Description

The technique disclosed by this specification is related with the electric wire with a terminal, and a molded connector.

Conventionally, as a terminal provided with a crimping part to be crimped to a conductor part of an electric wire, for example, a terminal described in Patent Document 1 below is known. This terminal is provided with a crimping part with a pair of crimping pieces provided on both side edges of the bottom plate, and the conductor part of the electric wire is placed on the bottom plate, and in this state, both the crimping pieces are rolled inward and crimped to the B type. Crimping is performed with this.

However, when the electric wire is thick and short and bent at a steep angle, the electric wire is pressed against the end of the crimping piece, and the conductor is disconnected due to further vibration. There is a fear.

The electric wire with a terminal disclosed by the present specification is an electric wire with a terminal in which a terminal is connected to an end portion of the electric wire, and the electric wire includes a core wire and a coating covering the core wire, and the terminal Is a bottom plate, a pair of core wire crimping pieces to be crimped to the core wire together with the bottom plate, a pair of coated crimping pieces to be crimped to the coating together with the bottom plate, the pair of core wire crimping pieces and the pair of coated crimping pieces And a height of the connecting portion from the bottom plate is substantially the same as or higher than a height of the core wire from the bottom plate. It was set as the structure by which the clearance gap was ensured between the front-end | tips of a piece.

According to such a configuration, the pair of core crimping pieces and the pair of coated crimping pieces are respectively connected by the pair of connecting portions, and the height from the bottom plate of the connecting portions is substantially the same as or higher than the core wires. Therefore, when the wire is bent at a steep angle, the core is pressed against the ends of the pair of core crimping pieces, even though the coating is pressed against the ends of the pair of crimped crimping pieces. Can be avoided. Therefore, it is possible to avoid disconnection of the core wire due to vibration.

Moreover, since the clearance gap was ensured between the front-end | tips of a pair of covering crimping piece, it can avoid that the adhesiveness with respect to coating | cover falls because the front-end | tips of a pair of covering crimping piece collide in the middle of crimping | compression-bonding. As a result, the pair of coated crimping pieces can be brought into close contact with the coating, and the bending stress due to the bending of the electric wire can be prevented from being blocked by the pair of coated crimping pieces and transmitted to the core wire.

The electric wire with a terminal indicated by this specification is good also as the following composition.
The pair of connecting portions may have a notch that allows an end portion of the covering to be exposed to the outside.
According to such a structure, since it can confirm visually that the edge part of a coating | cover is located in a notch, it can confirm that the electric wire is connected to the terminal in the regular position.

Further, the technology disclosed in the present specification may be applied to a molded connector including the above-described electric wire with a terminal and a resin mold portion that embeds a region of the electric wire with the terminal that is crimped to the electric wire. .

According to the technology disclosed in this specification, it is possible to avoid the core wire from being broken by vibration.

<Embodiment>
The embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings of FIGS. As shown in FIG. 1, the molded connector 10 according to the present embodiment is formed integrally with the resin mold portion 20 in a state where a plurality of electric wires 30 with terminals are arranged in parallel. The molded connector 10 is a connector used for connecting to a device that is used at an end portion of a power cable that connects devices such as a motor and an inverter.

The resin mold part 20 is made of synthetic resin, and has a fitting part 21 that fits into a mounting hole (not shown) provided in the device, as shown in FIG. A fitting groove 22 in which a rubber ring (not shown) is fitted is provided on the outer periphery of the fitting portion 21. When the fitting portion 21 is fitted into the mounting hole of the device, the rubber ring is sandwiched between the bottom surface of the fitting groove 22 and the inner peripheral surface of the mounting hole, so that the inside of the device is stopped.

The terminal-attached electric wire 30 includes a terminal 40 and an electric wire 50 as shown in FIG. Among these, the electric wire 50 includes a core wire 51 configured by bundling a plurality of metal strands, and a coating 52 formed of an insulating resin that covers the core wire 51. The electric wire 50 in this embodiment is a thick electric wire of 5 sq or more, and is a short electric wire of 100 mm or less.

The terminal 40 includes a flat connection portion 41 connected to a terminal block installed inside the device, a bottom plate 43 extending rearward from the rear end of the connection portion 41 via a step 42, and both sides of the bottom plate 43. A pair of core crimping pieces 44 and a pair of covering crimping pieces 45 provided at the edges are provided. The pair of core wire crimping pieces 44 are arranged on the front side (the connecting portion 41 side) of the pair of coated crimping pieces 45, and the pair of core wire crimping pieces 44 and the pair of coated crimping pieces 45 are connected to each other. A pair of connecting portions 46 are provided. Therefore, the core wire crimping piece 44, the connecting portion 46, and the covering crimping piece 45 are provided continuously in this order.

The pair of core wire crimping pieces 44 are bent so as to pierce into the center portion of the core wire 51 from both side edges of the bottom plate 43, and are crimped to the core wire 51 together with the bottom plate 43. In addition, the pair of coated crimping pieces 45 are bent from both side edges of the bottom plate 43 along the outer peripheral surface of the coating 52, and are crimped to the coating 52 together with the bottom plate 43. As shown in FIG. 4, a gap 47 is secured between the tips 45 </ b> A of the pair of coated crimping pieces 45. This prevents the tip 45A from abutting against each other while the pair of coated crimping pieces 45 are crimped to the coating 52, thereby avoiding uneven contact with the coating 52, and the pair of coated crimping pieces 45 against the coating 52. Will adhere to the entire surface.

