Description
本出願は、2012年10月22日に提出された「Hybrid Fluorescence−Optoacoustic Catheter」と題する米国仮特許出願第61/716,881号、および、2013年1月22日に出願された「Hybrid Catheter System」と題する米国仮特許出願第61/755,057号からの優先権およびその利益を主張する。上記特許出願の各々の開示は、参照によりその全体が本明細書に組み込まれる。
Claims (13)
- 標的の少なくとも1つの部分に関する情報を得るように構築されているデータ収集システムであって、前記システムは光電気要素とトランスデューサとを備え、
前記光電気要素は、
コア、前記コアを包囲するコーティング、光軸、近位端、および遠位端を有する光ファイバ要素であって、前記光ファイバは、前記近位端と遠位端との間で光を伝送するように構築されている、光ファイバ要素と、
前記近位端および遠位端を電気的に接続するための、前記光軸に沿って前記コーティング内に埋め込まれている電気部材と、
を含み、
前記トランスデューサは、
前記遠位端に配置されており、前記電気部材に電気的に接続され、
前記近位端から前記遠位端に伝送されており、前記遠位端から前記標的に向けて出力結合されている励起光に応答して生成される第1のエネルギーを受け取り、前記受け取った第1のエネルギーを、前記電気部材に沿って送信されることになる電気信号に変換するように動作可能であって、
前記遠位端と前記トランスデューサとの間に位置付けられている光結合ユニットをさらに備え、
前記光結合ユニットは、第2のエネルギーを受け取るように動作可能であり、前記第2のエネルギーは、前記励起光の波長とは異なる波長にある光エネルギーである
ことを特徴とするデータ収集システム。 - 前記第1のエネルギーは音響エネルギーである、請求項1に記載のデータ収集システム。
- 前記光結合ユニットは、前記光軸を中心として回転可能である、請求項1に記載のデータ収集システム。
- 前記光結合ユニットおよび前記トランスデューサは、前記光軸を中心として同時に回転可能である、請求項3に記載のデータ収集システム。
- 前記電気部材は、前記コアを包囲するクラッディングの第一と第二溝に設けられた第1と第2の金属製ワイヤを備え、前記クラッディングは前記コーティングによって包囲されている、請求項1に記載のデータ収集システム。
- 前記標的は管腔を含み、前記光電気要素は、前記管腔内に挿入可能であるような寸法にされている単一シャフトカテーテルとして構成されている、請求項1に記載のデータ収集システム。
- 前記近位端と光学的に結合されており、前記励起光を、前記標的に、前記励起光によって照明されるのに応答して、前記第1のエネルギーを生成させるのに十分な周波数において生成するように構成されている光源をさらに備える、請求項1に記載のデータ収集システム。
- 前記電気部材は、前記光ファイバの前記軸を中心として対称に埋め込まれている第1のワイヤおよび第2のワイヤを含む、請求項1に記載のデータ収集システム。
- 前記近位端においてロータリージョイントを通じて前記光電気要素と動作可能に接続されている画像データ処理回路をさらに備える、請求項1に記載のデータ収集システム。
- 前記トランスデューサは、超音波送受信機として構成されている、請求項1に記載のデータ収集システム。
- 前記光電気要素は、前記光軸に対して横断する方向において、前記遠位端から光を出力結合する機能を備えている、請求項1に記載のデータ収集システム。
- 前記光ファイバは、単一モード光ファイバおよびマルチモード光ファイバのうちの1つを含む、請求項1に記載のデータ収集システム。
- 前記光軸を中心とした前記光電気要素および前記トランスデューサの同時回転を可能にするように構成されているロータリージョイントをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のデータ収集システム。
