Claims (13)
- 子宮ポリープを切除するための組織切除デバイスであって、
長手方向軸線を有する細長い構造体を有し、前記細長い構造体は、子宮ポリープ組織を受入れるように構成された遠位窓を含む外側スリーブと、前記窓に対する近位位置と遠位位置の間を移動するように構成された内側スリーブを含み、
更に、第1の極性を有する電極要素を有し、前記電極要素は、前記内側スリーブに結合され、前記窓を横切るように近位位置と遠位位置の間を移動可能であり、
更に、前記電極要素の近位側の前記内側スリーブを覆う絶縁層を有し、前記絶縁層の一部分は、遠位位置において前記窓の中で露出され、
前記絶縁層は、子宮ポリープ組織よりも繊維質の組織を切除するのに使用されるときに前記絶縁層と前記内側スリーブの間の接触程度が減少される耐摩耗性の低い材料で構成され、前記内側スリーブの一部分を露出させ、前記電極要素と前記外側スリーブとの間の電気経路を変更し、前記外側スリーブは、第1の極性と反対の第2の極性を有する戻り電極として機能する、組織切除デバイス。 - 前記絶縁層は、子宮ポリープ組織よりも繊維質である組織を切除するのに使用されるとき、前記内側スリーブから剥離するように構成される、請求項1に記載の組織切除デバイス。
- 前記絶縁層は、前記電極要素に直接に結合される、請求項1又は2に記載の組織切除デバイス。
- 前記遠位窓は、約5mm〜約10mmの長手方向長さを有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の組織切除デバイス。
- 前記遠位窓は、約8mmの長手方向長さを有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の組織切除デバイス。
- 前記絶縁層は、フッ化エチレンプロピレン(FEP)を含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の組織切除デバイス。
- 前記内側スリーブは、304ステンレススチールを含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の組織切除デバイス。
- 前記外側スリーブは、304ステンレススチールを含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の組織切除デバイス。
- 前記絶縁層は、約0.0127mm〜約0.038mmの厚さを有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の組織切除デバイス。
- 医療デバイスシステムであって、
細長いプローブを有し、前記細長いプローブは、
外側スリーブと、内側スリーブと、前記内側スリーブの遠位端部の近くに配置された電極要素と、前記内側スリーブに結合され且つ前記内側スリーブを前記外側スリーブから絶縁する絶縁層を含み、前記外側スリーブは、その遠位端部の近くに配置された窓を含み、 前記絶縁層は、前記細長いプローブが子宮筋腫を切除するのに使用されるときに前記内側スリーブから剥ぎ取られる耐摩耗性の低い材料で構成され、
前記医療デバイスシステムは、更に、前記内側スリーブを前記外側スリーブに対して往復動させるためのモータと、
組織を切除するエネルギを前記電極要素から送出するためのRF発生器と、を有する医療デバイスシステム。 - 前記絶縁層は、前記電極要素の少なくとも一部分に結合される、請求項10に記載の医療デバイスシステム。
- 前記窓は、約5mm〜約10mmの長手方向長さを有する、請求項10又は11に記載の医療デバイスシステム。
- 前記遠位窓は、約8mmの長手方向長さを有する、請求項10〜12のいずれか1項に記載の医療デバイスシステム。
