The connector relay member may be used to connect, for example, an automatic transmission of an automobile to a harness circuit. At this time, a circuit unit for controlling the automatic transmission may need to be added.

The present invention will be described in detail based on the illustrated embodiment.

1 is a perspective view of the connector relay member according to the first embodiment as viewed from the front, FIG. 2 is a front view, FIG. 3 is a perspective view as viewed from the rear, FIG. 4 is a rear view, and FIG.

This connector relay member is used, for example, in a part of a harness circuit of an automobile. A base 1 made of a synthetic resin material having electrical insulation has a cylindrical shape, a partition wall 2 is provided at an intermediate portion, and first and second circular or square cross sections for inserting connectors on both sides of the partition wall 2. Two insertion portions 3 and 4 are formed.

A plurality of, for example, 17 metal relay pin members 5 as shown in FIG. 6 are inserted through the partition wall 2 in the front-rear direction. The insertion ends 5a and 5b having male protrusions on both sides of the relay pin member 5 protrude from the partition wall 2 in the first and second insertion portions 3 and 4, respectively.

The relay pin member 5 is formed by stamping a metal plate, and a central portion 5c at the center of the pin main body is inserted into the partition 1 by being molded in the partition wall 2 during injection molding of the substrate 1. The central portion 5c is wider than the insertion ends 5a and 5b, and has a saw-tooth shape on both sides as necessary. Therefore, even if a force is applied in the longitudinal direction of the insertion ends 5a and 5b, the insertion ends 5a and 5b are prevented from easily falling out of the partition wall 2.

At a position above the relay pin member 5, for example, a plurality of circuit pin members 6 formed by stamping out, for example, five metal plates as shown in FIG. And are molded in a line by injection molding.

An insertion end 6a having a protrusion at one end of the circuit pin member 6 protrudes into the first insertion portion 3, and a connection end 6b at the other end has an L-shaped tip on the second insertion portion 4 side. And is connected to the circuit unit 7. Similarly to the relay pin member 5, the central portion 6c is wider than the insertion end 6a and the connection end 6b, and both sides are saw-toothed.

The circuit unit 7 is provided on the side of the second insertion portion 4 of the base 1, and is mounted in a frame 8 surrounding the circuit unit 7. The circuit unit 7 is an electronic circuit board, and an electronic circuit section 7b for performing various arithmetic processes is overlaid on a board section 7a on which a circuit pattern is formed.

A plurality of conduction holes 7c for conducting circuit patterns are formed in the substrate portion 7a. Five connection ends 6b each having a bent tip of the circuit pin member 6 are inserted into these conductive holes 7c, and are fixed by soldering. Various signals input from the insertion end 6a are processed by the electronic circuit unit 7b that is electrically connected.

Further, in order to reduce the bulk of the base 1, the plurality of circuit pin members 6 are arranged in a line in a plane with respect to the base 1, and at a position offset with respect to the relay pin member 5, for example, in FIG. Are preferably arranged on the upper end side.

The overhang 9 provided on the side of the base 1 is used for fixing the connector relay member to, for example, a frame of an automobile.

If the connector relay member needs to have liquid resistance, potting is performed on the mounted circuit unit 7 and around the connection end 6b of the circuit pin member 6 with epoxy resin or the like. When potting is performed, it is preferable to fill the upper end of the frame portion 8 with an epoxy resin or the like. At the same time, potting is performed around the base of the insertion end of the relay pin member 5 in the second insertion portion 4 to perform liquid-resistant treatment.

The first connector 3 shown in FIG. 8 is inserted into the first insertion portion 3, and the first connector 11 is connected to an automatic transmission of a vehicle to be controlled, for example, so that the first connector 11 shown in FIG. The receiving connection terminal incorporated in the section is fitted and electrically connected to the insertion end 5a of the relay pin member 5.

Similarly, the insertion end 6a of the circuit pin member 6 in the first insertion portion 3 is connected to another receiving portion built in the back portion of the guide holes 11b provided in a line above the first connector 11. Fitted to the connection terminal.

