Description
Claims (15)
- 液体電解質が入っている複数のセルを有するバッテリのためのバッテリ電解液面監視システムであって、
前記液体電解質バッテリの前記複数のセルの一つのセルに挿入するためのプローブと、コントローラとを備え、
前記プローブは、
基準電極と、
前記プローブの長手方向に配置される複数のアレイ電極を含む電極アレイであって、前記基準電極は、各アレイ電極に容量的に結合される、電極アレイとを
を含み、
前記コントローラは、前記電極アレイに電気的に結合され、
前記コントローラは、各アレイ電極のために、前記基準電極と前記アレイ電極との間の前記容量結合の測定値を判定し、
各アレイ電極のために測定される値を格納し、
各アレイ電極のために測定される値の平均値を経時的に判定し、
各アレイ電極のための前記平均値を格納し、
各アレイ電極のための前記平均値を、前記液体電解質バッテリの前記一つのセル内の前記液体電解質のレベルの許容範囲に対応する所定の範囲と比較し、
前記アレイ電極の前記平均値のいずれか一つが、前記所定の範囲を超える場合、第1の出力を提供し、
前記アレイ電極の前記平均値のすべてが、前記所定の範囲内にある場合、第2の出力を提供し、
前記アレイ電極の前記平均値のいずれか一つが、前記所定の範囲より低い場合、第3の出力を提供し、
前記第1の出力、前記第2の出力、前記第3の出力は、互いに異なるように適合される、
バッテリ電解液面監視システム。 - 前記電極アレイは、前記基準電極から横方向にオフセットされ、且つ前記基準電極と長さにおいて同延である、請求項1に記載のバッテリ電解液面監視システム。
- 前記プローブは、前記プローブの端部に温度センサを更に含む、請求項1に記載のバッテリ電解液面監視システム。
- それぞれ、前記第1、前記第2及び前記第3の出力を提供する、第1、第2、第3の内蔵表示器を更に含む、請求項1に記載のバッテリ電解液面監視システム。
- 前記コントローラは、前記第1、前記第2及び前記第3の出力を送信するように動作可能な通信モジュールを更に含む、請求項7に記載のバッテリ電解液面監視システム。
- 前記コントローラに応答し、
前記液体電解質バッテリ内への液体のフローを制御するように動作可能なバッテリ給水システムを更に含む、請求項1に記載のバッテリ電解液面監視システム。 - 前記給バッテリ水システムは、ポンプ又は弁を含む、請求項6に記載のバッテリ電解液面監視システム。
- 前記コントローラは、マイクロコントローラ、特定用途向け集積回路又はフィールドプログラマブルゲートアレイである、請求項1に記載のバッテリ電解液面監視システム。
- 液体電解質バッテリのセル内の液面を測定するための、バッテリ電解液面監視方法であって、
基準電極と、前記プローブの長手方向に配置される複数のアレイ電極を有する電極アレイとを含むプローブを提供することと、
各アレイ電極のために、前記基準電極と各アレイ電極との間の容量結合の測定値を判定することと、
各アレイ電極のために測定される値を格納することと、
各アレイ電極のために測定される値の平均値を経時的に判定し、
各アレイ電極のための前記平均値を格納することと、
各アレイ電極のための前記平均値を、前記バッテリの前記セル内の前記液体電解質のレベルの許容範囲に対応する所定の範囲と比較することと、
前記アレイ電極の前記平均値のいずれか一つが、前記所定の範囲を超えることに応答して、第1の出力を提供し、
前記アレイ電極の前記平均値のすべてが、前記所定の範囲内にあることに応答して、第2の出力を提供し、
前記アレイ電極の前記平均値のいずれか一つが、前記所定の範囲より低いことに応答して、第3の出力を提供することと、
前記第1、第2、第3の出力が、互いに異なることと
を含む方法。 - 前記第1、第2、第3の出力を遠隔装置に通信することを更に含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 通信する前記ステップは、無線ネットワークを介して実行される、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記第1、第2、第3の出力に基づき、前記バッテリセル内への液体のフローを制御することを更に含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記バッテリセル内への前記液体のフローを制御することは、ポンプを制御すること又は弁を制御することを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記電極アレイは、前記基準電極と隣接する、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記基準電極及び前記電極アレイは、前記プローブの共通の長手方向表面に沿って延びる、請求項9に記載の方法。
