左右方向にスライド開閉する引戸の戸先の嵌合孔に嵌め込まれ、側壁の先端部にフランジ部分及び前記側壁に弾性爪板部分を有するケースと、このケースに垂直軸を介して回転自在に軸支され、先端部に係止爪を有するラッチと、このラッチの基端部に一体的に設けられ或いは該ラッチと一体成形され、かつ前記ケースの内部空間に位置すると共に、該内部空間の左右の範囲内で操作力によりバネ部材のバネ力に抗して引戸の開く方向に回転しながら位置変位し、かつ前記操作力が解かれると前記バネ部材のバネ力により引戸を拘束する方向へ逆回転しながら復帰する引手操作片を備える引戸ラッチ装置であって、
前記ケースを前記戸先に嵌め込む時、前記弾性爪板部分の爪が前記嵌合孔の縁部分に摺接することにより該弾性爪板部分が前記内部空間側に弾性変位する一方、前記爪が前記縁部分を通過すると、前記弾性爪板部分が復帰し、この弾性爪板部分の復帰状態をロックするロック片を前記ケースに設けたことを特徴とする引戸ラッチ装置。
