このように、正面視略V字形の刃部形状に合うような、オイル6bを含浸する弾性体6aを備えることで、正面視略V字形の可動刃5bと固定刃5aとのせん断作用により用紙を切断する場合でも、正面視略V字形の刃先のV部最深部近傍に確実にオイルが塗布されるので、該部に糊や紙粉が付着するのを防ぐことができる。また、可動刃5bの形状と、オイル6bを含浸する弾性体6aとが合うので、可動刃5bの移動に際して負荷にならない。
また、このように可動刃5bの刃部を正面視略V字形にすることで、ラベル用紙8’は幅方向両側方から中央に向かって切断されるようになるので、該可動刃5bの移動距離を少なくすることができる。それにより、切断手段5をコンパクトなユニットにすることができる。
