Description
本発明における味覚センサーはヒトの味覚検出システムを模倣して作られているもので、脂質膜を用いたセンサーへの味の基本物質に対する応答性を測定し評価するものである。
味覚センサーのセンサーに用いられている脂質膜は、種類によって酸味、塩味、甘味、苦味、旨味等の基本味に対する応答性で味検出を行っており、味の基本物質を複数混合した場合でも、センサーへの応答性の特性により類型化することができる。
また後味は先味を測定後に、センサーを基準溶液で簡易に共洗いをし、再度基準溶液に浸して膜電位Vr’を得ることで、この膜電位変化(Vr’−Vr)により求めることができる。
ここでいう先味は口に食べ物を入れた瞬間の味覚であり、後味は食べ物を飲み込んだ際に口に広がる味覚と捉えることができる。本評価方法において、先味は皮膚外用剤が眼に入った直後の痛みとして、後味は痛みの持続性に反映することができる。
また上述の先味のセンサー出力値だけでなく、後味として得られたセンサー出力値を刺激性及び/又は刺激の持続性評価に用いることもできる。
これにより得られたセンサー出力値により刺激性の有無及び/又は強度を判断することができる。
また、味覚センサーで測定された苦味センサー及び/又は渋味センサーの値が10以上となる場合、強度の痛みを感じると判断することができる。
装置はこれらが測定出来るものであれば特に限定するものではないが、例えばインテリジェントセンサーテクノロジー社製の味認識装置SA402Bが使用可能である。
例えば、上記記載のアルコール等を添加することにより、皮膚外用剤に用いることができる界面活性剤の溶解度を向上させることができる。
次に実施例を挙げ本発明を更に詳しく説明するが、本発明はこれらの実施例になんら制約されるものでない。
官能評価は5名のパネルにより、0.05mlの溶液を点眼して刺激性の有無及び/又は強度を評価した。
評価基準は以下の通りである。
+++ :強度の痛みを感じる
++ :痛みを感じる
+ :違和感を感じる
− :痛みも違和感も感じない

- 界面活性剤の眼刺激性を味覚センサーで測定した値に基づいて評価することを特徴とする眼刺激性評価方法。
- 味覚センサーで測定された値が、苦味センサー及び/又は渋味センサーの値であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の眼刺激性評価方法。
- 界面活性剤が非イオン性界面活性剤であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の眼刺激性評価方法。
