Description
The present invention relates to a process cartridge and a photosensitive unit including a developing roller and a photosensitive drum.
As a process cartridge used in an image forming apparatus such as a laser printer, a housing that accommodates the developer, a developing roller that carries the developer on the outer peripheral surface, a gap between both ends of the outer peripheral surface of the developing roller and the housing There is known one provided with a photoconductive drum on which a developer image is formed by supplying a developer from an arranged seal member and a developing roller (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
By the way, after the developer image is transferred to a sheet or the like, the developer remaining on the photosensitive drum may move from the photosensitive drum to the developing roller. At this time, if the developer adheres to the end portion of the outer peripheral surface of the developing roller, the developer may enter between the developing roller and the seal member due to the rotation of the developing roller, which may reduce the sealing performance.
The present invention has been made in view of the above background, and suppresses the developer from entering between the developing roller and the seal member when the developer moves from the photosensitive drum onto the developing roller. An object of the present invention is to provide a process cartridge and a photoconductor unit that can perform the above process.
In order to achieve the above-described object, a process cartridge according to the present invention is configured to have a housing configured to contain a developer, and to be rotatably provided on the housing, and to carry the developer on an outer peripheral surface. The developing roller, a seal member disposed between both ends of the outer peripheral surface of the developing roller in the rotation axis direction of the developing roller and the housing, and a rotation member provided rotatably at a position facing the developing roller. A photosensitive drum configured to form a developer image when the developer is supplied; and a developer return member.
The developer returning member is disposed at a position where at least a part of the developer returning member overlaps with the seal member when viewed from the direction orthogonal to the rotation axis of the photosensitive drum, and is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum. The developer adhering to is moved inward in the rotational axis direction of the photosensitive drum.
According to such a configuration, the developer is moved from the photosensitive drum to the developing roller by moving the developer attached to the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum by the developer returning member toward the inner side in the rotation axis direction of the photosensitive drum. It is possible to suppress the developer from adhering to the end portion of the outer peripheral surface of the developing roller when moved to. As a result, the developer can be prevented from entering between the developing roller and the seal member.
In the above-described process cartridge, the developer return member is a groove that extends toward the inner side in the rotational axis direction of the photosensitive drum from the upstream side to the downstream side in the rotational direction of the photosensitive drum at a portion that contacts the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum. It can be set as the structure which has these.
According to this, since the developer can be moved along the groove, the developer can be moved efficiently.
In the process cartridge described above, the developer return member may be arranged at both ends of the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum in the rotation axis direction of the photosensitive drum.
According to this, since the developer returning member can be reduced in size compared to the case where the developer returning member is provided longer in the rotation axis direction of the photosensitive drum, the process cartridge can be reduced in size. In other words, the developer return member can be arranged in a narrow space, compared to the case where the developer return member is provided longer in the rotation axis direction, so that the process cartridge can be enlarged due to the provision of the developer return member. Can be suppressed.
In the process cartridge described above, the outer peripheral surface of the developing roller has a contact region that contacts the seal member, and a non-contact region that is inside the contact region in the rotation axis direction of the developing roller and does not contact the seal member. The developer returning member can be configured to be disposed at a position overlapping both the contact area and the non-contact area when viewed from the direction orthogonal to the rotation axis of the photosensitive drum.
According to this, the developer attached to the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum by the developer return member can be moved to a position corresponding to the non-contact area, so that when the developer moves to the developing roller, It is possible to suppress the developer from adhering to the contact area of the developing roller. Accordingly, it is possible to further suppress the developer from entering between the developing roller and the seal member.
In the process cartridge described above, the developer return member can be made of a fiber.
The process cartridge described above includes an adhering matter removing member configured to remove the adhering matter adhering to the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum after the developer image is transferred by contacting the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum. The developer returning member may be arranged downstream of the deposit removing member and upstream of the developing roller in the rotation direction of the photosensitive drum.
According to this, even if the developer moves to a position corresponding to the end portion of the outer peripheral surface of the developing roller by receiving a force between the photosensitive drum and the deposit removing member, it is arranged on the downstream side in the rotation direction. By the developer returning member thus formed, the developer can be returned to the inside in the rotation axis direction. Thereby, even in the configuration in which the deposit removing member that contacts the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum is provided, the developer can be prevented from entering between the developing roller and the seal member.
Further, the process cartridge described above is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum, and a developer removing member configured to remove the developer remaining on the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum after transferring the developer image. The developer return member may be arranged downstream of the position where the developer image is transferred and upstream of the developer removal member in the rotational direction of the photosensitive drum. it can.
According to this, the developer attached to the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum can be removed by the developer removing member after the developer is moved by the developer returning member to the inner side in the rotation axis direction. The movement of the developer itself can be suppressed. Accordingly, it is possible to further suppress the developer from entering between the developing roller and the seal member.
In the process cartridge described above, the groove of the developer return member may be configured to extend at an angle of 45 ° or less with respect to the rotation axis of the photosensitive drum.
According to the present invention, when the developer moves from the photosensitive drum onto the developing roller, the developer can be prevented from entering between the developing roller and the seal member.

The
In the

<Detailed configuration of process cartridge>
As shown in FIG. 2, the
The developing
The
The developing
The
The
As shown in FIG. 4, the outer
As shown in FIG. 2, the
The
The
As shown in FIG. 5, the
The cleaning
In the present embodiment, the positively charged toner is basically not removed from the outer
As shown in FIG. 4, the roller portion of the cleaning
Returning to FIG. 5, the
The
As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6A and 6B, the
Although detailed arrangement will be described later, as shown in FIG. 6A, the
FIG. 7 shows an enlarged view of the
As shown in FIG. 7, the
As the weaving method of the
A plurality of the
In the
In the

As the

More specifically, each
As shown in FIG. 5, the
Next, the effect of this embodiment comprised as mentioned above is demonstrated.
After the toner image is transferred to the paper S, some toner may remain on the outer
At this time, if the
As shown in FIGS. 8A and 8B, in the present embodiment, the
In particular, in this embodiment, since the
In this embodiment, since the
In this embodiment, since the
The toner that has moved from the
[Second Embodiment]
Next, a second embodiment will be described. In the embodiment described below, differences from the first embodiment will be mainly described in detail, and the same components as those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the same points as in the first embodiment. The description of is omitted as appropriate.
As shown in FIG. 9, the cleaning
The
Also in this embodiment, as in the first embodiment, the toner attached to the outer
By the way, when the toner remaining on the outer
The
As mentioned above, although main embodiment was described, this invention is not limited to the said embodiment. About a concrete structure, it can change suitably in the range which does not deviate from the meaning of invention as follows.
In the above-described embodiment, the cleaning
In this case, as shown in FIG. 5, the
The developer removing member and the deposit removing member are not limited to a roller-like member such as the cleaning
In the above-described embodiment, the
In the above embodiment, the
In the above-described embodiment, the
In the above-described embodiment, the process cartridge includes the
In the above embodiment, the laser printer 1 capable of forming only a monochrome image is exemplified as an image forming apparatus using the process cartridge of the present invention. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and for example, a printer capable of forming a color image. There may be. The image forming apparatus is not limited to a printer, and may be, for example, a copier or a multi-function machine including a document reading apparatus such as a flat bed scanner.
In the above-described embodiment, the example in which the configuration using positively chargeable toner is described has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the present invention can also be applied to a configuration using negatively charged toner (developer). In this case, the polarity of the bias is opposite to that in the above embodiment.