The second connector 12 shown in FIG. 9 is inserted into the second insertion portion 4. The second connector is connected to, for example, a harness circuit of an automobile, so that the receiving connection terminal built in the inner part of the guide hole 12a is fitted and electrically connected to the insertion end 5b of the relay pin member 5. Is done.

Although electric wires are respectively connected to the receiving and connecting terminals in the first and second connectors 11, 12, illustration of these electric wires is omitted.

In a state where the first and second connectors 11 and 12 are inserted into the first and second insertion portions 3 and 4 of the base 1, respectively, the first and second connectors 11 and 12 are provided by a locking mechanism whose description is omitted. , 12 are lockable with respect to the connector relay member so that they do not come off accidentally.

The first connector 11 is connected to, for example, an automatic transmission of an automobile, and the receiving connection terminal formed of a part of the female terminal in the first connector 11 is connected to a relay pin in the first insertion portion 3 of the base 1. The receiving terminal is connected to the insertion end 5 a of the member 5, and the other receiving connection terminal is connected to the insertion end 6 a of the circuit pin member 6.

On the other hand, the second connector 12 is connected to, for example, the harness circuit side of the automobile, and the receiving connection terminal formed of a female terminal in the second connector 12 is connected to the relay in the second insertion portion 4 via the guide hole 12a. Connected to the insertion end 5b of the pin member 5 for use.

Thereby, the receiving and connecting terminals of the first and second connectors 11 and 12 are connected via the relay pin member 5, and the circuit unit 7 is connected via the receiving and connecting terminals in the first connector 11. For example, it is connected to an automatic transmission and contributes to various calculations and controls.

The central portions 5c and 6c of the relay pin member 5 and the circuit pin member 6 are wide and, preferably, have a saw-tooth shape on both sides, so that the first and second connectors 11 and 12 can be inserted. At the time of wearing, it does not move even if a force is applied from the receiving connection terminal of the other party.

10 is a perspective view of the relay member according to the second embodiment as viewed from the front, FIG. 11 is a front view, FIG. 12 is a perspective view as viewed from the rear, FIG. 13 is a rear view, and FIG. The same reference numerals as those in the first embodiment denote members having the same functions.

In the first embodiment, the circuit pin member 6 is molded on the base 1 at the time of injection molding. In the second embodiment, the circuit pin member 6 and the circuit unit 7 are assembled, and then the circuit pin member 6 is removed. The difference lies in that it is inserted into the insertion hole of the partition wall 2 and attached to the base 1.

That is, as shown in FIG. 15, the circuit unit 7 is fixed to the connection terminals 6b of, for example, five circuit pin members 6 in advance by soldering, and the circuit pin members are inserted into the insertion holes provided in the partition wall 2. 6 is inserted and attached.

Above the second insertion portion 4, a hole-shaped insertion port 10 for inserting and housing the circuit unit 7 is formed, and a circuit pin member 6 is provided in the partition wall 2 at the back of the insertion port 10. Insertion holes for individual insertion are provided.

As shown in FIG. 15, the circuit unit 7 to which the circuit pin member 6 is attached is inserted into the insertion port 10 from the insertion end 6a of the circuit pin member 6 and is pushed in, so that the insertion end of the circuit pin member 6 is inserted. 6a protrudes into the first insertion portion 3 of the base 1 through the insertion hole of the partition.

After the circuit unit 7 is inserted into the insertion port 10, the insertion port 10 is filled with an epoxy resin or the like, so that the liquid resistance of the circuit unit 7 is ensured. Since the circuit unit 7 is fixed by the filling of the resin, the circuit pin member 6 is not pushed back and moved by the insertion of the first connector 11.

Regarding the overhang portion 9, the connector relay member of the first embodiment is limited to the frame portion 8 by the frame portion 8, whereas the connector relay member of the second embodiment is located in the insertion slot 10. Since the circuit unit 7 is accommodated, the installation location is not limited, and can be arranged at an appropriate location.

As described above, also in the second embodiment, the circuit unit 7 can be prevented from being damaged by housing the circuit unit 7 in a part of the connector relay member without using a lead wire. Further, the circuit unit 7 can be installed without increasing the size of the circuit relay member.
