含有する1.2gのプロピレングリコール(イーリキッド)を充填した。このイーリキッドは、従来型の巻かれた不織バットからなるリザーバを特徴とする、先行技術による装置Aにおいて使用されたイーリキッドに関する我々の分析と同等である。続いて、これらの2種類の製品を、容積が55mLで、持続時間が3秒間の矩形波の吸入を1分当たり2回実施する標準喫煙機を用いて分析した。そして、1〜40、41〜80、81〜120、121〜160、161〜200、201〜240回目の吸入における蒸気を収集した。典型的には、240回の吸入が、装置が使い切られるまでに消費者が使い捨て型のイーシガレットから得られる最大限の吸入数であると考えられる。装置が240回の吸入まで持たない場合、消費者は不満であろう。
本発明のリザーバの抽出効果を、複数の二成分繊維を有する多孔性要素を備えない対抗品のリザーバと比較した。実施例1と同じく、本発明によるイーシガレットのリザーバは、外径が7.5mm、内径が4.25mm、長さが33mm、重量は0.205gである(これは、上述したように、0.21g/ccの接着繊維密度を有する二成分繊維を提供する)。本発明のリザーバおよび2種類の対抗品に(実施例1と同一の)イーリキッドを以下の表2に記載の容量だけ充填した。続いて、製品を容積が55mLで、持続時間が3秒間の矩形波の吸入を1分当たり2回実施する標準喫煙機を用いて分析した。
Claims (6)
- 0.17〜0.26g/ccの接着繊維密度を有する複数の二成分繊維を有する多孔性の要素を備え、また、任意に流体を備え、前記二成分繊維は、ポリプロピレンまたはポリブチレンテレフタレートからなるコア(第1の成分)を備え、該コアは、ポリエチレンテレフタレートまたはその共重合体からなるシース(第2の成分)によって包囲され、前記二成分繊維は、10〜30ミクロンの平均直径を有する、イーシガレット用の流体リザーバ。
- 前記要素は、長手方向に延在する(例えば、ロッド形状の)要素である、請求項1に記載の流体リザーバ。
- 前記二成分繊維は、前記要素を長手方向に貫通する少なくとも1つのチャネルを画定する、請求項1または2に記載の流体リザーバ。
- 前記要素が長手方向に延在する管状要素である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の流体リザーバ。
- 1種類以上の溶剤ならびに風味剤および/またはニコチンを含む流体を備える、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の流体リザーバ。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の流体リザーバを備える喫煙物品。
