Description
Claims (15)
- 印刷剤噴射ノズルを備えるプリントヘッドを収容するためのプリントヘッドキャリッジと、
液滴検出器であって、液滴検出の期間中に該液滴検出器によって検出されたパラメータの変化を示す信号を取得するための液滴検出器と、
印刷剤噴射シグネチャーを保持するための記憶装置と、
前記液滴検出器信号と前記印刷剤噴射シグネチャーとの畳み込みを行うためのコンボリューションモジュールを備える処理回路
を備え、
前記処理回路は、前記コンボリューションモジュールの出力から、前記液滴検出器信号と前記印刷剤噴射シグネチャーとの類似度の指示を決定することができることからなる、印刷装置。 - 前記記憶装置は、複数の印刷剤噴射シグネチャーを保持することができ、
前記処理回路は、
前記印刷剤の色と、
前記印刷剤のタイプと、
前記印刷剤の意図された体積
のうちの少なくとも1つに基づいて、意図された印刷剤噴射の後に得られた液滴検出器信号と畳み込みを行うための印刷剤噴射シグネチャーを選択する選択モジュールを備えることからなる、請求項1の印刷装置。 - 前記液滴検出器は、放射強度を検出するための放射検出器を備え、前記パラメータは放射強度値を含む、請求項1の印刷装置。
- 前記記憶装置は、複数の印刷剤噴射シグネチャーを保持することができ、
前記コンボリューションモジュールは、前記液滴検出器信号と複数の印刷剤噴射シグネチャーとの畳み込みを行うことができ、前記処理装置は、前記液滴検出器信号が最も類似する印刷剤噴射シグネチャーを識別することができることからなる、請求項1の印刷装置。 - 前記処理回路は、類似度の指示に基づいて、前記印刷剤を噴射したノズルの動作状態の指示を決定するためのノズル評価モジュールを備える、請求項1の印刷装置。
- 前記処理回路は、前記コンボリューションモジュールの前記出力におけるピーク高さから類似度の指示を決定することができる、請求項1の印刷装置。
- 前記液滴検出器信号及び前記印刷剤噴射シグネチャーは、畳み込みの前に正規化される、請求項1の印刷装置。
- プリントヘッドノズルから噴射されたある量の印刷剤の通過を検出するための検出器からの信号を取得するステップと、
プロセッサを用いて、前記取得された信号とモデル印刷剤通過信号との畳み込みを行うことによって前記取得された信号をフィルタリングするステップと、
プロセッサを用いて、前記フィルタリングされた信号に基づいて、前記プリントヘッドノズルの動作状態の指示を決定するステップ
を含む方法。 - 前記プリントヘッドノズルの動作状態の指示を決定するステップが、前記フィルタリングされた信号に基づいて類似度パラメータを決定することを含む、請求項8の方法。
- プロセッサを用いて、意図された印刷剤噴射の印刷剤の特性に基づいて、複数のモデル印刷剤通過信号からモデル印刷剤通過信号を選択するステップ、及び、該選択された1以上のモデル印刷剤通過信号を用いてフィルタリングされた信号を決定するステップをさらに含む、請求項8の方法。
- プロセッサを用いて、複数のモデル印刷剤通過信号の各々を用いてフィルタリングされた信号を決定するステップ、及び、前記取得された信号に最も良く合致するモデル印刷剤通過信号を識別するステップをさらに含む、請求項8の方法。
- 取得された信号に最も良く合致するモデル印刷剤通過信号を識別する前記ステップが、最大のピークを有する前記フィルタリングされた信号を決定することを含む、請求項11の方法。
- プロセッサによって実行されると、該プロセッサに、
噴射イベント時にプリントヘッドによって供給される印刷剤の特性を決定するステップと、
前記特性に関連する印刷剤噴射シグネチャーを識別するステップと、
前記噴射イベント時にある量の印刷剤を供給することを試みた後に液滴検出器出力信号を取得するステップ、及び、
前記印刷剤噴射シグネチャーと前記液滴検出器出力信号との畳み込みを行うことによって、前記噴射イベントの成功の指示を決定するステップ
を実行させる命令を含む有形の機械可読媒体。 - データストアを含む請求項13の機械可読媒体であって、該データストアは、複数の印刷剤噴射シグネチャーを含み、それぞれの印刷剤噴射シグネチャーは、印刷剤の色と印刷剤の体積との少なくとも一方を含む特性に関連付けられることからなる、機械可読媒体。
- 前記データストアは、共通の1組の特性に関連付けられた複数の印刷剤噴射シグネチャーを含む、請求項14の機械可読媒体。