As shown in FIG. 5, the height of the connecting portion 46 from the bottom plate 43 is substantially the same as the height of the core wire 51 from the bottom plate 43. For this reason, the core wire 51 is substantially hidden by the connecting portion 46 when viewed from the side. The height of the core wire crimping piece 44 from the bottom plate 43 is lower than the height of the covering crimping piece 45 from the bottom plate 43 and higher than the height of the connecting portion 46 from the bottom plate 43.

Further, as shown in FIG. 4, the pair of core wire crimping pieces 44, the pair of connecting portions 46, and the pair of coated crimping pieces 45 are continuous at an equal width without a step, and therefore the rear end 44 </ b> R of the core wire crimping piece 44. Will contact only the upper surface of the core wire 51. This means that there is no edge in contact with the side surface of the core wire 51 at the position of the connecting portion 46. Moreover, the edge which contact | connects the lower surface of the core wire 51 does not exist originally in the baseplate 43 side. Therefore, the side surface and the lower surface of the core wire 51 are not damaged by the edge at the position of the connecting portion 46.

Furthermore, since the coating 52 is fixed so as not to move by the pair of coated crimping pieces 45, bending stress generated when the electric wire 50 is bent at a steep angle is blocked by the pair of coated crimping pieces 45. In addition to this, the vibration from the electric wire 50 is also blocked by the pair of coated crimping pieces 45, so that the vibration is not transmitted to the core wire 51. Therefore, even if the upper surface of the core wire 51 is in contact with the rear end 44R of the core wire crimping piece 44, the upper surface of the core wire 51 is not damaged by the rear end 44R of the core wire crimping piece 44. As a result, it can be said that the core wire 51 is not broken by the vibration from the electric wire 50.

On the other hand, the rear end 45 </ b> R of the coated crimping piece 45 is in contact with the entire circumference of the coating 52, and it is assumed that the coating 52 is damaged by the vibration of the electric wire 50. However, even if the coating 52 is damaged, the core wire 51 is not damaged. That is, at least the core wire 51 is not damaged by the rear end 45R of the coated crimping piece 45, and it can be said that the core wire 51 is not broken.

The connecting portion 46 has a notch 48 that opens upward, and the front end portion 52 </ b> A of the covering 52 faces the outside from the notch 48. As described above, it is possible to confirm that the electric wire 50 is connected to the terminal 40 at a proper position when the front end portion 52A of the covering 52 is located within the range of the notch 48 in the front-rear direction.

As shown in FIG. 3, an insertion hole 23 is provided inside the fitting portion 21 of the resin mold portion 20. The insertion hole 23 has a form penetrating in the vertical direction. In the insertion hole 23, the connection portion 41 of the terminal 40 is disposed in a horizontal posture, and the peripheral portion of the bolt hole 41 </ b> A of the connection portion 41 faces upward from the insertion hole 23. A bolt can be inserted into the bolt hole 41A, and a tool can be inserted from the insertion hole 23 and fastened. Thereby, the connection part 41 is fastened by the terminal block of an apparatus. On the other hand, the bottom plate 43 is disposed obliquely upward from the connection portion 41. 3, the terminal 40 is embedded in the resin mold portion 20 so that the bottom plate 43 faces upward and the pair of core wire crimping pieces 44 and the pair of coated crimping pieces 45 face downward. .

In the resin mold part 20, a part where the part extending from the step 42 of the terminal 40 to the coated crimping piece 45 is buried is the buried part 24. The embedded portion 24 is configured to be inclined obliquely upward from the side portion of the fitting portion 21, and a pair of core wire crimping pieces 44, a pair of coated crimping pieces 45, and a part of the coating 52 are fixed by molding. Here, a part of the coating 52 is a portion of the coating 52 immediately after being pulled backward from the pair of coated crimping pieces 45 (hereinafter referred to as “drawing portion 52B”), and the drawing portion 52B is embedded. It is fixed by the part 24. Therefore, the pair of core crimping pieces 44, the pair of coated crimping pieces 45, and the lead portions 52 </ b> B of the coating 52 are not damaged by vibration from the electric wires 50.

As described above, in the present embodiment, the pair of core wire crimping pieces 44 and the pair of coated crimping pieces 45 are connected by the pair of connecting portions 46, and the height of the connecting portion 46 from the bottom plate 43 is high. Since the core wire 51 is substantially the same as or higher than the core wire 51, the coating 52 is pressed against the ends (rear ends 45R) of the pair of coated crimping pieces 45 when the electric wire 50 is bent at a steep angle. The core wire 51 can be prevented from being pressed against the end portions (rear end 44R) of the pair of core wire crimping pieces 44. Therefore, disconnection of the core wire 51 due to vibration can be avoided.

In addition, since the gap 47 is secured between the tips 45A of the pair of coated crimping pieces 45, it is avoided that the adhesion to the coating 52 is reduced due to the tips 45A of the pair of coated crimped pieces 45 colliding with each other during the crimping. it can. As a result, the pair of coated crimping pieces 45 can be brought into close contact with the coating 52, and the bending stress due to the bending of the electric wire 50 can be prevented from being blocked by the pair of coated crimping pieces 45 and transmitted to the core wire 51.

The pair of connecting portions 46 may have a notch 48 that allows the end portion (front end portion 52A) of the covering 52 to face the outside.
According to such a configuration, since it can be visually confirmed that the end portion of the covering 52 is located in the notch 48, it can be confirmed that the electric wire 50 is connected to the terminal 40 at a regular position.

Further, the technique disclosed in this specification is applied to the molded connector 10 including the above-described terminal-attached electric wire 30 and the resin mold portion 20 that embeds a region of the terminal-attached electric wire 30 that is crimped to the electric wire 50.
