Description
本明細書で使用される場合、用語「光ファイバケーブル」は、緩衝された又はジャケット付きのフィラメントを含むケーブルを指す。フィラメントは、典型的には、プラスチック又はガラスから形成され、典型的にはデータ通信の目的のために、一方の端部から他方の端部へフィラメント内を光が伝搬する。
図1及び図2を参照すると、分離可能なロック式光ファイバアダプタ10及びLCレセプタクル12の代表的な実施形態が示されている。図は、必ずしも実際のスケールで示されていない。1つの実施形態に関して記載、及び/又は、図示される特徴は、1つ以上の他の実施形態において同一の方法又は同様の方法で使用することができ、及び/又は、他の実施形態の特徴と組み合わせて、又はその代わりに使用されることができる。
Claims (14)
- ハウジングの第1の端部における第1の開口部と前記ハウジングの第2の端部における第2の開口部との間に延伸する長手方向通路を有する前記ハウジングであって、光ファイバレセプタクル内にフィットしたサイズを有する前記ハウジングと;
前記ハウジング内の光ファイバ終端を保持するように構成された、前記ハウジングの前記長手方向通路内の偏向可能な部材と;
前記ハウジングと接続し、前記ハウジングの前記レセプタクルからの分離を防止するために前記光ファイバレセプタクル内の保持ノッチ内にフィットしたサイズを有するロック部材と、
を備え、
前記偏向可能な部材は、前記終端によって保持された光ファイバフィラメントの先端を、前記光ファイバレセプタクルによって保持された光学部品と光学的に接触させるために、前記終端の後方停止部として機能する、
光ファイバアダプタ。 - 前記偏向可能な部材は、前記終端が前記長手方向通路へ挿入された際、前記終端によって半径方向外向きに付勢されるように構成された1つ以上の内側に偏向された偏向可能なフィンガを含む、請求項1に記載の光ファイバアダプタ。
- 前記フィンガは、前記終端が前記長手方向通路を通って移動した際、前記終端が前記アダプタから取り外されるのを防止するように、前記終端の後方レッジと係合するように半径方向内向きに移動するように構成される、請求項2に記載の光ファイバアダプタ。
- 前記ハウジングは、前記長手方向通路の輪郭を定める内壁と、前記内壁のスロットとを含み、
前記偏向可能な部材は、前記偏向可能な部材を前記長手方向通路に固定するために、前記スロットと接続する、
請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の光ファイバアダプタ。 - 前記偏向可能な部材は、前記スロット内へスナップ嵌めするC字型クリップである、請求項4に記載の光ファイバアダプタ。
- 前記ロック部材は、前記ハウジングとは別個の部品である、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の光ファイバアダプタ。
- 前記光ファイバ終端と前記光ファイバレセプタクル内の光学部品との間の光路を封止するために、前記ハウジングに固定されたシール部材をさらに含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の光ファイバアダプタ。
- 前記シール部材の一部は、前記長手方向通路内に配置され、
前記シール部材の一部は、前記第1の開口部を通って前記ハウジングの前記第1の端部を通過して延伸する、
請求項7に記載の光ファイバアダプタ。 - 前記シール部材の一部は、前記ハウジングに設けられ前記第1の開口部に対して垂直方向に延伸する第3の開口部へ、前記ハウジングの前記長手方向通路の半径方向外向きに延伸する、請求項8に記載の光ファイバアダプタ。
- 前記ロック部材を前記ハウジングに固定する固定部材をさらに含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の光ファイバアダプタ。
- 前記ハウジングと前記ロック部材の各々は、前記ロック部材を前記ハウジングに固定するために、前記固定部材を受け入れる、他と整列するように構成された開口部を含む、請求項10に記載の光ファイバアダプタ。
- 前記ロック部材は、前記固定部材のヘッドを収容するための凹部を含む、請求項10又は11に記載の光ファイバアダプタ。
- 前記長手方向通路は、前記光ファイバ終端の半径方向外向きに延伸する部材のためのガイドとして機能するために、前記通路の長さに沿って少なくとも部分的に延伸する1つ以上のノッチを含む、請求項1〜12のいずれか1項に記載の光ファイバアダプタ。
- 固定部材をさらに備え、
前記ロック部材、前記固定部材、及び前記ハウジングは、互いに拘束されている、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の光ファイバアダプタ。
